My piano arrangements of Coldplay - The Scientist before (2006) and after (2020).
14 years ago, I learnt Coldplay’s The Scientist on piano. It was the first song I tried learning by ear.
This song holds an even deeper meaning to me now, as I’ve since become a scientist myself - I’m a chemist.
The Scientist was also the first piano cover I ever uploaded on my RUclips channel. It has since been put on private, but I think this is a nice time to take a clip of it out of the vault and compare how differently I play this song 14 years later.
Hope you all enjoy this video as much as I did making it. A little trip down memory lane for me…

this piano arrangement is by far the closest among youtube to the original song when it comes to melody, vibes and a lot more

Because she's using the real chords - as seen in the intro. If you watch people play it on Chris Martin's real piano (Kawai Mp9000) on RUclips, you'll feel instant nostalgia.

A beautiful acoustic composition meets a heartfelt visual composition.
It’s literally one of my favorite songs of all time…it’s extremely emotional and moving for me.

Wow... electric keyboards have come such a long way (it still sounded good on an acoustic back in 2006). Audio quality sampling on video uploads have come a long way. And your playing is magnificent as always!
