Great video, best part about all of this is you do this with your son, cherish all the moments, keep making the memories together.
From a father that lost his boy, memories are priceless.

Thank you, and very sorry for your loss. I do my best to involve my boys as much as I can in the hobby and I do cherish it.
I like that 2022 lego roller coaster set, and that was a cool placement for your roller coaster
This has got to be the coolest combo for an amusement park ever!
LOVE how the Monorail goes through the loop. Under no circumstance should you change that haha
Thank god finally someone who mentions this thing doesn't have an exit! I'll just see if I can add a second staircase where the ladybug is settled curently
I still like this coaster despite the overpricing of it. I would be curious to see if someone mods it to make the track longer and also mods it to give it an exit separate from the entrance.
We have accomplished that! It works, too. Three extra sets of cars, double the track, one more complete loop, VIP separate entrance. It works. On three extra large Grey baseplate s. New name," Loop De Loop"!
The price of this set modded my parents relation ship to make my mom separate from my dad
Tbh it might seem overpriced but its not really i dont regret buying it at all but its not for everyone its 36 inches by 34 inches making it a massive set
I ordered this set and I’m going to make an exit platform with stairs the exit the ride to make it more realistic
That looks great especially with the train! Perfect placement 😊
Well done Jimmy 😂 👏👍
Nice work! You just increased your Loop Coaster's excitement rating by running the Airport Shuttle through it.
I Love how part of the way thru Jimmy disappears and Ironman just starts hanging out in the background.
That Loop Coaster / monorail combination is incredible! I absolutely love that! The set looks amazing, and the scale in context of the entire city and room definitely shows how imposing it is. Wow!
7:55 Fun fact: The whole track of the coaster spells 'Loop' when completed.
Impressive. I didn't notice it!
Reminds me of Montezoomas revenge at Knotts
I love that ride!
"Who rides a rollercoaster with a hotdog, especially one that goes upside down."
Not a hotdog, but I remember that in my 20's I had lunch (sandwiches, drinks) inside a rollercoaster that goes upside down. No hotdog though.
They should have added something to slow the descent of the lift. The haunted house from a couple years ago has a simple flywheel mechanism that would work well here.
Yer Manny have seed that. Or it need rubber Lego parts under that part that drops. To take away the crashing bang sound ....
@@countrabricksbuildcraze8916 tires on the bottom make a difference. I used small airplane tires.
I thought the same when I built it but I added more weight to the counterweight and it seems to have worked.
@@robertsullivan3877 😊👍 yes thats it
Very nice setup with the train
Fantastic 👊👁👁👍 you showed us the Loopcoaster this way. Great close ups 📸. Very nice details and minifigures in this set. And that train driving through the loopcircle .So close 😱. And Jimmy did a good job, helping you
Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks for posting this.
If you like the idea of building your own lego roller coaster and don't care about "offical" stuff, i recommend CDX Blocks
This set is amazing with cool functions.
The set should be $350, and the track is kinda short. Otherwise not really any complaints.
There's some storytelling with the squirrel and hot dog and the no squirrels and no hot dog signs. Maybe the squirrel is a flying squirrel and that's how it got in the picture?
Combining the loop coaster with the airport shuttle makes it even more exciting. That gap is very small, and I would not feel safe on there. 😄
Agree on the price, it's $600 AUD which does feel slightly overpriced and should be $500 AUD which was the same as the last one because of inflation since 2018.
@@BinkBricks Wow, looking at these prices it's crazy. I think it might be the additional taxes and currency strength for different countries. Like in Singapore where i am located, i just bought this set last night for $398 bucks. Waiting for it to arrive! Awesome guys.
Wait, Lego prices are going up even higher? Huh... Well, I guess I'll be getting my Lego by deal hunting for second hand stuff. Not that it changes much: most Lego sets seem to be way out of my range already.
That is pretty cool though, that the loop goes right around the shuttle track. I like that. :D
That airport shuttle/monorail makes me drool. What I wouldn’t give for that. I had the two space monorails back in the 90s - the Futuron and Unitron… but my mom gave them away 😢
Great video! Love the Airport Shuttle going through the loop. Like it was meant to be!
Incredible! Great placement.
My thought about that loud crash of the lift, either add a bit more counter weight, or change something about the landing spot my initial thought is if you can pull out a thin brick worth of material (or more) you could put in a piece of foam or some double sided foam tape that might lessen that impact. The later idea not sure if that's "kosher" for lego builds to put in non-lego stuff
You could also use the rubber technic pieces.
The extra weight on the counterweight worked for me. It's not just the crashing into the car loading area that there's a problem. The counterweight actually keeps crashing into the top of the structure and ends up breaking it apart over time. It's a poor design for the price.
2 generations of lego going through the amusement park. Love it. I am thinking of reworking my amusement park today or soon if I get time since I just can't settle on a size.
Very cool! I love the shuttle going through
How cool, with the Airport train going through the loop!!
Big fan of this coaster but the placement of yours is epic!
I love your reviews and this one was no exception. I love how you show the set in your city and make everything look so cool. However I'm not sure if I would want to be on that roller coaster in your city especially with that airport shuttle.
Amazing setup
Hay alix nice beat I was bopping and breakdancing to the beat doing loop s as you build the set 🤩😆😂✋👌🤏👈✋👈👌🤏✋👍
Wow the monorail through the loop is amazing
I love this set
Looks great! Reminds me of something you'd do in Rollercoaster Tycoon!
Love it when the youngest watches hes always so stoked to help out his dad.
Bravo cette vidéo est un incroyable 👍👍
I had a lot of issues trying to get mine to run consistently with a motor, between it either getting caught entering or leaving the elevator. Basically all stemming from inconsistency in how long it takes the elevator to drop back down. Sometimes it's too slow, sometimes it's just right, sometimes it's too fast and bounces on the bottom, causing the train to get stabbed by the spike that is supposed to keep it in the station. Also had problems with the bottom gear slipping on the chain, but I took out a chain link and that's now perfect. Eventually I guess it has just fixed itself and works pretty smoothly on the motor, but there's still a constant risk of catastrophic failure when sometime does get stuck or even lightly graze another piece.
Definitly a cool set! The good side is that a discount of just 10% means saving 40€. Guess, I would wait a while - must difficult for me would be finding a space for such a large set.
I also got the coaster and I noticed that the two supports (not the lift) on the side of the station are one stud further away from the station than the other two.
Looks great I have ordered one I’m excited to build it
Great video! Mine comes on Tuesday and I’m considering putting my monorail through it as well. We’ll see. I agree that the price is a little high for what you get. I think the cost is result of the impending price hike. Too bad they didn’t sell it at $350 now and increase it to $400 in September.
Nice set Alex
I love it...just too dang big!
Very nice
Expensive but worth having it... 🔥🔥🔥
It looks nice. You can always add exit to roller coaster
I think the Lopp Coaster Price was a victim of the price hike right before it released
Yeah I believe it was as well. Rumors was this set number were going to be $350 USD. The $50 price bump seems in line with the increases for the bigger sets. Absolutely not cool in my opinion. $50 is too much of an increase for this set.
The vertical lift system has the potential to be made into a large drop tower ride, waiting for someone to do a MOC of it.
Super cool review, you showed a couple of things I was thinking about. Its so fast that it probably needs to be extended. Wonder if there is away to combine the two roller coaster sets into one?
It looks like the TV monitor in the station on the far left is upside down. The phone on it has the selfie cam and ear speaker on the bottom.
haha, yes it is. Good catch
@@alexnunes looks great! Love all the progress on the city. Would love to see a gymnastics gym there as that’s my second home.
Nice
4:23 you put your very left monitor sticker (the one with the phone) upside down, just so you know ;)
Great vid for the rest, I love how it goes through the loops
Hey Alex, thank you so much for testing with the airport shuttle. I wasn’t sure if it would fit when I made the suggestion a few weeks ago, but it looks so cool 👍👍
Would any extra weight on the counterbalance help to soften the blow?
yes but it will slow down the return if your using a motor..
Alex, you may not realize that you just solved the mystery that The Cool Factor, Mike, was talking about in LEGO's promo trailer video of the Loop Coaster. The promo trailer had an editing error and now we know why based on you showing how the roller coaster got stuck upside down in the first loop.
That’s pretty slick. I love up. If safety guys disapproves. Get another safety guy.
I think you might have made a mistake with the braking wheel (just before the station); if the crank isn’t being turned when the train hits that wheel, it’s supposed to stop the train right there and keep it from going into the station. Yours doesn’t seem to be doing that function. I loved the time lapse, though… it took me 4 nights to build mine, but I was in no hurry. 😀
Very cool with how it lines up with the monorail! Poor Garmadon is probably not allowed on the coaster, lol.
Despite the pricing, I like how they included extra straight track for the counterweight and curved tracks for the roof. I imagine this could be rebuilt with endless possibilities using the extra track pieces.
Love ❤️ you new profile pic!
While the new Lego rollercoaster stuff, and this in particular is quite good, the old K'nex tube track rollercoasters still hold the gold for construcible toy rollercoasters. This definitely proves to be a contender for the silver alongside the K'nex wire track rollercoaster, possibly beating it out with the lack of good car design on K'nex's side. Interestingly, though K'nex, even while OOP, beats this on cost, it cannot compare on compactness, which may make the difference in many people's eyes.
I've watched loads of videos on this coaster and none of ones I watched had the lift crash down like that
ah, so there may be an issue with how we built it then. Thanks!
@@alexnunes could be a gear piece slipping
Something to consider, if you buy two of these new Rollercoaster sets and use the track from the second set, and the cars, you can get more exciting drama. Also use three Grey full size baseplates.
and who want to spend 800$ on 2 of this set ? Here in Canada, it's 500$ CAD, that's 1000$
@@danielsala81 probably just depends on the challenge. Imagine owning a Lamborghini and adding extra features....you get what you pay for!
@@robertsullivan3877 this set doesn't worth 400$ US/500$ CAD, I bought the other rollercoaster for way cheaper and has almost 400 more pieces than this one. The Assembly Square cost 340$ CAD and has 4002 pieces. When Costco Wholesale will have this set cheaper, maybe I will get, I got the 2017 Creator Expert Carousel from them for 178$ instead of 249$ or even the Mack Anthem Technic truck for 145$ instead of 230$ 3-4 years ago.
@@danielsala81 use your VIP points from lego,if you want to save more money, but no one is forcing you to buy this set. The other option is Bricks and pieces, that way you only buy what you need.
@@robertsullivan3877 i know i can use my vip points, but the amount you get by buying sets is not that much. I used once 100$ worth of points, but i had to spend 4-5 sets of 200$+ in order to get them (1000$ of lego for 100$ saved).
Thers a rubber 😊Lego part you could get a few of them an put onto a tectonic beam to stop the banging sound as the lift hit the bottom. Alix.
LBP hahaha. Now I cant unsee it
Put the counter weight a little higher on the track and adjust the height of it until it’s the most quiet and add black plates to the counterweight to make I
It more balances
im so suprised how fast you grew i was a fan before 1k
Wow, thanks for following me for so long. It has been quite the ride.
That's a pretty hard carriage return. There should be some wheels or rubber stops to soften the impact.
what about using a rubber bumper for the downfall. the bumpers for like kitchen cabinets?? Also great to see Jimmy ( the Explorer ) & Josh ( the Master Junior ) helping out..👍👍👏👏
Great video, as usual! I added bricks to the counterweight to soften that drop. It's a poor design, ends up breaking the coaster apart over not many use cycles. I think Mark and Boon's coaster was actually better!
what chains or mechanisms that the free fall haunted house has would you be able to integrate that into this coaster just a thought if you haven't done this yet awesome set will be getting it myself and thank you for your video very much enjoyed again thanks. later
You need to add some extra weight to the drop weight otherwise with it banging at the top it will loosen the mechanism at the top. Also better off with 221 not 222 small chain links.
Great review and placement. Looks like your first TV monitor sticker is upside down (the one with the phone/photos with the check-mark).
We have a roller coaster at our local amusement park where the sky lift passes through the loop de loop.
The counterweight is also there so the track doesn't fall as fast so be grateful because without that counterweight, that thing would shatter on impact when it comes down.
I'm with Alex that I would be a tad concerned about the thud when it drops. If possible you either have to add more weight to the counter-weight or place some thin foam padding underneath where the lift-track piece lands.
8:00 my little brother is learning the alphabet and he asked me why it said LBP 😂
Ah, I am not the only one!
Maybe put some small springs from something where the loading area hits the ground so it doesn't hit as hard
I have couple of complaints about the set, 1 THE PRICE 2 like you said, no exit platform, and something i dislike is that there isint a switch track like the old 2018 model
It's expensive yes, but my real problem is space!
Are you going to add an exit ramp when you set it up in your city?
Way to go Lego for that price they should include the motor function I.nice review
Maybe those rubber axle connectors to cushion the fall.
I wish Lego would make models of real coasters
Good afternoon! In this video, we really liked how you automated the manual roller coaster. Please tell me with what and how this is possible, I will be very grateful. Thank you!
In this video I am using an old technic motor and a 9v train speed regulator. It's not a common combination. A more popular method would be to use Power Functions. All you need is a motor and battery box. Hope that helps.
03:32 He looks like Steven Hyde in That '70s Show.
I feel like you'd have to use part number 45590 to soften it, but I don't know how much room you have beneath.
Looks fantastic! I'm visiting Salt Lake City in a couple of months, any must stop LEGO shops to hit up in the area??
Other than the LEGO Store, we have a few Brick & Minfigs shops that are always worth a look.
Question. How do you clean all of your lego sets? Also how do you keep them organised if you do have a large table to put them on. Because I have so many lego sets and they need to be cleaned and organised!!
I dust them regularly. There's no easy way around it. Brushes, vacuums, and dusters all work well. I am not sure what you mean by organized. It is always a challenge to fit everything, but that's also part of the fun for me.
I added 12g to the counter weight. This is equivalent to a single AAA battery (which is how I tested it). I then added lego bricks of 12g. The result is a very slow smooth decent. So much better
Nice, thanks for that information. Very helpful.
Could you make a video where the counterweight is made heavier?
I think they could've put some rubber tires on the bottom to dampen the impact
Love the over all look of Loop Coaster but here in Australia it costs $599.99
If scaled up to human size, has anyone worked out how many Gs a passenger would experience?
Can the fall be damped with some flexible rubber parts?
Have you tried adding more weight to the counter weight to see if that helps the elevator drop slower?
Not yet, but I may need to give that a try. Thanks.
That's exactly what I did. I tried a few things but the extra weight worked. Without it, the counterweight was crashing into the top structure and breaking the coaster apart.
Can you please activate every single motor powered area
Once I get this all back together I will definitely do that.
reminds me of the fall from total recall
also i like how the track loop encircles the monorail track - it looks like a gate to the amusement park area for the train
I cut 2 LEGO rubber tires 🛞 and I used peal able glue gun glue and it coachen the fall of the LEGO crash sound it works great for me
This is a late comment but I’m quite young and saved up enough money for this for my Lego city would you recommend this
It looks like the 7 loop death coaster to me
Is there an led lighting kit for the Lego Loop?
I believe there is. There will likely be several available for it soon if not already.
