- This is a brief into to SPSS syntax - for newbies who can harness the power of syntax without learning how to write it :)
You've run loads of output and realised you made an error in the data. So now you edit the data and have to re-run all the output. Is there a quick way to redo all the output? YES, with code/syntax.
1:33 Method 1: Paste command for syntax
4:58 Method 2: getting syntax from output window
6:39 Running syntax options - run all, run selection, running one block at a time using Step Through
OMG YOU JUST SAVED ME COUNTLESS HOURS OF WORK! THANK YOU PHIL!
Thank you. Maybe since you made this video you will convince my students! Why don't people know about Syntax? The obsession with R because people want to "program" is hilarious when they won't utilise the commands in Fortran already written by SPSS.
Thank you so much! Life-changing
Thank you for this! Helps a lot.
Thank you so much Phil! It is very nice.
thanks
thanks a million
I don't have the "log" part before my outputs. Does anyone know why that is? I am trying to rerun my output due to sample change, but I can't find the way
Try 'Edit'>options>viewer- find 'log' in item dropdown menu > check the box at bottom left that says "display commands in the log". Rerun your tests and it should show up
I have some question and need some help can i email you?
