Watches can be damaged without proper handling and while the repair you are about to attempt may seem simple, you can easily break or ruin the watch with any small mistake. If you have any doubts about this repair, do not hesitate to take your watch to a professional watchmaker or jeweler. - Хобби
It's only 2013 yet sounded very retro.
Sounded really retro in 2023
8 year tutorial ended up helping, perfect tutorial. Just needed to fix the band because the small clasp broke. Ty
Thank you, that was exactly what I needed to know and I was able to fit my new watch band in about two minutes flat!
If you are having a hard time inserting the pin into the second hole, put the watch in a freezer for about ten minutes. This will shrink the band a little and give you more play in the instalation. After an hour of struggling I did this and it popped right in.
Just pop the band inside the freezer?
@@Syedhumza_17 wouldn't putting the watch itself in the freezer, harm the watch? Maybe not...if it's only in a short while......?
@@WearyCowboy Not a good idea at all
@@lexbeltran1354 what isn't a good idea....the freezer thing?
Genius! These have the most problematic band to get snapped back in I have ever dealt with and I own a lot of watches. The band pinches and stops the spring from being able to lock in. RAGE!! That said they are one of the most comfortable bands.
Very helpful video. Purchased a replacement casio strap and a spring bar tool. A few minutes watching this and the job was easy.
I love instructional videos from the 80s
really thank you, sir...I am thrilled sir. I won't forget u. I was removing the screws that are near the strap end so that It wud come..but they seemed to be not connected..then finally I found u r video sir..it was a little difficult to remove without the spring bar..but still thank god I had a tiny screwdriver...
2024 and an 11-year-old tutorial that's still great
Thanks for the video! Was having troubles understanding my Garmin 400 strap replacement instructions and it used the same system shown on the video.
Nice video. I was doing exactly the same before watching this video and spent half an hour trying to put band back in place with no luck. I thought this video will reveal some magic trick how to put spring secured.
2024, still functional video. 🙌🏻
Thank you so much for making this video, I broke my brothers watch and I used the second half of this to fix it, after a while it worked!
Very helpful video. Needed to replace my Casio watchband that's 11yrs old😀👍
Thank you so much. Don't know how much money I saved with this helpful video :-).
Am from 2021 and thx for the Tutorial it helped me very much
Thanks! Helped a lot 😊😊
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to know !
Thanks Again! Excellent directions.
gosh...those beautiful hands!
That's what I was thinking the entire time lol
@@Deadlyaztec27 I think those are of a woman. They don't have much hair
Ok with the spring pins, but what about the bands with tiny screws?
Thank you, this is very helpful
Pair of tweezers did the trick with removing the spring, just squeeze the tip to form the forked shape needed.
Thank you, the video was very helpful
3:14 take the watch *CASE*
this really helps. thanks
This was very helpful!
Very helpful video
So helpful. Thank you so much
thx mate, great tutorial
The problem I am having is that moving the pin around on a resin case seems to scrape and do permanent damage to the lugs. Maybe it takes more than one try, but each try is scraping, and "eating" away at, the non-metallic lug.
Thank you so much for the video!!!
This was very useful
I replaced my Timex Ironman watch battery (CR2025) last night...for the 3rd time. Band is still in perfect condition. I've had the watch for around 5 years or so. I replaced the original band, once. So, it's on it's 2nd watch band...& its 3rd battery now. It's been a great watch.
Anyway, why do they make it SO HARD to remove the pins!!!??? Argh!! The 1st pin came off really easily......but the other one took around 45 minutes to finally get off.
I use a tiny jeweler's type screwdriver....& don't have the professional jeweler's tools, of course. Is their a trick to getting the pin off, EASILY?? Is that tool you're using a special tool, that makes it much easier to take the pins off?
That's always the hardest part for me; removing the pins from the watch. Aside from that, it's a rather easy job to do. I think I have the old, original gasket in okay. What will happen if the gasket isn't on perfectly....will sweat get inside, etc? Hope not!! Don't want any battery acid issues...on my wrist.
Timex; Ironman watches are really nice......but with that band being so flush with the watch (for style/looks)...it's tough getting to the retractable pins. I need a watch that has both a stopwatch & a timer feature...for my medication monitoring. Not sure how much Walmart or a jewelry store would charge to replace the battery, but I enjoy doing "repairs" & maintenance on stuff I own....if I can. Sense of accomplishment. But....man, it took too long to get that 2nd pin off last night. Fingers are sore today...lol.
Good video, btw. Not all on RUclips are very good when showing how to do something.
Sorry, I don't have a spring bar. It seems to be a cylinder with a screw on each end, but I can't get any but one to unscrew. It is a Timex Intellgence Quartz T2N720
I don’t know anything about watches but is this applicable to Timex Weekender watch (removable strap/slip through strap) when you remove the grey tiny stick?
What if I lost the this pin

Thanks man, I've been cutting belts for nothing

thank you again...... you saved me
So very difficult to get the pin into the tiny holes!
They don't make it very easy, do they?
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing
Great video: very clear
Thank you helped alot
thanks! I watched the video and was able to change the battery and the watch band on my ironman watch!
It is very hard re boy love from india
My watch doesn't have spring bar but good video overall
Great voice! Great tips, I love Casio.
I only use Spidel Twist-O-Flex bands. Do you have a video showing how to put the Twist-O-Flex band on?
Its very similar to our other video ruclips.net/video/7RQxBPMeKvU/видео.html
When I attach the strap comes right back any fix?
Thanks again
Can someone tell me the name of the watch in the video?
Sir can i change my rubber strap with metal strap
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you
Nice hands!
Thanks 😊
And then throw it into the wall in rage because the spring dose not get into position for 4872 trys..
I think this is part of Timex's marketing strategy. You get so frustrated, you decide to simply buy another watch rather than get high blood pressure!
on one side the bar goes in but then pops out can anyone help :(
It does that on both side for me, I've been trying to pop them in the holes of the watch for over an half an hour... still no success.
Edit: After some bloody tears and pain on every inches of my hands, I finally got it... after 75 minutes, and scraping the hell out of my watch back-side, and tilting one new spring.
Worth the effort? I need to ask my old brain I had to throw in the garbage for overheating of frustration over this stupid task.
Thanks guys....And gals too....JM's watch shop
thank you tank you you saved my farrari watch

BEAUTIFUL HANDS
Gooooood
I just use my nail to do it. easy life.
Her hands are pretty
Is it just me, or can anyone else also hear a doubled techno voice?
why wouldd i do this to my rollex watch
I removed my bands with a sharp knife
Not a really good idea, if you slip & stab your finger, etc.
Well, I just happen to have a fuckin' spring bar tool right here. SHOW ME HOW TO DO IT WITHOUT THE FANCY GODDAMN TOOL I DON'T HAVE.
Pft
Makes no sense
The woman doing the repairs had some really attractive hands. Not gonna lie.
Jesus Christ dude clip your nails
Uhm....pretty dang sure it's a women's hands, dude.
It was really helpful. Thanks.
