In this video I will take you through the step by step process of assembling your new xTool D1 Pro laser including the unboxing, using the free Create Space software, and making a small item. I was very impressed by how fast this 20 watt diode laser cut and would compare it to a co2 laser. If you haven't purchase an xTool laser yet, I would really appreciate you using my including links. This really helps support my channel. Thanks!

Great Video! I bought the 20 watt along with the extensions probably 7 or 8 months ago, still haven't gotten around to getting it going. I did finally put it together about three months ago. I'm going to try to get it running next week. Your video makes it look pretty easy!

Hello, this xtool laser is really easy to use. The software makes it simple to get started with the basics right away. Have fun!

@@chaddiy3512LOL, right now I can't even figure out how to home the thing🙂 My CNC has a home all axis that moves the spindle to the home position. Can't find anything like that here.
Edit: Apparently the big round button "sets" home. Not sure how you can ever have a consistent home this way.
Right now I'm trying to print a pattern on black anodized aluminum. The pattern on the screen is there when the mouse hovers over it but goes to solid black otherwise. It isn't printing anything, I tried it on some of the sample wood that came with it and it's just making a black surface like is seen on the screen when the mouse isn't hovering over it. I'm going to need to do some studying to get this thing working I think.

Thanks for the video. Just got my D1 pro yesterday. Set up was easy but making things looks daunting. I assume it is all trial and error as far as getting the settings you need? Use scrap wood until you are ready?

Hello, yes...scrap wood is a good idea until you get things figure out. Xtools website has great info where you can search for materials you are using and match it up to your machine, and it will give you the recommended settings.

So I have a couple of questions about using this how easy is it to figure out as far as where to put the product your working on for example to left middle top bottom etc and also for example doing one item vs 5 also it is harder to small items such as dog tags on this I'm asking about this because I saw a video where a big project shifted because it was going to fast thanks

Hello, My opinion is this is the easiest diode laser to line things up because it shines a laser beam down on your material so you know exactly where it is going to start. When doing multiple items, it is a good idea to create a jig first. That way you can repeat the process time after time without anything changing.

@chaddiy3512 ok thanks for the info I was wondering because my girlfriend has a cricut and I know you have to make sure you have the vinyl in thetop right spot and basically copy and paste design to fill up whole page so that's why I was asking BTW do you have any videos on making a jig yet just haven't had a chance to check out all your videos but definitely plan to also have you done any dog/pet tags? Thanks for help
