This sensor saved my ass.... I bought it for the garage to put together with the Chinese diesel stove "cineasto" even if the exhaust was channeled well ... I said to myself I'll buy another one to keep in the house for the fireplace ... I show up home with this sensor and immediately my wife doesn't want to see this giant thing so I set it in the wall in an old scaffolding hole (when I renovated the house I found the old holes in the wall where there was the scaffolding to build the house) one evening I hear a strange noise coming from the lit fireplace but I don't pay much attention to it (the cast iron fireplace had broken) after a while I go to bed since the fire is half off ... at 2 in the morning I hear a strange sound and I think that yet another cat has climbed into my car but this sound increases in frequency and is too loud to come from my garden ... I get up in my underwear in winter I open the door and in the corridor it seems that a smoke bomb from a stadium has been lit I go towards the living room / fireplace and I don't see flames so I open the windows (2 at night in winter in Tuscany it's cold especially when you're sober and in your underwear and scared) Due to a return of wind the combustion instead of going into the flue (chimney exhaust damper in eco mode) vented into the house....I CAN STATE that this sensor saved my life because from the CO level it recorded I would have had maybe 1 hour to live while I was sleeping
A similar thing happened to me also, thanks to my little girl who couldn't sleep and saved our lives from the smoking stove due to high winds. And then I bought a similar thing. Such a system and fire extinguisher is imperative for every home.
@@ErCanEverything after all this I modified the flue by fitting a wind-turning chimney and not a wind turbine with external bearings of the German STEER brand ... no draft problems even with strong downdraft winds (I live on the hills of Florence) a truly good product even with pouring rain not a drop falls inside the flue and with a strong north wind it works like a charm ...
