    Thank you for posting this! I only needed to get the panel loose so I could eliminate a pigtail rattle inside the door. I was prepared with replacement panel clips, but only had to reseat two of them back in the panel.

    Helpful video, but would be nice if you indicated how to disconnect that electrical connector. I've been wrestling with mine for a half hour now.

    5 years old but still super helpful! Paul, did your F-TYPE originally have the 380W sound system and the speakers you put in are from the 770W system? I currently have the 770W system in my F-TYPE R, but believe there are higher grade speakers above the 770W setup as well? Thanks!

    Really frustrated with the meridian 380w speakers rattles and vibrations. Just wondering if I can pay you to do mine

    Hi Paul, I need to replace a wing mirror (not the glass) do I have to remove everything to get access?

    • @paulcalvert5425
      @paulcalvert5425  Год назад

      Unfortunately James, it you want to replace the door mirror, then the only way to get to the bolt securing it is by removing the door card.

    So I believe it's 7" low 3.5" mid and 1.5" tweeter

    • @paulcalvert5425
      @paulcalvert5425  3 года назад +2

      No it's 200mm low, 100mm high and 26mm tweeter. Thats approx 8" and 4" for the low and mid.

    Hello Paul, I do realize this was done quite some time ago and just have a quick question. On the back of the panel are there just torque screws holding the interior arm rest in place? I saw some silver colored torque screws on the rear of the panel in your video and was assuming they are holding the arm rest in place? I’m replacing my arm rest due to a scratch in the leather and was hoping it was a quick replacement once the door panel was removed. Thank you for your time.

      The door handle is attached to the panel, but I'm not sure how. The arm rest has two bolts through it that attach it to the door frame. But this doesn't release the arm rest from the panel. Not sure whether it is glued, screwed or welded to the panel.

    Great Video did Dynamatting the doors make a noticeable difference do you think, am considering doing this?

    • @paulcalvert5425
      @paulcalvert5425  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Ken, as with all the tweaks each helped. I would say Dynamatting the door card made the most difference rather than the door itself. Although this helped contributed to the overall effect. You can turn up the bass without suffering annoying vibration's.

      @@paulcalvert5425 Thanks for your response. The video didn't detail dynamatting the door card I dont think? Did you do the whole of the back of the card?

    • @paulcalvert5425
      @paulcalvert5425  5 лет назад +2

      @@charlieh2492 yes, it's quite a tricky job, as it is a bit like creating a mosiac in places. Not much opportunity for large strips.

    does the leather trim on the panel come off if you want to replace it?

    • @paulcalvert5425
      @paulcalvert5425  3 года назад

      Hi Gail, I did have a look at the panel, and I cant seen any easy way to replace the leather. there are lots of plastic welds, that make peeling out the existing leather a tough ask. Youd do better to find a replacement panel. Its not impossible, but not easy either.

    Do you mind sharing what are the make of the speakers you used and where did you get them?

    • @paulcalvert5425
      @paulcalvert5425  5 лет назад +2

      The replacements are Jaguar / landrover speakers. They are just the next model up. You can pick them up on ebay or new from a dealer. I will look out the part codes and post up. But the speaker are the same in Range rovers and Ranger rover sport cars, so plenty about. The biggest difference will come from the sub. The mid and tweeter swap out makes less difference.
