Ashes 2009, years late, was developed 100% internally at IR Gurus/Transmission, Big Ant Studios supplied some programmers to help them out. Transmission wound up, became TrickStar Game, much of the talent left for greener pastures. A patch was made for 2009 and it was released as the full game 2010. The rights to the code and art remained with Codemasters. TrickStar decided to develop Ashes 2013 using Unity, yeah they said they created an engine from scratch, but that was bogus as you all now know. 505 paid an incredible amount for the license, an incredible amount for the development, everyone got sold down the river except the management of TrickStar who are now planning fantastic holidays around the world, First Class I hear. It was a "swindle"... and all that was lost was Cricket gaming's dignity and Australian game developers reputation.
I think big ant can do better but the pace is really slow regarding some error with basic stuff. At the same time they are giving efforts to improve the game with patch. But their price and how the bugs are ,it's like ubisoft in hindsight.

Ea cricket 2004 still best in my opinion. the feel in game is whole new level it today. i have copy of cricket 24. gameplay is robotic iam feeling bad to be honest.if ea makes new cricket game. The whole cricket gaming market will shake. but they should to base gameplay as cricket 2004

Wcc and wcc2 were my favourite childhood cricket games. However, Real Cricket has totally outshined wcc since its release. I do play cricket 19 and cricket 22 too but I prefer playing rc24. Oh and one more thing, I didn't feel like buying cricket 24. I expected huge gameplay improvements from 22 but I'm disappointed.
EA’s main consumers are on consoles and PC. The mobile versions of EA’s sports games have always been a stripped down version with limited features compared to pc and console and for a good reason. There is a limit to mobile phone hardware capacity

They abandoned cricket fans for money and profit when we badly needed cricket game from 2007 to 2014...even they come back it will be only to cash in on profitability of IPL... Big Ant made cricket game out of pure love for the cricket when they were not expecting any success and profit...

Maybe you didnt really get what I was implying. I am heavily against Ultimate Team and Micro transactions. It was mentioned as a negative not something “I want”, but something that is inevitable. Been playing fifa and pes since 2002 and the master league by PES was one of the best sports mode ever. Fifa was never known for their great gameplay but right now PES has gone downhill and EA FC is the only game left to be compared with. Cant really bring Konami’s manager mode here as they don’t really have a history in cricket gaming
@@RahulRants my takeaway was that there is a belief, as there has been for years, that if only EA made a cricket game it would be great and yet every year FIFA/EAFC, Madden, NHL players continue to lament the continuing poor quality of the games. Career modes getting no attention, features being added, removed then added back as “brand new” features, broken gameplay. All of EAs efforts go into one thing - how can we get more people to play anything related to microtransactions. The days of thinking EA are the saviour to all problems in video games is gone. I’d love to say we should throw our all our support behind BA as they do give some level of care about niche games like cricket, AFL, rugby but how can you do that when they release have cooked games and premium prices and Ross Symons continues to treat his customers like crap?

There is not much scope in Cricket. Only few countries play + countries which play wont spend money at all & not mature enough for games like these + Cricket is dying on global stage.
No of countries is not the real issue. EA also makes NHL which id only played in USA and Canada. It is the lack of sales as most of the subcontinent fans of Cricket don’t really buy the game which hurts them a lot!
