brooklyn jb I'm just finding out now he was a ex crackhead. No wonder he played this role so well and said this was the movie that broke him into Hollywood/fame
Just shows how much scope he has as an actor. From a hardened, philosophical gangster in Pulp Fiction, to a crack addict low life, to a chain-smoking computer programmer in Jurassic Park. Sam Jackson is one of the greats. Hard to believe he's now 72! And it's pretty impressive that he was once a drug addict who turned his life around and got sober to become a true success.
I also love how in all of those roles, his character was really just different sides of Samuel L. Jackson 😂. It's like Clint or Liam or Arnold--no matter what role they play, they really play themselves. But damn if they aren't awesome at it.
The song playing in the background is "Chemical Love" by Stevie Wonder from the "Jungle Fever" soundtrack (all songs by Stevie). I love the entire album.
What had me dead is Halle in the background just randomly bantering 😂 yelling at the wind to stop blowing and when Gator came back with fifty dollars she flashed
Really? Congrats! This scene is special to me, as I was fortunate to meet both Samuel L. Jackson and Halle Berry! Both were in town to film projects. Halle was filming "Queen" just as "Boomerang" was hitting theaters. She actually attended the film one Friday night. Some friends thought they saw her. The following day, while I was at work in Camelot Music, she came in. She wore shades with no makeup. She removed them to shop. I saw her ad instantly knew I had seen her before on film, but couldn't remember who she was! I asked if her if I could help her find something. She said, "I'll let you know." Ask we spoke, "I asked if she was from Ohio, and she said yes. I stared again, and it clicked! It was her! The scene of her and Jackson as crackheads did it! She then asked me for the Will Smith CD with "Summertime" on it. As I gave it to her, she thanked me, and I thanked her for both the purchase and her work. She also thanked me for remaining discreet. After she left, I took 5! My co-workers asked if was OK. I said yes, but I needed some water. I just met Halle Berry!! They were in disbelief until I showed them the sales receipt. It had her signature with the message, "Thanks, you're a gentleman!" Samuel Jackson, I also met a work. He was awesome! It was a slow day, him and Bruce Willis were in the mall, but Bruce didn't have come in. They were filming scenes for "Die Hard 3." Because it was hot, Jackson wanted some Reggae music. He said, "And no, Bob Marley! I showed my faves, Steel Pulse and Black Uhuru. He wasn't that familiar with Steel Pulse, but it was their "Best Of" CD. "Mystical Truth" was Black Uhuru's latest disc. I figured he would like it because it featured the song by WAR "Slipping Into Darkness," and WAR would be a band he knew. He got both. I referred him to a store my sister had, which had African art pieces. Both he and his wife went there, shocked my sister, and made purchases. She didn't believe me when I told her he was coming. In these times, I like to remember how music and art can always bring people together as well as joy! Be Blessed!🙏🙏
How a crack movie was not made with Jackson and Berry starting will always be beyond me. These 3 minutes are better than many 2 hour movies involving drugs.
been watching this same scene for 3 days and its still the best "you know ill do it....you know ill do it...ill do it ill do it ill do it, im a c-c-c-c-rack-head
A great scene! Kudos to Halle Berry for her Method acting like approach to her, performance,Spike Lee for being a great director, Wesley Snipes for his great and underrated performance, in a role that reportedly was offered to Denzel Washington, and last, but not least, the great and amazing, Samuel L. Jackson, for his amazing performance, a performance that even the Cannes film Festival loved immensely!Great to see Wesley and Samuel at last week's Oscar show, though it was overshadowed by a certain incident that's being talked about, and last, but not least, congratulations to Samuel L. Jackson for finally getting an Honorary Oscar!About time!

Halle Berry looked so cute when she was awkwardly twitching lol

Ik right
hazardous1990 cause she’s cat woman
That is a fact 💯 not gonna lie
The song playing in the background is "Chemical Love" by Stevie Wonder from the "Jungle Fever" soundtrack (all songs by Stevie). I love the entire album.
Thank you for the info
Yes very good soundtrack
Just noticed that the song and its title perfectly fit the situation ("Chemical Love" between crackheads Gator and Vivian).
Wow. THANK YOU. I love Stevie and I never found this album.
That whole soundtrack was tight
What had me dead is Halle in the background just randomly bantering 😂 yelling at the wind to stop blowing and when Gator came back with fifty dollars she flashed
When you realize that the three of them played marvel characters!
Wesley Snipes: Blade
Samuel L. Jackson: Nick Fury
Halle Berry: Storm
Michael Bankston oh shit! I just realized
Halle has the best of both worlds (Marvel's X-Men as Storm and DC Comic's as Catwomen)
what happens?
Blade was and is still the coolest Marvel movie ever
