They're experienced singers who should know how to capture the mood of the song and act accordingly. John has always been very much in love with his wife 'jilly'. They are old friends with a lot in common. They're a similar age and both born in England but raised in Australia. Both with careers that began to bloom in Melbourne. Both have been in and out of fashion. They have sung together for charity quite often. John has been WAY luckier in love. Melbourne hearts are with them both. Such a sweet song for them to have sung together. Great friends..and that chemistry, onstage, yeah.. consummate performance from two of our greatest singers! Thanks for sharing that. May Olivia R.I.P. She will be missed so very much.

Greetings from New Zealand .Love your reactions and look forward to them . You’re awesome so don’t listen to any naysayers. You do you! Two Aussie legends who are also good friends . This was a lovely performance from them both when they were about 50 years old and they’re still awesome now , over 20 years later !
While Australia is huge land size wise....it is small population wise and has a closer knit community with singers and celebrities...this has the effect of many of them knowing each other as actual friends as opposed to the US where there are more famous people and while many may know of or have seen other celebs, don't know or are not friends with eachother. It's just a closer knit community.
Wow that is sooooo good..... Perfectly complimenting each other..... And to address your wonder at his awesome perfect voice and range.... well we grew up listening to him through his career and just knew him originally as Johnny Farnham..... and that's just how he sings..... so I didn't realise how damn good he was until the album Whispering Jack came out. And now to see him over 70 and can still belt it out almost as good as ever is fantastic
So good to hear John and Olivia together again. They’ve been friends and worked together since late 60’s. You should hear more of Olivia’s stuff. Love your reactions and your pointing at the beginning. 😁
The wonderful thing (well, one of the wonderful things among so many) about John, is he is a true gentleman... he's one of the nicest men around. He's been married to Jillian for ever!!! Such a beautiful couple... And the way he respects and interacts with his audience is magic. I was at a concert of his about 10 years ago and there was a line of people on BOTH sides of the stage and he was bending down from the stage, giving every one of them a hug or shaking their hand WHILST STILL SINGING, not dropping a note. A true musical magician! An interesting thing about John is he had been a heavy smoker since he was 14 years old with a brief break in the 90's but recently gave them up again after a few health scares... Stay safe John... we all want ya healthy!!! Oh, and don't stress about the pointing man, it's all about context!!! :-) Great videos, keep up the amazing work!
Love this. John and Olivia are so much more than entertainers. They are embedded in the fabric of Australian history. I have been to countless concerts and those of other performers come nowhere near the absolute enjoyment of John’s concerts - over 50 years of pure enjoyment. Thank you for recognising him. 🌟
I love this. I was actually at that concert. It was called "The Main Event" and it was the best ever. There was John, Olivia and Anthony Warlow. The three of them had such a chemistry. They clowned around, you could see they're all great mates. Olivia said she's always wanted to sing with John Farnham. You've already done a reaction to John and Anthony about a week ago. You're spot on with your comments. Don't take any notice of your critics. You've got a lot of people following you!
Liv and John has worked quite a bit together as had John & Ant. This concert series was, however, the first time Liv & Ant had ever performed together. How she kept a straight face with those two unrepentent crack-ups is quite remarkable !! What is indisputable was that putting these 3 great artists together didn't just "work", the chemistry absolutely clicked on all levels and this series of concerts were absolutely memorable.
Growing up as a Teenager, I've always admired the Strength and Talents of our Aussie Musicians that strive to entertain us with their Raw Power and Tenacity. Johnny Farnham was one my favourite singers and performers ever ! Loving your Reactions to these talented people , in our Awesome Country. Keep on Keeping it Real Nick !👍 🎶🎵 Cheers Brus 👏
Like John, Olivia was born in England and discovered young. She came to Australia and became beloved by everyone. Had 5 US Number One songs and won 4 Grammys. She's now recognised with the UK's top honour as Dame Olivia Newton-John in honour of her musical achievements and environmental activism. These two have a 4 decades long friendship and great respect for each other.
They did a concert series bk in 2016 around Australia Nick so this was from one of those concerts.... By memory it was called "Two Strong hearts" tour... They've been close friends for many many years, as they are about the same age (livvy was a year older).. they truly are phenomenal together ❤💖
John and Livvie have been friends for decades... this concert was in 1998, six years after her first battle with breast cancer. Having her on stage for The Main Event with Anthony Warlow must have been very emotional for all of them. She has since battled it twice (2017 and currently is dealing once again) We love Liv and we love their friendship even more. Thank you for featuring all of our legendary artists Nick...we're pretty protective of them but have no problem sharing them with you 💖🐨
Both Olivia and Anthony Warlow are cancer survivors.............we nearly lost her a few years before this so it makes those friendships of decades even closer.
So happy to be listening again to these many artist through your ears! One thing stands out too, every time- how the backing bands and orchestras are world class! Which is funny to look back on. Many USA music bigs used to really run us down. They would land with huge band numbers and then get blown away by what they heard. Local music people ( including myself) fought long hours to put a quota in place. The put-downs were horrible. But it was Frank Sinatra in his older tours, who really started everything rolling. He could not believe it and ironically, took musicians back to the States with him! He raved on air and slowly our great music standard was trusted. Every track you’re playing is so world standard I think. So great to follow your site❣️Love how you “get” how good our land down under was mskin’ great legends!
The concert was "The Main Event". Just a great show in the round featuring John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Anthony Warlow. It was a classy event where they all sang separately and with each other.
Olivia has a beautiful voice. Check out her vocals on a song called Totally Devoted’ from Grease… 👍 She started out doing Country music with great songs like ‘Let Me Be There’. All good stuff…
Also look at some of her latest virtually unknown songs featured in a movie/tv series Sordid Lives. She plays a bar singer called Bitzy Mae and the best songs are Slow Burn and Its None of My Business. Some would like You Look Like a Dick to Me. The videos may not appeal to every one, but it was a sordid comedy.
Ohhhh Livy, you break my heart. I can’t believe your beautiful soul is no longer with us. Tears are streaming for you both. The chemistry you both have is palpable!

Such a sweet song for them to have sung together. Great friends..and that chemistry, onstage, yeah.. consummate performance from two of our greatest singers! Thanks for sharing that. May Olivia R.I.P. She will be missed so very much.
Love your reactions. I realise we almost take these beautiful singers for granted here. We have been blessed to have had them so long and they shared their God given talents with us.
Just beautiful 😍. Olivia and John have been good friends for years and worked together on a number of occasions.
Stunning stunning stunning…i got goosebumps….i saw this live in Perth and the chemistry was off the charts!!!
So so proud of our Aussies❤
Many Many times they sang together and she would laugh and help him remember the lyrics..
Kia Ora! I’m also watching and a subscriber from the Mighty Waikato!
Chahoo! Another kiwi here, watching from Germany, and loving these reactions. Especially anything with Farney in it!
My Aussie GenX heart is warmed by your appreciation of the way they sang this song. Beautiful ❤🇦🇺
Olivia has an amazing voice too...two of them together mwah chefs kiss
Both consummate artists. Just beautiful 😍 beautiful 🤩 beautiful 🌟🌟🌟❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Your channel. You do what you want. Someone don't like it, toughnutts.
Love this collaboration with John and Libby
John and Olivia have been singing together on and off together since they were kids.
And everyone loves these two.
The love and respect runs deep with these two. Love them together.
Love this. John and Olivia are so much more than entertainers. They are embedded in the fabric of Australian history.
I have been to countless concerts and those of other performers come nowhere near the absolute enjoyment of John’s concerts - over 50 years of pure enjoyment.
Thank you for recognising him. 🌟
John and Olivia are lifelong friends. Such a beautiful song sung with real emotion.
I forgot how beautiful this song was sung by these two. I have tears in my eyes and don't know why as I listen to this.
Keep on Keeping it Real Nick !👍 🎶🎵
Cheers Brus 👏
Two bloody Icons from our country down under. Couldn't get any better.Love Love Love 💕💕💕
Love this performance! Oh and Olivia can sing!!!
Is this request about John Farnham or Oliver Newton John. You appear to be an avid fan of Olivier Newton John.
@@whiteapple2313 Not an avid fan of Olivia. Just providing some information.
@@whiteapple2313 Both????
I love it how much you point out the phrasing ( like ‚best‘) . Almost nobody does
They did a concert series bk in 2016 around Australia Nick so this was from one of those concerts....
By memory it was called "Two Strong hearts" tour...
They've been close friends for many many years, as they are about the same age (livvy was a year older).. they truly are phenomenal together ❤💖
😂 your reaction to Olivia :) yeah she’s great
John and Livvie have been friends for decades... this concert was in 1998, six years after her first battle with breast cancer. Having her on stage for The Main Event with Anthony Warlow must have been very emotional for all of them. She has since battled it twice (2017 and currently is dealing once again) We love Liv and we love their friendship even more. Thank you for featuring all of our legendary artists Nick...we're pretty protective of them but have no problem sharing them with you 💖🐨
I could not of said it better myself
Both Olivia and Anthony Warlow are cancer survivors.............we nearly lost her a few years before this so it makes those friendships of decades even closer.
@@bigs1546 True that - we are very lucky that both are still with us
This is my favourite John farnham song 🎵 ❤️ I find this just so beautiful & the emotion in this song 🎵 is truely beautiful
I love the finger point at the camera intro, don’t you dare change it WE LOVE IT!!!, it’s actually becoming iconic at this point… ❤️😎👌
Totally agree!
Your homework this weekend is to experience all things ONJ. She's Australia's treasure
That's a 'Ive loved and respected you my whole Life' kiss.
Watching this today after she passed away yesterday, so sad, they were very close friends
Amazing that best friends sing like this together. Please keep loving Australian music and make a career of it.
Amen about the chills.
when John Farnham sings it solo it it absolutely beautiful
The concert was "The Main Event". Just a great show in the round featuring John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Anthony Warlow. It was a classy event where they all sang separately and with each other.
I've never heard this before. I've heard John sing it of course, but not this duet, so thank you for bringing that to my life.
Olivia has a beautiful voice. Check out her vocals on a song called Totally Devoted’ from Grease… 👍 She started out doing Country music with great songs like ‘Let Me Be There’. All good stuff…
Wow, you're as old as me. :)
Two of the Greatest Australian Singers EVER.... In ONE space... I can' understand your confusion
You are adorable.
Granny from Australia
I’ve seen this so many times and it STILL gives me goosebumps 💖
THEY HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER SINCE THEY WERE VERY YOUNG. THEY WERE VERY CLOSE.
RIP Olivia. Another Aussie treasure gone today. We love you Olivia.
Woohoo!! Finally another of my fav songs of his and time of my day... 🙏🇦🇺❤️
Beautiful both of them. And what a lot of people didn't know she was in tremendous pain from the cancer. Allways in my heart❤️❤️
I just LOVE how many Aussie artists you are reacting to ♥♥♥
Please pray for John...yesterday an 11 hour difficult surgery for oral cancer. Australians are wanting him to pull through. A long road ahead. We all love him so much.
