Disregard my other comment!!! rewatched the video a few times and noticed where my hangup might be. I reassembled it for a dry bench test without bolting the planetary to the front half of the case. I also need to watch the shift fork rod come all the way iup. Not only that, youre the ONLY person to show a bench test shifting through all gears. IM officially subscribing to you.
With the new drive for speedo, you can still change the speed gear for your tire size so the speedo works properly, great video, love that you are putting out great content, keep up the great work.
given how difficult it was to remove the yokes/yolks off mine, I'd say no since you apply RTV to the splines. And the rest of the bolts are never under tension, simply helping the RTV on the case halves do their job. (Here I am Validating myself knowing i didnt use any..... lmfao)
No one will see this, but after rebuilding mine with an SYE, it worked great until the smaller fork that holds the shift hub (not the collar with the big mode fork) wore out it's pads. I took everything apart. Now when I reassemble the case, doing a dry bench test without RTV, it will shift through all posisitions (2WD, 4Hi, N, 4L.) However, In 2WD, both the rear and front output shafts rotate with eachother. Essentially 4Hi. Cannot find the culprit besides maybe some tolerance with snap rings or faulty shift selector.... HELP

Great detail. Thanks for the vid. It helped a lot!
Excellent install breakdown.
Whether I ever do a SYE or not, it is interesting to see the inner workings of the transfer case. Thanks for posting this.
I laughed way too often watching this video I even forgot I was learning stuff.
Great video, thank you for posting.

Excellent video! Thanks
Thanks for great video, 👍
Great Video, got a question, I have play in the yoke after this install “in and out” looks like the nut won’t tighten all the way, is that normal?

Thanks, man. Great vid. I'm about to do the JB Adapter on my '06 TJ in the next week or two.
Awesome footage! Do you ever get XJ's in the shop?
I don't see too many XJs.
You ever use threadlock on stuff? Just asking. You are a good teacher.
