Great job so far on the refit! I love teak decks as well, but the screws are a constant cause of concern (especially with wood cored decks). Every one is a potential source of a leak into the core.
Thank you JimR. Yes, the screwed on decks are definitely more problematic than the glued on type. Unfortunately that was typical for boats built back then. On top of that, we have balsa cored deck..
I wonder why someone hasn't tried using Thompsons or another brand of water sealer for the teak decks to provide protection and keep them looking like new?? I have used it on outdoor wooden decks and the boards used on a trailer to haul cars etc with great results.. I know the teak needs maintenance but it's so beautiful when taken care of. .
Im not really sure if I follow where you are right now? Are you in UK, or in Poland or where? :) the engine is somewhere else.. ? Finding it hard to get a grip of everything :D nice work btw!
This is definitely UK 🧐 unless it looks like we took the boat with us on a road trip to Poland. We could only fit the engine on the back of the van 🚐 and it’s in Poland, where we left it.
@@sailingsqualo I thought so but I was so confused when I saw a video of you heading to Poland and in the next you were somewhere and I did not see you "get back".. so I did not know if you recorded that before/after the other video or something :) Maybe just me beeing confused overall. Haha.
We permanently live in England, so now this is our home and that’s where our day job is based..so no. That wouldn’t work. But if we did live in Poland, the overall cost of the refit would be substantially smaller.
Robota wre i aż miło popatrzeć bo widac coraz więcej włożonej pracy ... juz nie moge się doczekac nastepnego odcinka 🛥🚢⛵🚤⚓

Your rudder is like a baby, it needs a cushion. Too happy to have Squalo inside
It is indeed 😊
Swietna robota! Podziwiam✨
Dzięki Stefan 😁

Surely it would have been cheaper for you to go home and refit the boat in Poland?

Nice one.. Excellent teamwork dropping the rudder.. only Adam Malysz could have done a better job... 😉🙂
😂 that’s right!
Nat is beginning to beguile me, and I don't know why...
