It is because everything was made by GOST (Govenmental Quality system), which required to create long-lasting production in order to satisfy internal market and be competitive in international market Because internal market was immense, and production was limited, so products should serve very long time, comparing to western capitalist system, where products at that time were created for 4-5 years, in order to re-buy them and support economy and production. Both poles had different economical systems, so they created different types of product with different life span.
@@raulfernandezperez73 Socialism worked fine, I am assume you are referring to fall of Socialism, well its simple, these countries restored Capitalism that is why Socialism collapsed because they gave it up, yes even Gorbachev was restoring Capitalism in the 80s in USSR, he allowed for private enterprises to exist and even allowed for people to own property during later years. DPRK (North Korea) is however oldest existing Socialist country, 75 years old. And its also one of fastest growing economies in Asia with VERY heavy embargo and almost no external trade. So you think Socialism cannot sustain, but you live on a planet with finite resources, so how you can think a system (Capitalism) that consumes infinite amount of resources just to create profit and nothing else compared to Socialist system which produces materials to last a life time in order to reduce production waste and increase efficiency. Many argue that computer systems should be updated yearly, but in reality an avg person uses his computer for 7 years. And the avg gamer uses his PC for 4 years. People do not care, they only update their computers because of software, but if you make greater improvements to software rather than to design them poorly so they need more computer power to do similar job 10 year old software did, you are just wasting material, resources and energy. Video games can still look amazing with little hardware performance like consoles, how can you explain a 2006 console hardware produce pretty good graphics in 2015, its because they designed the software well and efficient. New PC hardware every 5 years make more sense than every year. Reduce waste, reduce consumption.

I love the quality of your videos. keep going, your audience will find you
Thanks 😉
Spot on this appeared in my feed today, awesome work and you got a new sub keep it up 👍
oh yeah!!!
I was surprised how beautiful the dial was after all these years. Beautiful watch
Strangely fascinating. The music was a perfect touch 👌 Excellent work
like everything from old Russia, Made to last forever, i know that i am from Cuba, Russian's bicycles still linger around like war tanks.
It is because everything was made by GOST (Govenmental Quality system), which required to create long-lasting production in order to satisfy internal market and be competitive in international market
Because internal market was immense, and production was limited, so products should serve very long time, comparing to western capitalist system, where products at that time were created for 4-5 years, in order to re-buy them and support economy and production. Both poles had different economical systems, so they created different types of product with different life span.
@@sm1l250 yes i know that, thats why their system was impossible to sustent ...

Socialism worked fine, I am assume you are referring to fall of Socialism, well its simple, these countries restored Capitalism that is why Socialism collapsed because they gave it up, yes even Gorbachev was restoring Capitalism in the 80s in USSR, he allowed for private enterprises to exist and even allowed for people to own property during later years.

Surgically accurate work! You bring them back to life, and they said "Thank you, friend"
this is really an impressive work, hope your channel keep the flow with impressive restorations like the ones you made until now and grow massively.
My father was gifted one of those in war by his friend. We now sell watches of all kind but this is his favorite.
Thanks.. This helped me on my 1st watch repair, another vostok with a police car emblem. it now ticks but i managed to loose the crown retainer pin i fasioned one out of cocktail stick, not a good start but it Ticks. Your great vid here helped lots and lots. Thanks....
Great work. When you had it all disassembled on the table, all I could think was "Oh Hell No!" End result is a beautiful watch.
That is beautiful, I don’t know why I find these fascinating to watch. I’ve never been interested in watches, now I really want to buy an old one just to get it restored lol.
It's nice to see thats you only replaced little things and saved many original parts. It looks outstanding!!! I'm so glad I watched your video. Thank you. It looks brand new like the one I have!!!
Какое невероятное терпение нужно вот так сидеть и чего то там ковырять !И надо иметь железные нервы !
Это крайне занимательный процесс)) И вопросов о терпении там возникает))
I’ve watched loads of watch restoration videos and I’ve never seen someone redoing the lume really interesting great video.
IMHO you have the best watch repair videos on RUclips. You always wear finger cots when handling the watch and delicate parts you’re very precise in assembly and you explain what you’re doing throughout the process. Other RUclips videos on this subject can’t hold a candle to you. I hope after watching all your videos I can learn how to work on watches as this looks very interesting to me
Получаю релакс во время просмотра
Love the combination of his work and the music ... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You do a fantastic job restoring these little pieces of art we wear on our wrist
Wow! I own this watch. The restoration was mesmerizing! Great work.
Fascinating. Truly an extraordinary manual skill. All your expertise and experience shines through. Behind all this there is a lot of study and a lot of practice. Good boy! I joined. Greetings from Rome.
Amazing, have become obsessed, just bought a vostok watch from ebay, says its been serviced, had to have one now I know that goes on inside.
That fact that you can put every thing back in order is amazing. I can't even remember after step 4 or 5 :D
That is probably the finest looking watch I’ve ever seen

I have the Aero version, which my late aunt, an Air France stewardess, bought when she flew to the CCCP in the 60's. While mine still works well and keeps good time, it could use a good service.

Great 🎵🎶🎵 at 8:48. Really cool triple tap with the tweezers. Tap tap tap. That was a very pretty designed movement. Great job RDR! Thanks again 🕰🕰🕰

I love the video from the category "It was-became"! With gratitude to the author of the video!
The fact that this is a 40 dollar watch is just insane...
that could have the memorial value, for example
The mechanism in what I thought was such a simple device is amazing. How does someone even come up with that?
Its quite simple compared to Swiss watches, ironically.
They actually made some pretty complicated mechanical watches like 2000 years ago, amazing what people could do back then without computer assistance.
Hahaha this one is quite simple actually... Take a look at an A. Lange & Söhne, my favorite brand. You'll get lost navigating the huge city of mechanisms that is built inside of such a small piece. And if you want to get more fascinated, search about the finishes that they apply on all the pieces inside of it, even on the ones that aren't visible. Jenni Elle has a great video on the Datogtaph Perpetual Tourbillon
@@SMGJohn 2000 years ago, the people in swiss didnt build complicated mechanical watches, they discovered Fire xD
@@leopoldbaumann1575
2000 years ago the Chinese were producing more steel than the likes of Spain does today.
Roman Empire was growing tremendously, expanding vast cities with complicated infrastructures, Egyptians, Assyrians and Persians were also accomplishing feats of ingenuity even inventing the simple light bulb and power it, Greek had complicated calculators with tiny switches and gears.
Inventing fire is what they did 100 000 years ago.
