You're phenomenal. Fabulous journalism. Why the hell hasn't HGTV offerred you a six-figure salary (to start)? Voice, storytelling and historical details (really superb, wonderfully crafted), witful commentary, all of it--whether a docu-story or the travails of life in a van. Truly remarkable, Casey.
Imho, you & Lettie of Lettie's Life win the prize. Every time.

I went on a tour to see Bolt castle before there was any restoration. It looks so different now. When I saw it people had stripped it of anything valuable, so glad to see it as it was meant to be. Will definitely go to take another tour as I did not realise they were restoring it. It is a sad story now, but it broke my heart when I saw it before and it has remained in my mind for years.

It certainly looks different compared to 20 years ago when I went. I can't remember specifics, but all of the pictures that were taken when little 6 year old me was there compared to my visit in 2019 show all of the renovations made. Blocked off areas were open and the pool looked nothing like the images

I was there when they were working on the walls, some of the ceiling had been plastered. A pool table had already been moved in. The grounds had been landscaped and blooming. Beautiful.

I live my life now milking every drop of joy and wonder out of every minute of every day...you just never know what life is gonna throw at you. Make the best of what you got and live your best life. Thank you Casey for telling the important stories that we all can learn fro.!

I just visited the castle June 2, 2024. I absolutely loved it. When we got there, we actually explored the basement first. As a person who understands what’s in the walls and how things are built, I went straight for the basement and started exploring wherever I could. It’s unfortunate that I couldn’t explore some of the unfinished spaces that were blocked off. I always love to see how things were built back then. I would love to revisit again down the road to see how the upstairs comes along

Awww! That made me cry and made me miss my late husband even more than I already do. Such a beautiful place. Such a tragic love story. Now this appeals to my paranormal investigator side-since it was supposed to be such a special, true everlasting gift for the love of his life, maybe both their spirits reside there now. They weren't meant to be there in life, but maybe in the afterlife, they are together there now. Thank you, Casey! Another awesome video! Love ya!!

The preservation of buildings such as this is a necessity.. for it’s architecture, art, landscapes, outside buildings, bridges as well as the interior was truly breathtaking. Was there in 2005, my first vacation on my own, they were just getting going with the restoration and only the downstairs and the staircase and of course the beautiful stained glass were done. I, too spent many hours there, especially upstairs in what was thought to be a library, sitting on a bench gazing out the French doors that overlooked the seaway. I miss that place badly and hope to someday return. Thank you for your beautiful tour.
