I'm not religious, but a church seems to be the most fitting place for this theme.
If I heard that during church service, I think I would start dropping tears. Given her character and what she went through in the game, it's just an automatic reaction.
Aerith's is the most beautiful theme of all of them.

This is so beautiful. I never played Final Fantasy games growing up. The first one I played was Final Fantasy seven remake. It became one of the most beautiful and memorable games I have ever played. Not to mention one of the best soundtracks ever. Stellar blade has some really beautiful songs too. God, I love eastern creators. This entire video is brilliant.

You are amazing Bring me to my childhood so fast! That game had SOoooo Many amazing music numbers Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu were just Amazing.... FF7 was the best I think Because of the Music just did so much heavy lifting for setting the mood and atmosphere in a time when graphics were kind of bad... The Music lives on Decades after and Even though Remake was not a true Remake (Really wish it was) the Music is just so good it lives on in RUclips videos and the Remake even hints of it in future FF titles... But 7 was the GOAT! and I always gush when I hear it!

I would guess, a priori, that if it fits, the source is unimportant. "Without Him" was still in the Baptist hymnal last I saw, even after the way Elvis went out.
And something like "Armour" by VNV Nation--not a CCM act by any means--could probably fit right into a contemporary worship service without anyone being the wiser.
