Yes you got it right they belong to a group called the Marines, basicaly they're the military of the World Goverment one of the main antagonist groups in the show. The white coat (with the kanji for Justice on its back) is given to officer ranks of the Marines.

The purple ice cube was actually the guys heart. Law is a extremely skilled doctor and his fruit allows him to create a small room which he can basically do anything he wants in it such as remove and attach limbs, swap peoples souls, attack peoples body parts to random obejects, or in this case remove a persons heart without killing them.
In the anime he actually did this too many people as a form of blackmail where if they tried anything against them he could squeeze their heart causing lots of pain.
He has one of the more overpowered fruits in the anime

Yah he is pretty strong and has a really over powered ability. It also lets him teleport with items in the room space.
The main downside tho is that it takes quite a bit of stamina to use it so the larger the room the quicker he gets tired. He is a fan favorite tho.

Swapping positions of 2 objects. Teleporting. He can cut you from anywhere within this domain. Remove your heart without killing you. Swap your souls so you end up in another person's body. He can directly attack your internal organs, bypassing defenses. The ultimate form of his ability is to prolong the life of a target with the sacrifice of his own life.
It is this power that allows him to command domains that lets him become one of the 7 Warlords. In the One Piece lore and universe, there exists one government called the World Government that is in control of the entire world. They hand out titles called the 7 Warlords of the Sea to pirates that they deemed to be extremely powerful and want on their side. The government will turn a blind eye to the pirates' activities, in exchange for the pirates answering the call of the government to mobilise when necessary. Basically, they are like what privateers used to be. Trafalgar Law is one of the fastest rising star to reach the 7 Warlords of the Sea status.
for a simple explanation of the show. their are fruits called devil fruits that give you powers at the cost of being able to interact with the ocean( for example being able to swim), this is how most characters have wacky powers however some characters(mostly the swordsmens) do not have any devil fruit powers, only raw strength. The guys who all have white coats are called the marines, they are the goverment of the one piece universe, they do not like pirates and are constantly trying to arrest them with their own devil fruit powers or abusing a mineral called sea prism stone (essentially the ocean but in rock form) to nullify others devil fruit abilities. Basically everyone not wearing a coat is a pirate and anyone else is a marine

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Also, the in-story explanation is that many powers that transform the user's body also affect the user's clothes. So the T-Rex guy's clothes change shape to still fit him, the fire guy's clothes can turn into fire and back to normal, and so on.
19:15 The Coat hanging over the shoulders is a status symbol in the show. Besides adding to the "cool factor" 😅, it means they are at the top in terms of strength.
But that doesn't mean everyone who does that is on the same team.

They actually have the devil fruit of hormones where they can inject someone to release hormones that can significantly boost healing. But the main thing they use it for is to basically instantly change genders which is part of the whole Rocky Horror theme.
They are a good guy and actually have an island they essentially rule over that is inhabited by crossdressers and people that had their sex swapped by them.
One of the main crew who is severely attracted to women is sent to this island and he spends a long time trying to run away from them trying to put a dress on him.
One Piece has you feeling some of the greatest feelings towards the weirdest characters. For example the guy with the swan outfit is extremely weird looking but he becomes one of the most dedicated characters who risks his life multiple times to save his friends. He might seem weird with his fashion sense but the guy has a heart of gold
Gold?, he has a heart made of daimon and deserves to become a strawhat if he ever goes free.
The "Joker" one aka Bartolomeo is a case of "looks like he could kill you but is a cinnamon roll"
He is actually pretty wholesome and a bro to the main group.

3:31 this is Tony Tony Chopper, he is the Straw Hat's Crew doctor. He ate the Human-Human fruit which turned him into a human-deer hybrid as he was originally a deer, albeit a runt of a deer. He is extremely intelligent and inventive but is a bit shy. The ball he ate is called a Rumble Ball, his own creation. His Devil Fruit, a Zoan Fruit, allows for three transformations, the user's original form, typically the 'human' form for most zoan eaters, his hybrid form, and his full 'animal' form again typically the human form. The Rumble Ball removes this transformation limitation and allows the user to have more than one form. Originally this had a huge drawback in that if eaten more than once it would cause Chopper to not control his transformations. If he ate it 3 times he would turn into monster point, which originally was an uncontrollable berserker form that would attack friend or foe utterly indiscriminately, this form is what Chopper turns into, however by this point Chopper was able to learn how to control the form but only for about 3 minutes and it wasn't quite as powerful as it originally was.

I think Law might have pulled out Dofflamingo's heart(purple cube) and crushed it. He has the power of "operation", as in surgery.
Its not clear to see because, if shown, the game would probably have be rated M for mature, instead of T for teens.

So for context the gene Simmons character is actually a reference to rocky horror picture show. As for recommendations I'd recommend taking a look at super eyepatch wolf's video called the appeal of one piece. It's a bit outdated but gives good context for the one piece universe going forward.

Onepiece is a world with these things called Devil Fruits, eating a devil fruit will give its wielder a power of some kind but make them lose the ability to swim. There are generally 3 types of fruit Paramecia, Logia, and Zoan
Paramecia is the most common and comes in all types of wacky things. For example we saw the clown guy Buggy who has the ability to separate his body so blade don’t work against him. Robin allows her to grow limbs off of other things like flower petals. Doflamingo is strings where he can stab people with them or attach them to the person and make them into a human puppet to do anything he desires such as kill their closest friends.
Zoan allows the consumer to have the ability to turn into an animal or an animal/human hybrid. Predatory animals are usually stronger. Some examples were the giraffe guy from the Deathbattle you saw, the cheetah guy, and Chopper who actually was born a reindeer but are the human fruit giving him the ability to talk and become sorta a human.
Logia is pretty straightforward as it turns you into an element Fire, Ice, Light, Magma, Electrcity, Smoke, Sand. It allows you to turn parts of your body into that element and also allows you to not be harmed from attacks, like getting clean in half you can just break down into the element and reform uninjured. Originally it was overpowered so now they got ways to deal with it.
Then there are Legendary Zoan fruits which are the rarest of them all. Some examples are the first guy with the seagull hat turned into a giant golden Budda. Also the Phoenix guy Marco can turn into a Phoenix and can essentially not be harmed just like how one will always rise from its ashes, also he can heal people with his flames if he chooses too.
Okay so certain fruits grant certain powers but which specific power you get is random? Like with Logia you don’t get to choose which element? 🤔

They are random, however from some way a super genius has been making an encyclopedia of what fruits give what powers because they all look different.
The thing is that when a person eats it only they can get that power even if someone else takes a second bite of it.
However, when the person who has that fruit dies, the power will randomly return to a fruit somewhere in the world for the next generation to possibly have it.

The "Humpty Dumpty" guy is Gekko Moria. He has control over shadows, and is one of the seven Warlords of the Sea, who're Pirates hired by the World Government.

one piece is known for the wacky designs oda the creator wanted it to stand out from other animes, all the high ranking marines have coats the coat on the Dino isn’t marine related just his style and the reason why some characters look similar or have similar clothes is because they are apart of the same pirate crews ace sabo and luffy are brothers ( not by blood) but that’s why they have similar moves💯💯

The two main power sources of One piece are devil fruits and haki. devil fruits have three different types and have an awakening too. You can only eat one. If you eat another one you die, and you have the curse of the sea. So, you can't swim, or you'll be paralyzed and drown. The three types are Paramecia type (It grants its users abilities which affect their body, manipulate their surroundings, or produce substances) Zoan type (allows its user to transform into another species, at will) Logia type (The rarest and strongest it gives its user the power to take the form of a natural element, to produce and control it at will) So, all attacks go through logia type Devil fruit users. But this is where Haki comes into play. You can only physically touch Logia type devil fruits users with Haki, and it has three types too. Observation Haki (allows the user to sense and evade attacks. Even see invisible enemies) Armament Haki (the ability to create an invisible or dark, hardened armor around one's body and or weapons) Conqueror's Haki (only one in a million people in the One Piece world are born with. Known to be an incredibly rare ability. It allows the user to exert their own willpower on others, knocking out the weak ones in the process and intimidating the rest) Hopefully this clarified some confusion and questions you both had.
Just when we think we understand devil fruits, Haki comes in and complicates it more for us 😅

The King of the pirates was caught, and brought to be executed. He shouted to the crowd that his entire fortune was hidden in one piece somewhere, and whoever finds it gets to be the next king of the pirates. Then they beheaded him, and every sea captain on the planet set sail looking for the One Piece of treasure.
And there are Devil Fruit that give you a special power, but take away your ability to swim. Bad news for a planet that's 90%+ ocean.

In the world of One Piece exists something call Devil Fruits, when you eat a Devil Fruit you gain a power depending of the type of the Devil Fruit you eat, there are three types of Devil Fruits and those are Zoan, Logia, and Paramecia.
Zoan-Type have the power to transform into an animal depending of the animal of the Fruit, They normally have three forms, the human or original form, the half-human half-beast form and the complete Beast Form, the most weird thing of Zoan Fruits is that inanimate object can eat this kind of fruits is something mentioned in One Piece and you can see like a bazooka turning into a dog or a sword turning into a elephant.
There are other three sub-type of Zoans those are: Ancient Zoan They transform into an extinct animals, Mythical Zoan they transform into creatures of myths and Artificial Zoan they don't transform completely into a animal, just some parts of their bodies they do, you can identify someone with a Artificial Devil Fruit becose of the black horns of they heads and they are the only Artificial fruits in One Piece.
Logia-Type basically they are walking natural disasters, they can turn their bodies into a element of nature, this allowing them to avoid all kinds of physical damage and regenerate parts of their bodies, unleash powerful attacks at long distances and can move more easily wherever they want.
Paramecia-Type they are have the most variety of superhuman abilities and powers, like turning their bodys into objects, change sizes, manipulate almost anything they want tec...
But despite all there is a catch, if you eat a Devil Fruit you lose your ability to swim despite having been a great swimmer before eating the fruit, you can't move, you start to sinking to the ocean and then you drown or you are eaten by sea monsters and also at the bottom of the ocean there is a mineral called Seastone that has the properties of the sea, this mineral weakens the Devil Fruit users and they lose all their powers and also Armor Haki Can inflict damage to Devil Fruit users even touch the Logia-type useres who are seen as untouchable.

There's a lot to unpack with some of these characters; but since Burning Blood.....there are so many more, like a dude who can make barriers by crossing his fingers, or someone who can turn objects into edible food.....but in all honesty, the Pirate Warriors is by far the best abridged way to get the full context of the story itself....PW3 explains the early stuff and 4 carries on (somewhat), but it encompasses around 1K+ episodes of One Piece all into one

Tim Burton's Humpty Dumpty name is Gecko Moria (Perona's captain) and he can steal other people's shadow and if he steals your shadow, you can't walk in sunlight or else you die.
Buggy the clown is one of the most luckiest unluckiest person to ever live and in the current events of story, he became one of the Emperor (aka the Marines most wanted pirates). His ability let him to chop any of his body parts (expect his feet) and move them around. A fan asks the creator if buggy can chop and move around his "meat" and he said yes

The guy with the beard is indeed a reference to Roshi. A lot of Shonen Jump shows like to reference and poke fun at each other. Some of my favorites are a Jinchuriki in Naruto being named Roshi and his Tailed Beast being a giant ape named Son Goku, Goku using a move that is reminiscent to the Rasengan from Naruto in the Super Broly movie and Krillin's ringtone in Battle of Gods being the original One Piece theme because the english voice actor plays Usopp(Pinocchio) in One Piece
One Piece is such a crazy experience to go through.

@Definitely Not Definitive - Games just a reminder: PW3 goes by a special moves by using a bar system: charge enough to get a bar and you use the 1st special move while waiting for the second to 4th bar allows you to use a second special.
PW4, however, has a list of specials to use and can pick 4 before playing and even some characters have form changes as well as extra special moves on top of that.
And trust me: some attacks get wild.
I recommend doing all Openings.

So the Harley Quinn like character, Perona, works for the Humpty Dumpty like character, Gecko Moria. They’re both devil fruit users, Perona’s gave her some ghost like abilities and Moria’s let’s him manipulate shadows. One piece is a wacky story with lots of weird elements, especially out of context.
25 Years in the making with 1083 chapters (ongoing) , 1061 Episodes (ongoing) , 15 anime films , A live action series on Netflix , 56 games video games , the manga has over 516.6 million copies making it the best-selling manga series in history and the author (Eiichiro Oda) has 2 Guinness World Record Awards for "the most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author" and other 15 major awards 🔥
So, without spoiling too much of the story of One Piece, it could be said that there are basically three factions in the One Piece world. The pirates, the revolutionary army and the marines.
A) The marines. They work for the World Government, and they try to arrest and execute the pirates and the members of the revolutionary army. They are organised and have a clear hierarchy.
B) The revolutionary army. This faction openly and actively opposes the World Government. They are organised and have a hierarchy, yet maybe not as much as the marines.
C) The pirates: This is the most varied faction of all of the three. They don't have a clear hierarchy like the other two factions, and though there are a lot of different pirates chasing different goals, two groups within the pirates faction must be mentioned:
- Firstly, there is the group of "The Seven Warlords of the sea". They are really powerful or influential pirates that sort of cooperate with the World Government with the purpose of keeping the balance between the forces of the pirate faction and the World Government faction. The world's strongest swordsman (musketeer Guy in the video) belongs to this group.
- Secondly, there is a group called "The emperors of the sea". It's formed by the world's strongest pirates. There are only four of them, and they are considered really dangerous and important individuals by every faction. They are quite feared. In this video two of them are shown, Redhead Shanks and Whitebeard.
In hope this helped you understand a bit of the world building of One Piece. Some of the things stated above may have changed throughout the story, but I tried to not spoil too much since One Piece is a long anime and some people who may not have caught up with the plot may read this comment.

This series is a LOT to take in. Honestly, some lore videos about each respective arc would probably be worth watching. Someone out there must have made those as well as reacting to various scenes. Seriously. This series has made me cry quite often.

The "pup" is Tony Tony Chopper, the doctor of the Straw Hats. He is a Reindeer Human due to eating the Zoan fruit, The Human Human Fruit, which grants him 3 transformations of Reindeer, human and hybrid form (hybrid is the small one before he changed) but due to using a drug called "Rumble", he can change into 4 other forms, including the one you saw called Monster Point, which is a strong power but leaves him weakened for a good amount of times. He calln also talk to humans animals alike.

One Piece characters have unique physiques, powers and laughs.
I do enjoy that there are some characters, that's modeled after real pirates and not just American pop culture.

the funny thing is, this video game only has like 30 characters while One Piece itself has hundreds. it starts out like a simple Shonen Anime, but it expands extensively over time. One Piece is the biggest Anime out there, even exceeding Dragonball Z in sales, that's how huge the fanbase is, growing to this day.
The author, Oda, has been writing the story for 25 straight years and counting. It is no stretch to call it a modern-day epic. If you want another taste of One Piece through the attacks, Pirate Warriors 4 is a newer game with better animations and more ultimates per person generally. I think you'll understand the movesets more (like the lava guy, glad you caught that). Plus Candy Land. That's in 4. I know that caught your eye in Jump Force, and it's a long watch until you get there.
P.S. Hadn't seen this game until now and woah I don't trust anyone who worked on the female models. Yeah One Piece has a male gaze problem but we really don't need side content to exaggerate it...

this world is split into the major powers. The Marines whose three grand admirals hold the very forces of nature in their hands with the powers of Volcano, Gravity, and Light(formerly Light, Volcano, and Ice). The Shibukai who have animal themes but are the seven strongest pirates on the oceans but gave it up for government servitude and a commission. And the 4 emperors which are the strongest of their time who made deals with the government to leave them alone in exchange for territory.
The rebels are fighting the government in any way they can by starting island wars and directly coming into conflict with the government.
all these powers come from devil fruits the embodiment of the rage of the sea. These are divide into Parcimecia (affects a body in some way or gives non-violent powers), Zoan (animal transformation), and Logia (elementals). there are a few that bridge that divide between types meaning it can act like another.
there are some naturally strong people too which makes it hard to distinguish them out from fruit users.
Franky though is an artificial being as he is a cyborg but with a mostly intact head. He had to fully rebuild himself after getting hit head on by a train although he took a few liberties as he could only get scrap.

One Piece is freaking crazy as far as character designs are concerned. As far as the "Gene Simmons" character is concerned, I think the character is more based off of Tim Curry from "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Personally, I like Carrot that's a were-mink, but I didn't see her featured. To find good videos for her "Carrot transforms into Sulong" and "Sulong Carrot vs Daifuku". I have no doubt you will find her adorable!

We can see it. Not sure when we will start to watch the actual show. It’s a big time investment 😅 but we did a death battle today for One Piece so little by little getting more experience with the anime 🙂

Yeah, the character desig is wacky as hell and we love it for it.
The character design is mostly based on real life people, White beard for example is based on Hulk Hogan, the tutu guy is based on Jim Carrey, the lighting guy who called himself god is based on Eminem, the list goes on, you should react to videos about why people like one piece.

In one piece there are items called devil fruits if you eat one you get superpowers some can let you control elements like lightning, fire, darkness, sand etc. Some let you turn into animals and the others give you something radom like being elastic, turning people into toys etc.
