Beka's solo is one of my favourite solos of all time. Incredible balance between being out there and in the key. So groovy all the way through. And the Corea influence is strong without being a copycat neither. Simply a feel good solo.
The awesome Victor Bailey, sitting as he couldn't walk and time was not on his side. So sad, such a talent and beautiful personality. R.I.P Vic and your music will live on forever. Cheers
Lenny, the man...left hand playing on a right hand kit...even he's right handed. Together with these fantastic musicians, TOP!
Everytime I get back to this live show, Vic just leaves me spellbound, the artistry and the spirituality in his eyes are just invincible! RIP Vic, you're truly missed sir!
Victor is as always my fav, the most tastful bass player in history IMO
Alive and well is jazz in this century.
God, that snare drum is amazing! In my opinion, that is the perfect, ideal sound for a snare!
I agree!
I love you Victor may you rest with the music GODS and your amazing playing will remain upon us forever! May blessings stay with you ALL-WAYZ
Victor in fine form 🔥
Victor Great Forever
Victor THE MAN Bailey!!! :)
Rest in peace Victor Bailey
Victor Bailey just killing it!
Genatsvale!!!! As an Armenian I am happy to see my Georgian brother playing that well!
Fabulous! Beka is great, but Bailey + White are absolutely mesmerizing!
R.I.P. Beautiful and most inspiring Victor. ❤❤❤😪
Lenny, Lenny always keeping that fat pocket!
Congrats on all your success Lenny, I've been watching you hitting the skins for years - LOVED you with Clarke and Petrucciani as well, wonderful stuff!

Удачи тебе бека ты талантливый музыкант извини что на ты
man I love the sound of this guitarist
You gotta love the snare drum :)
Christian, I'm pretty sure you gotta love every single thing on that stage.... just sayin. There is more talent on this stage than in most small to medium size countries. lol
Beka. absolutely and AWESOME PIANIST !NO WAY TO PLAY BETTER. ! ABSOLUTE MASTER.
gracias por subir este recital, no conocia , solo a lenny white, me parece maravilloso cada uno de los musicos , bm de chile
Nice. Uplifting! Thank you😊
Слов не хватает!!! Драйв!
BAILEY was simply amazing, the man was pure music. Jaco, Burbridge, Wilkenfeld, Bailey. Those are my favorites on the electric bass.
Tracklist:
1.Sunny(B Hebb)
2.Footprints(W Shorter)
3.Mr Clean(W Irvine)
4.Eye of the hurricane(H Hancock)
Gracias!
Don't see how anyone can criticize Beka- sure he has to find his own voice but the dude is what- sixteen here? Probably could have said the same thing about Trane and Bird if they were recorded at this age... not to say he's in that class but his ideas are certainly unique. Chick is a great fan of his and that says something, not to mention how many established musicians are seeking him out nowadays...
Great concert men....Victor Bailey is a legend...the only problem (to me) is the camera director.
Met Victor at Berklee in 1979. At 18 years old he was outstanding. The best bassist in Boston during that time. Vic played in a band with Steve Vai. Steve too was 18 years old. Victor played a red Fender Jazz bass then. He always said he would play with Weather Report. I have many stories to tell about those days. I'll share as many as I can.
meh...I gotta call ya out on this "best bassist in Boston during that time" thing. I was in Boston, and at Berklee, for most of the same years Victor was there. Wayne Pedzwater was still around for at least the last few years of the 70s, Tim Landers also, Tim Archibald was around then too, Bruce Gertz was playing a lot of electric around town then, and *all* those cats could eat Vic for lunch without breaking a sweat. The thing that was so cool about Vic was HOW MUCH HE GREW *after* he joined Weather Report. The guy we're hearing in ^^^this video here from 2012 didn't exist in Boston in 1979. He was somewhat gifted and definitely confident at that time, but man was 18-year-old Vic *not* a world class musician.
Tough Love...
@@BobRoss-gr9px okay, I'm back with you. All the guys you named were good players. 👍 I'm committing on Vic because he was special. I saw it instantly in Vic, Steve, Tommy Campbell and Randy Roos. That's all I'm speaking of. The bass players that I remember. Were sounding like Jaco, all of them. I made a little noise myself. But, I was sounding like Stanley Clarke. My drummer was Ronald Savage. We were hot. But this isn't about me. Those guys were exceptional. The players you spoke of were to me just players. I saw them. But wasn't impressed. Victor, Steve Vai, Tommy Campbell and Randy were exceptional.
I remember one of your guys played a Carl Thompson Piccolo Bass.
Peace, hit me back.
@@BobRoss-gr9px do your remember Loren Leman, guitarist. Played a white Lez Paul
Good to see a new young face in the jazzscene !

The Name of The First Song Is"Sonny" Peace, Shablanga.
what's wrong with the camera director? when someone starts to solo, tha camera doesn't focus on the person
Sunny by Bobby Hebb..Late Jazz guitarist and singer!

I didn't really get what time signature "Footsteps" was in.

schade, keine Kamera auf die Hände des jungen frischen ausgelassenen Pianisten.
Cameramen and director are DISASTER!!! What production is this???

Hi there, anyone knows what method/equipment/mic do they use in the room? Thanks
Does anybody know the name of the last song?

What a waste of energy and cavers tape that would be...
