Annelise Zeender because I don't get why he couldn't at least visit his mother. She will never get to see her child again. I'm grown too but I still go see my family. It's been years since then so I'm over it but that part made me mad at the end. I just didn't understand why they had to choose. Why couldn't they be both. They are both. I was a lot like ame too. That's probably why it got to me that the characters felt like they had to choose one.
shygirl2927 well, he still lets Hana know that he's alright, by howling every so often. That might be his way of visiting her. He does have an entire forest to take care of.
This was really great. Certainly one of the best review of Wolf Children reviews/recommendations on RUclips. Your points and thoughts are crystal clear here and it just shows your continuing improvement.
Your articulation is always spot on Eric, I've sat through 5 of these Wolf Children reviews now and yet this somehow felt kind of refreshing. I think its a combo of good music choice and quality narrative.
I really liked wolf children. I watched it because it was said to be one of the saddest anime of all time but I didn't find it sad. I found it uplifting and sweet
Dude this review is great. Looks like you put in tons of effort into your script and editing as well. Wolf Children was undeniably a great movie, probably my favorite anime movie to this day.
I cried the first time I watched it. Today, I watched it again, after four years. It's still the most beautiful movie I've ever watched, with only Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away. They rank second and third. :) The animation and artwork in all three are absolutely captivating and bring out the best of themselves, such and the characters and locations. Hence, why I would watch films animated this way over any other film. ^w^
I know this is 5 years late but I though I was being over dramatic after crying during this movie but after seeing many comments saying they did aswell means the movie really is a masterpiece.
I love it when a movie or show does not fill every waking moment with speech or music. Sometimes like you said, simple ambient noise is all that is needed.
The movie was sad and made me cry ;( Also i like this types of videos unlike the other videos like EVERYTHING WRONG WITH WOLF CHILDREN they say "oh how can yuki talk to that wolf? Plus one sin!!!" Im not saying they say that but its just an example
allow me to say why you might like it in my own words: Because its beautiful and has such feels that one must watch it to understand the sheer beauty of this film
I've watched this film twice now and every time it feels like I can relate to Ame and the struggles he goes through trying to figure out who he is and where he belongs.
I went back to go through wolf children stuff since I watched that as a kid and absolutely loved it. Turns out itʻs quality aged well and this you wouldnʻt be able to tell this video was from 2014 itʻs actually so good.
Every scores in this movie send chills from my face to my spine. They just truly truly capture the essence of beauty. I want " Hoshi Boshi no Hara" to played at my wedding as my bride walking down the aisle. I will stand there at the alter totally enchanted and spell-binded of the sight of her. Just like Hana see wolf-men for the first time
He isn't a warewolf actually :/ He is a wolf-human Warewolfs don't exactly look like wolves and can only turn durring full moon while he could do it any time and hi didn't turn into a monster but into an actuall animal -wolf ^^
Honestly i saw an AMV of this and it reminded me of the animation of summer wars so decided to watch it. Made me cry... Made me really cry... Im very emotional when it comes to deaths in the family and the struggle to keep moving foward with a smile on your face
I didn't know that Mamurou Hosoda directed so many of my favorite movies. Kudos for pointing that out to me (I know it's a little late, but hey you earned yourself a subscriber.)
I saw this movie over the weekend and I cried at the ending. I feel so bad for the mom. She lost her husband and had to let her youngest child go. Ame's decision to leave his human life behind him to fully embrace his wolf side almost made me hate him. He could have at least discussed it with the whole family, instead of just walking out in the poring rain and having his worried mother chase after him.
Man....I really...really....love this movie I decided to watch it with my brother, and gotta say, we both enjoyed like no other film In fact, this inspires me every time I try to create something with a feeling of motherhood and parents ( I roleplay, and mostly like to write when I have inspiration )
this was an excellent review, and I have seen this film, and I love it, true, it is not insanely exciting... like many other stories, but, for what it is, Wolf Children is an amazing film.
I remember seeing the trailer and begging my dad to get the dvd, I waited months and months and then what do I see has my birthday present, it was Wolf Children and I was so glad I was able to watch it.
This is so not cheesy! This has been on my list of anime movies to watch. I loved Summer Wars, I have to see this. I think I’m going to need a lot of tissues though.
Ok I watched Usagi drop. That was great. Recent watched Wolf Children... Now pardon my language but it was fuc*ing amazing. I need more anime like these... They make me amazed and that it's beautiful. Music is so fitting. I could go on foreverrrrr
Time to go to the next level Me: what do u mean? Music plays Me: what??? Wolf man go in Me: ok........ Wolf man go down with her Me: OK OK I KNOW WHAT U MEAN
This reminds of the story of Angua von Uberwald and Carrot Infoundersson from Discworld. A dude and his werewolf girlfriend, together, THEY FIGHT CRIME. Is this what *SPICE AND WOLF SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER* will look like?
Where can I got this movie because I looked everywhere and they didn't have it not even Barnes and Nobles I thought they had everything but I was wrong so can you guys tell me where can I got this movie at please.
This movie makes me want to go door-to-door with some food and money to give to struggling families raised by single mothers. I don't care if the door slams in my face.
Wolf Children was really good-it shows how Hana struggles with her kids and the lose of her husband, how Yuki grows from a troublemaker into a Junior high student, how Ame grows from the scared, closed-off child into a werewolf who finds his place...
yeah it sort would be great to be like yuki or ame, although it really depends how you wish to live your life when as a wolf/human (i just don't like the idea of saying werewolf), would you move just how Hana did to not express this hidden ability or would be more open?(yet only with a selected amount of ppl)
"You might not cry your eyes out..." LIES.
Truth.
i was fine. i really hated the ending though. i think it's alright now though. i was just mad at ame.
Why are you mad at Ame?
Annelise Zeender because I don't get why he couldn't at least visit his mother. She will never get to see her child again. I'm grown too but I still go see my family. It's been years since then so I'm over it but that part made me mad at the end. I just didn't understand why they had to choose. Why couldn't they be both. They are both. I was a lot like ame too. "you might not cry, or think its the best film ever"
y-yeah totally *wipes tears and stops screaming about how awesome this film is* >_> Totally.
this video made me cry again lol
I’m a mom and this movie hit me hard, it shows the real struggles of being a Mom it’s honestly my favorite movie
I watched the film and I got one thing to say: Whoa! The emotions of the characters were like striking my heart like a knife
+Ricardo Sousa Pretty accurate
I cried during this flim.

This was really great. Certainly one of the best review of Wolf Children reviews/recommendations on RUclips. Your points and thoughts are crystal clear here and it just shows your continuing improvement.
And i'll keep trying to get better
"You may not cry your eyes out-" BOI YOU'RE SO WRONG I CRIED SO HARD WHEN I WATCHED THIS MOVIE LIKE 2 YEARS AGO AND IM CRYING RIGHT NOW REMEMBERING IT
This review isn't cheesy, Eric! Don't say that! Your thoughts are very cleverly conveyed and is very easy to listen to, great job! :3
I cried so hard during this film. And then when I was done and closed the tab, I started crying again.
I did cry my eyes out...

As a young mother this movie moved me so much and i cried a lot. I was able to feel and understand both sides as daughter and mother.

I can't describe how nailed this review is...
I do think this is the greatest movie ever ❤️ and I did have to hold back tears so many times! 😭
I've watched this film twice now and every time it feels like I can relate to Ame and the struggles he goes through trying to figure out who he is and where he belongs.

Uhhh, what definition of "werewolf" are you using thats so precise? Like every piece of fiction that includes werewolves has a different system.....
I forgot it was 13 years. I can’t even imagine how lonely Hana felt regarding her husband (boyfriend? I’m not sure if they got married).
Nice review man :)
I loved watching Wolf Children :3

"-and sometimes to relatively insulting degrees."
*cropped image of Taylor Lautner slides in before I feel like I'm about to die of laughter*
Honestly i saw an AMV of this and it reminded me of the animation of summer wars so decided to watch it. Made me cry... Made me really cry... Im very emotional when it comes to deaths in the family and the struggle to keep moving foward with a smile on your face

ahmed was SO PRECIOUS!!!! when yuki shredded that lil boy's ear and was crying in the car, i was bawling my eyes out.
This is a great summary of the movie with a hint of laughter. Thanks! 👍☺️

Amazingly detail review as always.
Always quality over quantity.
Am I the only one that ended up really disliking the younger brother at the end and just feeling really bad for the mother?
Le Dnak Mem no I just finished watching this movie and I really felt bad for the mother 😢😔 plus I don’t think Ame will never visit his mother again.
I love this movie?!?!!!
Edit I don't know why I put ? But it won't let me remove them so ya...

If I am to say anything, the ending makes me sad, yet oh so very satisfied.

Time to go to the next level

Love this film so much
I wouldn't call it a "Family Movie", because...
You know...
2:38
Wait, it is *for* families or *about* a family?
This reminds of the story of Angua von Uberwald and Carrot Infoundersson from Discworld. A dude and his werewolf girlfriend, together, THEY FIGHT CRIME.
Is this what *SPICE AND WOLF SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER* will look like?
Where can I got this movie because I looked everywhere and they didn't have it not even Barnes and Nobles I thought they had everything but I was wrong so can you guys tell me where can I got this movie at please.
Elicia Alonzo you can get it on amazon for less the $20

This movie makes me want to go door-to-door with some food and money to give to struggling families raised by single mothers. I don't care if the door slams in my face.

Wolf Children was really good-it shows how Hana struggles with her kids and the lose of her husband, how Yuki grows from a troublemaker into a Junior high student, how Ame grows from the scared, closed-off child into a werewolf who finds his place...
I really want to watch it but I'm afraid to because I'm already crying watching clips of it and I really don't want to cry for almost two hours😭.
Where can I find a full version of this in a English dub send me a link please if you can find it
yeah it sort would be great to be like yuki or ame, although it really depends how you wish to live your life when as a wolf/human (i just don't like the idea of saying werewolf), would you move just how Hana did to not express this hidden ability or would be more open?(yet only with a selected amount of ppl)
