    Thank you. I was actually scared to start. There are so many people saying their applications were rejected.

    • @onthegoodsideco
      @onthegoodsideco  5 месяцев назад +2

      Right before I applied my cousin also told me that hers was rejected. I have no idea what causes that but I think you need ro apply anyway. Sometimes they can even tell you why your application has been rejected (if it does happen) and then you fix that part and try again. But never be too afraid to try it out yourself!

    Thank you so much for this video, I have been asking everyone thus question, hope you can help.
    I just applied on takealot and they sent me an email requesting for pictures of products I will sell.
    Question: are these the pictures I will strictly need to sell on the platform or are they just requesting for an example?

    • @onthegoodsideco
      @onthegoodsideco  6 месяцев назад +2

      I sent pictures of 1 product and now I sell over 20. And the one I sent is no longer one I sell. I think they just want to see what you intend on selling. Glad you've started! Be open to learning along the way & you'll do great!!

    Heyy. I have 2 questions. 1. Can I drop off on foot? 2. Is the fee estimator not accurate?

    • @onthegoodsideco
      @onthegoodsideco  3 месяца назад

      Yes, if you are near the warehouses but you must learn how to book the appointment. They only allow people who booked the drop off ahead of time. The fee estimator is accurate but the category tree thing they use sometimes doesn't have the accurate labeling and then you need to use one that is similar. For example I had dust plugs made of silicone but could only place it under silicone covers and they are not the same size at all. I have no idea how to fix this but affects he fees. Hope that helps

    Hey sis do you think selling a beverage would do well ? But obviously that would be a seasonal thing if I'm not mistaken but will listing it be ok

    • @onthegoodsideco
      @onthegoodsideco  3 месяца назад +1

      @@Miss_mokhethi I specifically chose things that wouldn't expire so I'm not sure about beverages. However, if you do decide to sell it,check out their rules about that and start with a small sample and use it to learn all your mistakes. So that when you bulk supply for the festive season, you know exactly what to do.

      R2300 (initial stock of 15 items - looking back i should have gone with 10 items) ended up paying roughly 3k in total as there were logistical costs that I wasn't aware of.

      @mariaqumayo9442 hi, mostly stationery. My shop is small mainly because I live outside of Gauteng and CT. So if I wanted to grow it, I would need the infrastructure

    • @onthegoodsideco
      @onthegoodsideco  Месяц назад

      @@cyrilchibambu7424 lol 😂 I kinda get it. The information is available on the marketplace portal for anyone to read through in order to register so if someone needs 1:1 help, you have to charge for it. For example I also teach people how to register a profile on Fivere and Upwork. It requires about 60-90min to do it properly - I charge for that because the information on how to do that is readily available and there's tons of free yt video that show how but if it requires my own personal time, I happily send an invoice 🙂
