    Beautiful boat, and a very solid video, answered just about all of my questions. Just curious of two things, do you happen to know what the height from ground to T-top is on your boat on a trailer if you have one? And what’s your top speed with the twin 300’s ? Thank you sir.

    • @NAUTILYFE
      @NAUTILYFE  Год назад +2

      Thanks for the comment glad you enjoyed! We don’t have a trailer, but I had that same question when we were storing at our marina we had a max height of 10’. That included the bunks the boat was on which was about the same height as a trailer would be. My best guess is 10’ or less but do not know for certain.
      We have the stock Yamaha three blade props (23 - 14-3/4) and when flat calm with some trim have hit 68mph at about 5800-5900 RPM. Know guys with 4 blade props hitting well over 70. Time to plane is insane at about 3 seconds out of the hole. Best GPH we have seen in light chop at about 35 mph cruise is around 2.8. When it is calm I have dialed it in around 35mph and getting 3.1-3.3

      Awesome, thank you for all that info. I have a detached garage that I would like to keep it in with an 11’ door. So I need to make sure the hard top would clear the door. One more question, what are you using for transducers? I’m assuming strictly thru hulls because of the twin step bottom. I was curious of how well they read on plane with the first step being so far forward on the boat. The kind of fishing that I do on the Chesapeake, the ability to find fish while on a slow plane speed is paramount. Thanks again.

      @@benjaminnawrocki489 yes I would definitely talk to a local dealer so that we can make sure that it would fit but 11 foot should be no problem. We have a thru hull and a Garmin rear 56-UHD for side vue both work pretty well on plane around 20-30MPH

      Hey, we actually decided to keep the boat! Life has just been getting in the way and haven’t had a chance to update and push out the videos for some content that we’ve made. We have some more stuff coming later this year though potentially!
      I thought I mentioned it somewhere in here. It is Marine Mat installed by an awesome company Freshdecks here in Fort Myers. I’ve tagged them in some of our Instagram posts if you’re looking for someone in this area to do an amazing job. It is 9MM thickness so that we could get the three color combo. The light tan is saddle, slate gray is the accent, and I believe mocha was the grout line dark color, but I’m not entirely sure on that one. We love the marine mat has held up super well. No cracking peeling or anything coming up on two years. We also have no affiliation with them. It’s just what our local installer Freshdecks recommended.

    Can you give me an idea what your fuel burn is? Best cruise, I'm guessing is around 30 mph, 40 mph. I can find the numbers with 250's and a single 425 but nothing with the 300's.

    • @NAUTILYFE
      @NAUTILYFE  Месяц назад

      You are correct. Best we’ve seen is about 2.0-2.4mpg around 35 mph on calmer days. Full out she’s hit 70+ burning around 0.8-1mpg. Don’t do that often unless I am trying to get out of weather, or just well because it’s fun haha. Skipping on top of 1’-2’ chop at around 40-50 right around 1.4-1.8

      @@NAUTILYFE do you know the mpg at 40? I was hoping for better than 2.0. I sold a Contender 32ST with downsizing in mind but I've determined I can't see going below 27'. I was really leaning towards a Yamaha 425 but my mechanic buddy who is a Yamaha fan isn't crazy about the 425. So, I'm back to thinking twin 300's.

    • @NAUTILYFE
      @NAUTILYFE  Месяц назад

      I can honestly say that I really don’t watch it super closely. I’d say on a calm day at 40 probably 1.8-2. If it’s rough 1.4-1.8 ish. Lots of factors to consider as you probably are already aware. Gear, gas, people, weather etc.

    What are the functions of the power pole?

    • @NAUTILYFE
      @NAUTILYFE  Год назад +1

      Hi there thanks for the comment! Power poles are shallow water anchors. You can drop them down and the poles stick into the bottom of the ground and hold the boat in place. It’s a much more stealthy way to stop on a spot and then having to drop a full anchor when fishing and scaring away all the fish. It’s also way better on your back having to haul that thing in every single time lol. If you plan to do any type of fishing in water that is about 8 feet or less (these are 10’ poles but when maxed out don’t hold 100%), I would not order a boat without them! We almost didn’t put them on her boat and I’m so glad we did!

      Thanks for the comment! Love the boat had it out over the weekend running 68 in light chop through the Caloosahatchee smiling like a kid the whole time. Think I even said, man I friggin love this boat. One item that did come up over the weekend:
      my wife had her Stanley cup in the cup holder, and when she went to pull it out, the cupholder light was stuck to the bottom and pulled the wires through. Not a big deal, but it uncovered another major issue when I went to fix it. When I opened up the electronics compartment in the console and pulled the wires back through I noticed there were no hoses connected to the bottom of the cupholders. I went back to the helm to looked down because maybe they just don’t drain. sure enough could see daylight straight through the drain holes. When I went back into the electronics compartment, BOTH mind you, not one, but both of the drain hoses were just laying in there, and I could see a puddle of water sitting at the bottom of the electronics compartment… Not sure if they were never attached from the start, or if they fell off overtime. Just a reminder that it is a production boat so plan on things like this to happen and check connectors, etc often. Used some silicone sealant to put the hoses back in place. All and all still love the boat but as mentioned fit and finish is to be desired. Good luck!

      @@NAUTILYFECongrats on the baby boy. I have three toddlers myself and it’s one of the reasons I’m looking at the 2700 CB. I want something to take the family to the lake with, but also be able to run offshore. Have you had the boat out in any rough seas and if so, how does it handle?

    • @NAUTILYFE
      @NAUTILYFE  9 месяцев назад

      @hdaerial5823 that was one of the reasons why we picked the 2700. The forward bow seating is 6 to 10 inches more recessed than even some of the more expensive brands like Everglades for boats in the same class. Tidewater did a great job even on the 2500 it wasnt an afterthought and is super comfortable. Takes about 30 seconds to pull all cushions and back rests out and you can fish 4 to 5 guys in the front alone comfortably. I know guys that have crossed from Miami to the Bahamas in 4 to 5 foot seas. It’s definitely not comfortable and not what this boat is made for but it’ll do it. It’ll run in 1 to 2 foot chop pretty comfortably and dry too depending on how wind is blowing. That’s another thing that Tidewater is known for is the enormous bow flair. If you’re planning to have it in the lake, you’ll be able to run fully loaded down upper 60s no problem at all it is an absolute blast. we have also had it in about 18 inches of water with the trolling motor floating no problem so it can do pretty much anything you’re looking for it to do.
      If you shoot me an email, I can send you the listing on Facebook marketplace and you can check out all the pictures. It’s pristine. Unfortunately we do not have a trailer but our boat dealer is willing to sell one close to cost if we find a buyer that needs one.
