@@Azubjourni But the fact of the matter is he showed how dangerous the Quincies are, and he also did well in keeping Ichigo occupied which ultimately led to the successful invasion of the Soul Society.

No censorship , no fillers , fast pacing , great animation , this is a dream come true for me.
That entire scene of Sasakibe's funeral was so filled with emotion despite it being almost completely silent. I wish we could have got to see more of his character before he died he had such a cool design and power 😭
Small role, Big Impact
In the manga Yammato had a speech for him, I feel the silence was way better and impactful, they are adding things that was not in the manga as well, we are in for a treat at this rate
We didn't even get to see his Bankai.

Someone should close Ichigo's window an arrancar and Urahara just show up there lol. Ah this anime is so freaking good, It is improving on the manga a lot, it's kind of nostalgic seeing this animated, it brings me back to college when I began reading this arc weekly. The Quincy are evil as hell you'll see. Also it's pronounced schternrita, the ST/SP in German makes a sch/ch sound and words that end in ER are pronounce as A. Great reaction as always Jaimi you rock!!
They're spirits. They don't really need the window to enter. Rukia entered Ichigo's room through the wall in episode 1.

that lieutenant was Captain lvl but in respect for Yamamoto ,he refused to become Captain
he had one of strongest bankai and even Yamamoto was impressed after he gave that scar on forehead
For those who read the last Arc (after this one) you know what Yamamoto think during funeral on this episode. This is just the begining. 😉😊😊
I love the added invasion scene. If I’m correct, we didn’t get to see that in the manga.

Honestly, Quilge is pretty dang intimidating. The way he talks, you almost want to take him for a joke, but he definitely gets his job done. He was no pushover.
Episode 2 is good but episode 3 is going to be fire when it comes out

Not going to lie I used my vpn to watch it on Disney Plus because I got tired of the Hulu subtitles overlapping with the Japanese writing or it will overlap with someone else’s subtitle like the first episode.

It didn’t require Yamamoto he was close by and the only captain not already busy
The quincy king pretty much don't care about arrancars, so he killed both. But his treatment is a little better with quincies itself.

Sadly it happened what I was afraid of could happen with the current pacing. They cover right now 3-4 chapters (if not even 5) in one episode. And by doing so they also cut some scenes.
For example the funeral of Sasakibe Byakuya explained Renji that Sasakibe was actually strong like captain and mastered even his bankai long before Utatake and Kyouraku but never intended to become a captain himself. Since the founding auf the Gotei 13 he was always on the side of Yamamto and never took part in great battles in order to keep his status as vice-captian and aide of Yamamoto. He was in Byakuyas eyes the most loyal person in Soul Society. Which is why the lost of him would hurt Yamamto more than anyhing right now.
-That they keep this speech away from us in the anime kinda hurts I must say.
The other scene they cut was the battle of the tres bestias which showed in the manga a lot more comedic infighting between them before they attacked the Sternritter J.
The silence set the mood and was better for this case
Acctualy maybe they will rearange scenes to be in next episode like the scene in this episode where ishida coments that ichigo dont need help that scene should have been in first episode but they put it in seckond episode
They will probably put the speech on next episode or (what I personally wish for) when Yamamoto goes to fight the Quincy King.
This is just like how Ishida's comment about Ichigo was changed to this episode or how they changed the 2 newbies introduction.

Disappointed that the king is such a stereotypical bad guy who kills his subordinates for no reason
ehhh those are arrancars he doesn’t see them as beings at all only tools for war. The king is what I expected his behavior to be given what the Quincy were inspired from(WW2 Germany)
Uryu himself explained how Quincy see hollows they weren’t allies or subordinates they were blunt tools that had a purpose and completed it juha is literally one of the most complex villains that stretch even into the cant fear your own novels
You do realize that quincies’ biggest enemies are hollows and arrancars right? The king only sees them as cannon fodder.. nothing more nothing less.. exactly what you would expect from a king
U will acctualy see later why he is killing them why some events are foundation stone and why he asked question that he asked ludes its all related to his ability

I would expect them not to use the hollows as soldiers in the first place. They don’t need them and aside from the two who get killed in this episode they don’t have any others. So what was the point?

I don't think you have to put the episode number continuing from the OG Bleach anime bcs this is sort of a renewed version of Bleach and the TYBW arc from the manga itself.
