I have dumb question. If you're using the 1/4 inch out jacks to go direct with the cab sims, do you use a standard guitar cable or ? Thanks so much.. This thing really interests me because it would mean I could go direct with effects and such and this on a pedal board and just carry a pedal board and guitar to gigs.. Maybe a gig bag with two guitars for a back up and then a pedal board with this thing as the main sound of the amp and some other effects such as boost, compression, wah and delay and reverb going into this thing in front or the delay and reverb via the loop.. Thanks again.. Tim
Really looking forward to this pedal to complete my all-NUX pedal board haha --> Polytune 3 Tuner --> Masamune --> Fireman --> Ace of Tone --> Horseman --> Rivulet --> Atlantic --> (Amp Academy but currently a Tech21 Blonde) --> Solid Studio ---> USB Interface
@@ThePedalGuy looking forward to your review then for more detailed info on that. I would like to use the Solid Studio because of its power amp sim switch which I am not sure if it’s available on the Amp Academy at this point (or it’s even necessary) definitely looking forward your review and tutorials 🤞
The product page mentions being able to send MIDI instructions to the pedal. Take a look there. Looks like the software comes with it has a list of midi instructions.
@@ThePedalGuy It's a fair question. Just trying to get a feel for where it lies as the Iridium and Firebox sound very different. Does it have a reverb? The Editor at 2.00 shows one, but I don't see any controls on the box.
@@joebloggs4369 I agree that it’s a fair question. I don’t think it’s very polite to call it a knock off. Just saying that if you want help, maybe keep that in mind for future questions. I haven’t explored all of the secondary functions yet which NuX always includes with their pedals but yes it does include reverb.

Hi, yes a standard guitar cable should be fine. I prefer to use cabling with good shielding.

Nice. BTW the Amp Academy can be used as an audio interface

@@quiksilver78 you’re on the right path. The solid studio stands on its own. See you in a month 😉
I’ve been so impressed with NuX the past two years. The Atlantic is a FANTATIC delay/reverb. Very curious about Amp Academy!
Thanks. More to come
@@ThePedalGuy I would love to hear more about it as well sir..
@@hoosierdaddy2308 I did a full livestream demo a few months ago that will take you through it from start to finish.
i might get this. i assUme the headphone is dual mono? would da been cool if they put it through a dim D sim b4 the phones. like a rockman
Can’t freaking wait for this one!
Excellent. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed
I’m thinking to pair this with my HX Effects, can we use Amp Academy USB port to connect to HX Effects Midi?
Not 100% sure that will work. Still digging into the Amp Academy
@@ThePedalGuy let me know please! thank you

When you already own a MG-30, does it has different tones?
Not really. The effects are still the same ones you'll find in the MG-30.
@@ThePedalGuy So, as a MG-30 owner no need to get the Amp Academy pedal, right? ;-)
@@MarcoTorskyj Correct. Unless you have a need for a compact modeler pedal to round out a full pedalboard.
I love pedals & so do you!!
Lol
Not sure this is for me.
But buy it from this guy he’ll take good care of you!
😎
It’s pretty amazing. I’ll show you in a month.
Hi Pedal Guy, any bass rigs in this pedal?
Not yet.
@@ThePedalGuy okay, thanks! looks great anyway!
Hi Scott, when you get me one?
Should be out end of March
@@ThePedalGuy Thank you, let me know when you get it so I can order. I will send you email. Thank you!
Is it a Strymon Iridium or Atomic Amplifire Firebox knock off? Seems to do the same things, more or less.
Come on....
