    Definitely went out and picked one up after watching this review and I love it!! Such a comfortable and good looking jacket, and the amount of time it takes to warm up is incredible. Thanks for the informative review!!

    Regarding the zipper:
    1. The zipper slide is on the standard side for most parts of the world IE - Europe, New Zealand, Australia, etc. (Bosch is German as I recall)
    2. In the USA for whatever reason the zipper slide is moved to the opposite side, to further confuse the issue in women clothing in the USA the zipper slide is like the rest of the world.
    Go figure...
    Since the video how has the jacket held up?
    Excellent work BTW on all your reviews.

    Not being machine washable is a big negative for me. I want to wash it just like I'd wash anything else. Charging your cell phone is something that us really nice. Does Germany drive on the opposite side of the road? Maybe that's why they put the zipper on the other side. Idk. Great video. I would still love to get some heated pants.

      Love2boat92 Yeah the zipper threw me off initially also....now I am used to it. Because it doesnt pick up dog hair/lint/etc, I dont see myself needing to wash this often.....I have been using it daily for 2+ weeks & have not gotten it dirty at all. If you were in a different daily environment though, I do see your point. Lets hope this heated gear craze continues to expand! Pretty soon we will all need to wheel around car batteries with us to power everything ;) haha

    • @Lanninglongarmmowing
      @Lanninglongarmmowing 9 лет назад

      Real Tool Reviews yeah if you're careful you won't have to wash it a lot. I really hope it expands to heated gloves, shoes, hats and the pants. Lol. Hopefully the car battery doesn't happen lol.

      In England the zipper is on that side too. I believe its a European thing. Makes sense to zio with your right seeing as most people are right handed ;-)

      Gold63Beast Keep an eye out at the end-of-season or when they run more sales....I am sure you can get one near that amount. Keep in mind it is coming with a charger, battery, and adapter....in addition to the jacket.

    So if the average human body temp is about 98 deg. doesn't this thing need to get to at least 99 deg until you feel some heat? Maybe it just helps to slow heat loss in the heated zones like a regular but bulkier jacket does for your whole body I cant say I've ever been working outside and said to myself jeez I'm really cold particularly my nipples, typically i just say its minus 35 deg. C this sucks. I find that these jackets make specific areas feel warmer but because the rest of the jacket remains cold like the arms and sides they don't warm your whole body up if anything it just focuses your attention to the un-heated areas.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  8 лет назад +2

      Your internal temp is 98 degrees.....if the jacket temp is higher than the ambient air temp, it will feel warmer. Think about walking outside when its 40 degrees & then walking out when it is 70 degrees.....the 70 degrees is much lower than you internal temp, but will feel warm VS the 40 degree cold.

    curious, why can't it at least be machine washed like the Milwaukee? in my line of work, that jacket would get dirty very easily.
    I just bought a Milwaukee and after two days I'm taking it back, its not snug enough to feel the heat and overall too big for me (size m here I'm 5'10" @ 181lb)
    and what about the battery, is it like Milwaukee and can be used accross the array of tools Bosch makes? (that would be steller!)
    PS, you mentioned extended battery, is there a larger battery that will allow more operation time?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  8 лет назад +1

      +Porsche Duésnburg I assume the connections inside are not as resistant to moisture as the Milwaukee versions. As far as cross-compatibility of the batteries, the only ones that will work in the bosch jackets are bosch batteries.....Milwaukee will work off of any of them that have the correct plug. The extended battery would be the high capacity 4.0ah 12v version....it is bigger, but will last twice as long.

      +Real Tool Reviews awesome, thanks for the reply! so considering this jacket is a year old now, maybe Bosch will revise it to not be so fragile! it'd also be nice if the battery could be used throughout Bosch's lineup of power tools too.
      about how long does the extended pack grant you woth it on high heat?
      also, might you know of alternatives? that can be machine washed, has heat on the arms and a connector for gloves?

    For the life of me I can't figure out why they would put the zipper on the wrong side. It's set up for a woman with the zipper being placed on the left side. I agree, a removable hood would be nice. Great review.
