The main difference is aquaphor is water based and Vaseline is oil based. Same basic principles but some differences in usage.

I thought they were both just white petroleum but aquaphor has lanolin?
my tattoo artist told me he was okay with me using aquarphor but not okay with me using vaseline
@@ev3433 aquaphor had lanolin but also a bunch of other stuff in it. It’s less than half petroleum jelly. Vaseline is 100% petroleum jelly
@@orthenight yeah I think that’s common. Aquaphor allows it to “breathe” and is moisturising while Vaseline is not. It’s cool stuff

aquaphor is used widely by many who have tattoos since they allow tattoos to “breathe” whereas vaseline (which is 100% petroleum jelly) does not

PSA for candle sniffers, either hold a candle in one hand and do a open hand, almost scooping method wafting the air towards your nose OR sniff the lid as you’ll get a better scent profile and won’t get a headache from sniffing all those candles
