I love VK's playing so much!!! Don't forget Tony MacAlpine!!! He plays many Chopin Etudes on his albums and has been classically trainedfrom a young age!!! I don't know about Rudess though. He's really good but I don't know if he's that good. Vitalij is a bona fide classical musician who plays rock/metal on the side. Nothing compares to the rigorous discipline required to play classical piano. Robby Valentine's playing is also incredible, but not quite in Vitalij's league. Awesome!!!

@arpegiosamistikus I think that a great musician have to play every kind of music e and genre ;)....For example Yngwie Malmsteen can plays ONE genre,Jason Becker EVERY genre....By the way,I love Vitalij Kuprij ;)

yes he maybe can :) I believe it. but the difference is that rudess plays keyboard not acoustic piano it's just sad that you can't get same kind of touch from keyboard as you can get from for example steinway
i think you played better here in this turtorial than in audio "The modern european tradition" i mean Etude 12 from op 10. And audio sound better. Only my opinion.

Agree, it´s more then slighly out of tune as well. I would not even play ragtime on that piano.

@arpegiosamistikus si puede!! jordán rudess grabo un disco llamado "steinway to heaven" junto con otros tecladistas reconocidos, pero en ese disco jordan toca la misma pieza musical de Chopin que esta tocando vitalij kuprij en este video, asi que para mi gusyo jordan es mejor q vitalij kuprij, gracias!!!
