With all the murder and chaos in Equador there is no surprise it's up for sale. Probably more to come up for sale. Does it come with battle helmet and plate carrier for safety?
The sellers of this condo have zero desire to leave and are actually upgrading to a larger condo in another beautiful beachfront building. They have been living here for several years and feel very happy and safe here, just as we do. There has been very little "chaos" towards the general public, unlike the US where there are mass shootings on a daily basis, road rage, home invasions, school shootings etc. You even had a shooting at the Super Bowl parade with 24 people injured. We saw US news the other day talking about a new craze of sucker punching random people in several US states. Thankfully we don't have to worry about any of those things here. We worry about sunburns.
That would explain why millions of people from all ver the globe including Equadorians are risking their lives to get to America. Yes equadorians too. Must be horrible here.
Lets be honest though, what is the real deal with the troubles in Manta? Is it even safe to think about moving to Equador now? If people are getting out for that reason then they should be selling these at a huge discount.
These sellers are actually trading up and purchasing a larger brand new condo in Manta!:) Our area continues to be very safe, especially when compared to the US and it's unfortunate regular mass shootings, school shootings, road rage shootings, and so much crime against every day people. Because of this, people continue to move to Ecuador to get away from the US violence and high cost of living. Manta was also just named top 25 by Trip Advisor for the Best Trending Destinations in the World for 2024! The issues we see are basically and usually bad guys going after bad guys, and we have seen that around Ecuador and yes in Manta as well, but mainly in the larger city of Guayaquil. Thankfully though the general public is rarely involved. We are certainly not seeing an exodus or anything like that as locals around Ecuador know and see the truth, and are not fearful of day to day living. Do we have crime? Of course we do, just like anywhere in the world, but our crime is usually simple crime of opportunity, and thankfully not hard violence. The new President has also done a fantastic job quelling the issues, has seen a large drop in the violence that was reported, and is already at over an 80% approval rating! As you can see, the real estate market is still going strong, and we continue to see more developers moving in to Manta and other parts of Ecuador, and continuing to build build beautiful new homes and condominiums! If there was a real issue in Manta they would not be investing 10's of millions of dollars in the area, so that is a good sign for the future! We invite everyone to come down to visit, speak with the local expats and Ecuadorians, and see for yourself what life is like here in our beautiful area!
