This song saved my life back in 2015. I was dealing with high functioning depression and did not know how to put what I was experiencing in words. This song got me through a very tough season in my life and for that, I am forever grateful. I'm glad it is getting the recognition it deserves!
Whenever you react to a NF song it makes me appreciate the songs more cause you break them down and pull out the meanings as if you increased its meaning. This was great. It would be cool to see a reaction to NF intro 2, it’s amazing
For me this song basically describes my life, when I was younger I was so confident and carefree, but as I get older I constantly feel out of place and alone. When I want to speak up I feel stuck. I'm held back by the fears and I'm paralyzed. I've forgotten how to be that person I used to be.
You're not alone my friend... We'll all been there but life has its way of teaching us to grow. That's something NF taught me and I can assure you, it gets better... Hang in there buddy.

This is the first NF song I ever heard and I instantly fell in love with it, and him, I cried so much first listening to this. It describes my depression really well. I really love this song

Whenever I need to get it out and just Breakdown, this is one of his songs I always listen to. Honestly every single song of his is just....idk. words can't fully describe it but it's this feeling you get in your soul when you listen to NF.

Knox, I appreciate that you did this song. As I've said before, this song has helped me push forward in life. It is a sad song in ways but when I close my eyes and listen to this, I get lost and can release all the emotions that I have locked inside. Alot of Nate's song have that effect. I think that's why his fan base is so passionate.

Man!! This is one of my favorite NF songs. One of my favorite lines is “I no longer feel things I know I should.”
There has been times in my life where I have been so numb from circumstances that with conversations I had I knew I should feel a certain way, I should be mad, or pissed off, but felt nothing... It’s one of the weirdest feelings when you realize you can’t feels anything when you know you should.

This is one of my favorite songs. If reminds me of my past, but it shows how i have changed from it. My dad traumatized me. He abused me to the point the point of suicide and then i stopped feelings emotions. I'm doing better now, but this is a good reminder that I was able to change. As well as leave him behind and got out of the dark place.

I love this song. I feel like it is speaking to people that are good, know what is right, you may be a Christian (or not), but you do destructive things that harm people you love. At least that is what it meant to me because there was a time I selfishly made some horrible choices that harmed a lot of people and that wasn't the real me.

Now this is what I want to see when I search for reaction videos.
I listened to this song for the first time walking home from work in the middle of the night the side walk was icy and compacted- small waves of footprints slippery and hard. I got this picture then of just taking one step at a time to paralyzed by the fear of falling to move any faster still half a mile from home. Living in the moment sad and cold but looking forward to when i could finally rest at home. Think it was apt.
The point being...life is about choice and sometimes it feels like even if your careful you coild get hurt anyway and when it feels like there really are no options, it gets...exhausting and you just spiral down but...life isnt always just slippery ice but its easy to loose sight if hope when your stuck in the moment.

I don't know if you heard it but in the background of the hook, there is a high pitch noise that is static. Like a droning pitch. I've heard others take that as a representation of being paralyzed. Or like in movies, a person is near a loud explosion and the audio simulates ear ringing. Almost as if his hearing is numbed and he can't hear anything else but that static ringing. Gotta listen very closely when the bass of the hook breathes.
