Wow! First time I ever heard this lol really shows how much time, dedication, and hard work they put into their band hearing this. Altars of Madness is an absolute masterpiece imo. Nothing that spectacular is handed to you on a silver platter
The vinyl I have, those recordings are from 1984-1986, prior to Abominations of Desolation (1986). The line-up changed a few times as well. As for the last album, it has some good songs on it, but overall, it was a disappointment. I seen them on that tour, they were killer, but you can tell David Vincent's heart isn't in it no more. I hear Steve Tucker is coming back and Morbid Angel is looking at putting out another album with that line-up, damn killer.
according to the sleeve in the CD 1985. And like Alan said they recorded quite a few demos in that period, with Bamber andWard on vocals, and later Mike Browining doing double duty on drums and vocals which are recorded on the 1985 - 1986 demos and the Äbominations of Desolation" demo compilation.

Trey was not happy when this got released later on in their career.
Oof...Yeeeaaaahhhh...Kinda seems like they were going for a death-metal-meets-Mercyful-Fate, kinda vibe I guess? I feel Trey on this one, yikes. lol
