What if I told you, there’s an entire villa in the middle of Poland’s capital, with everything left behind?
With all its overgrowth, this multi-family apartment building is truly hidden from plain sight. It once housed three families, yet, it remains a mystery how they all left their personal possessions behind and never returned. From wedding photos to clothes, the building is strangely well-preserved after its occupants left a couple of years ago. Today, we venture inside, hoping to uncover the secrets of the lives once lived here and understand why they abandoned everything.

can I make a suggestion? The families went abroad maybe UK or other country looking for work, and a better life. Meantime rented the property to tenants thinking that they might come back, but they liked where they were so stayed abroad, making it a permanent home. Lost track of the tenants living there. Eventually property was abandoned as no upkeep and it was in general mess. Does that sound like a believable story? Maybe the owners were hoping to come back one day , but too much time had passed.

I really like to watch you because you are professional audio-visualists. I can hear what both of you are saying, although one of you is on the far side of the room. Most duet explorers are not professional -- I can hear the one holding the camera, but the other one farther away sounds like he is mumbling and I can never hear what they say. My thoughts regarding this property: When multiple tenants of an apartment building has to leave suddenly at one time, it seems to indicate that the building was sold quite suddenly to a developer (who has not developed yet), and the tenants were only given a very short time to evacuate. The tenants may have been paid to leave suddenly and paid for their belongings in order to get them out immediately. Very interesting explore. Never seen an explore like this one.
Блаодарю вас Маурено и Ремон, за ваше классное видео-сследование! По всей видимсти, был собственник этой виллы и остальные апартаменты сдавал в аренду. Но случилось непредвиденное. Дом дал серьёзную трещину и нужно было быстро выселяться , потому люди и не забрали многие хорошие вещи с собой. Да к тому же они были в преклонном возрасте. А с собственником виллы случилаась смерть и нет других наследников.
Must have been a foundation issue if the walls are cracked.. They were all forced to leave in a hurry.... Interesting explore......😊

This could have also been an assisted living facility. Would explain the set up and most assisted living places have men and women living in the same place just different rooms
Absolutely do you only difference between this apartment building or what was once at home and then turned into apartments, isn’t assistant living facility with absolutely no amount of a country have elevators. Or ramp. Because with assisted living not many people can fill up that money floors.
That's really weird tbh 😮 i wonder what happened in this villa that made all these families leave at once and never come back leaving all their belongings and memories behind 🤔 And allll that decay in only 4 years! Ummmmm!

There was a housing problem in post-war Poland. If someone had their own house or palace, they had to take other tenants under their roof. Over time, people moved out to so-called blocks of flats in housing estates. Life in Poland is not easy. Best regards

Hey dear Maureno, Explomo, That was actually an interesting and at the same time a strange place, which you explored together with Remon in Warsaw. - Really impressive and huge house from the outside. - Yes, and I agree to you very many traces of massive decay were visible. - These appartments with the unfortunately heavily messed up rooms really look, as if the former tenants had to move out forcibly, because a lot of food and incredibly many personal belongings and huge amounts of clothes were just left behind. That does leave a lot of questions open what might have happened there. - In some rooms I had the impression, that the former tenants had quite a cozy life, considering the furniture and many items, which still were visible behind all the mess.
A very interesting but at the same time rather sad explore! Thank you for sharing that Polish adventure. Wishing you all the best, peace and kindest regards.

Love those wooden decorative eggs. Called “pisanki” in Polish (which comes from the verb pisać, or 'to write'), the elaborately decorated Polish Easter egg is a tradition
Don't know why but this place makes me think of the stories of Russia when the Bolshevists took over. Big buildings that use to belong to one family were taken away from the family and turned into multiple family dwellings. They would cram people together. But if I remember correctly Poland was part of the Soviet takeover. Which means at some point there might have been 6 or more families in that building.

I think they were forced out of that place by the owner (or someone who inherited the deed) who took it over and now is doing nothing. That was a common practice especially in Warsaw. This building is probably about 100 years old. After ww2 such buildings were acquired by the state and let to other people. The rightful owners either died in prison camps, emigrated or were forced out by the state.

Maybe something happened to landlord he passed and they had to move out . And where they moved to they had no room to take all there things?

Those stoves in the corners are great during winter to heat the house. You can use coal or gas to burn inside. Special brick is used inside those stoves that hold heat for a long time and radiates heat to the surroundings to heat the room.

Have you ever found an abandoned home to find it was a part of your family or friends of your family? How did you feel about the abandoned home, or what were your feelings and thoughts after you found out?
I have gone into abandoned properties and felt so much for the family that was forced to abandon their home and much of their heirlooms.

Just watching this and the sudden abandonment of everything, even clothes, makes me think it's like Chernobyl. However that's not possible as the building is in the middle of the city. Most probably it was a sudden evacuation due to structure instability.
Who knows what happened... At least three completely different families. New parents, maybe an old person and a maybe a middle-age woman who seems that was refurbishing the apartment she bought or inherited. That's so odd that all of them left. I can think that the building had some problem and they hay to be displaced.
You don't begin to refurbish a home where you don't plan to stay and you don't leave your baby's picture on the wall if you are not rushed to move.

Great Video and intro x Brilliant architecture outside but i feel it was dilapidated inside and needed a lot of maintainence work doing, maybe this is why the peoples had to vacate in a rush . Some beautiful photos in there especially the photo of the married couple left under the stairwell x

I feel like there was some type of illegal operations going on there and the building got raided. The authorities would have over turned everything and forced everyone out and more than likely they weren't aloud to go back in
