- Recently Carmelo Anthony retired, sooo a debate has sparked if the Denver Nuggets should retire 15 for Melo or does Jokic deserve it more? I had a look at all time numbers, accolades and discuss the overall impact of what each great has done for the Nuggets and comapre.

jokic is abt to win them a chip tho, i love melo but he was the reason the nuggets never made the finals. they had a good enough team but he couldn’t get it done
honestly disgusting that this is even a conversation 2x MvP 1x Finals MvP 2 WCF appearnces first ever chip and finals appearance he leads them alltime in assist rebounds and when its all set and dont 10 year from now hes also gonna lead them most likely in points and maybe even steals and i could also see him add another ring and mvp making him a top 15 player alltime easily

I'm not saying Melo's number can't get retired. But Jokic is a two-time MVP and just won them a chip. Melo was an inefficeint volume scorer superstar. They are simply on different levels.

100% Jokic is already leaps and bounds ahead of melo and a Denver all time great with heaps of his career left. Curious what Denver will do, whether they retire both or not. Not looking good for melo

easy answer, jokic, he has 2 MVPs (debatable for 3) and reached the finals being one of the best players of the NBA, there is no debate who is even better at this point, and he is even on half of his carrer. You are comparing a highlight pure scoring against one of the best players with many many more skills, he is just better

Jokic was robbed of his 3rd MVP. It's very likely that this Nuggets team can win multiple championships. I don't think I've ever ever seen a team with both forwards and the center all being 6' 10" or taller. Their size is outrageous, and it shows up huge in a 7 game series.

Man; Melo is an all time great, Jokic is going to go down as an all time great; put them both in the rafters. Also; those Nuggets teams were never getting over the hump with their combination of bad front office and George Karl being his coach; the new era nuggets built one of the best teams possible around Joker, plus Mike Malone; who is easily a top five coach in the league --- whose definisive focus helps Jokic and the nuggets counter their weaknesses.

So even with the statistical comparison, if you run the numbers by per 36 instead of per game, Jokic comes out even more ahead.
