Im learning to play piano/guitar and learned a LOT from these videos. Vitalij seems like a really nice cool guy compared to other famous musicians. The kind of guy who is down to earth and helpful to everyone as well as someone who would be nice to hang around with. Ive never seen any famous musician who is this open about showing how to play complicated piano like Vitalij
vitali, i just wanted to say you are a living inspiration for my music playing. i have been playing for 12 years and your ability is earth shaking, theres no words to describe what comes out when you play. an equal to beethoven in my eyes. just wanted to say thank you!
i hope more people begin to appreciate Vitalij. His Chopin work is fantastic. He has technical proficiency to match pollini but he doesn't let technicality go over his head. he blends personality with technicality so well. but most importantly he is an awesome song writer
Listening to his own composition at the end there. I think it's not hyperbole to say that if he had written this piece a couple hundred years ago, Vitalij Kuprij would now be a household name as one of the greatest classical composers ever. Unfortunately, he will probably be forgotten since he was born too late.
@Fate0fTheArt Yep that's my fav album of his. I was quite dissappointed with VK3. Knowing that the mulit-talented Tony MacAlpine was on guitar...I was hoping to see a duo keyboard shredding for one track at least.
You really think he is going to tell people to get fast requires hours and hours of practice? The key element to speed is PATIENCE. Patience to wait for your hands to get as fast as your brain and patience to relax and allow your hands to hit the correct notes. Patience to allow creativity to come naturally. All this takes time. It isnt as simple as sitting on the toilet and taking a dump. It requires training. And in this insane world most people expect results like taking a dump.
@KvK54 Yngwie would love to be that talented, disciplined and skilled. Vitalij has far more to offer than yngwie on guitar. I like them both, but totally different.
To play fast you must think fast. Maybe. That depends on whether each note you are playing is critical to the message you are making with the music. Many players play linearly and the scales are just long winded methods to utilize not many chords. Also, most parts that have speed have been practiced. Over and over and over. So the musician has the chords in the head and only what varies slightly is the notes.
Additionally, when practicing, yes those ideas are good, but play them slow like each note is brain surgery. The best idea is to have your hands tense like just before you want to strangle the shit out of someone(like a coworker) and relax for each note but keep the hands and wrists TENSE(again getting ready to throttle someone). My speed ironically is increasing greatly and all this keyboard practice prevents unforeseen aggression by me towards idiots. A duel between Jens and Vitalij maybe?
I don't agree with what he says about strengthening your fingers. It's much more effective to learn how to relax the fingers you aren't using, and getting the strength from the upper arm.
I still cannot believe you are gone... RIP maestro!

You scare the shit out of me Vitalij... you're too good man!
Listening to this makes me wish progressive metal bands would use a real piano more often and less of the synth keyboard. Such a better sound.
¿Which five voice fugue by Bach does he play?

Yes, somewhat outta tune. But still quite cute.
what is the name of the piece played at 5:10
jorge rozo Lost Memories - Artension
@@matheusir ????? This is Bwv 850
3:45 is so fun to hear, guitar players cannot refrain from arousal

The malmsteen of the keys!!.

LA GUERRA PIU TODALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! :-)
super duper mooper gooper fucking piano genius god
Can you blame him, things are tense in both Ukraine and USA! The piano is therapeutic tool to prevent assaulting/strangling idiots!!

The guy can't keep still for one second, he just wants to rip that piano in half!
turned into an advertisement in the end xD
Hahaha, Vitalij smokes pot!!
Beethoven, Why so serious...

no beethoven no party!
once in a while you have to play fast ,but often? in my understanding it always ruin the body of music.

I think he´s a lil bit gay for his piano :) But he is a monster at playing it,its so extreme that my ears are actually crying!
He did not understand the meaning of the word: teach. He just wamt to show quickness. Very fast piano player but very bad teacher.
idiot. he’s not teacher, he’s a PERFORMER. he’s just showing some tools of your mechanical skills and compositions. 😒
