They also did very well in album sales for a rookie gg group that's NOT in the big 3. U can't just compare their sales to Itzy or other big 3 groups or senior groups. One thing for sure they are doing much better than any of post-produce groups rn except Izone of course.

@MyGaming Den they’re unlucky because they got all the fame in a group that’s disbandment is inevitable. Most people who get into a pd group don’t manage to keep the fame and success in their future endeavours. Very few of I.O.I and Wanna One managed to keep their momentum after the groups finished
@MyGaming Den Hitomi was already very popular back in AKB48. She isn't Senbatsu level popular but she's in one of the most popular teams of AKB48 and is a lot more well known than plenty of the girls even on her team.
I'm not even a big kpop fan and haven't been since before produce 101 was even thing, but looking at the track record, they are going to disband even if they get an extra year because the girls companies don't want to miss out too much. Once they do, if the jp girls go back to their groups they'll suffer a slight loss in the international and korean markets butoverall that won't matter too much because the jp market is massive. The Korean girls, no matter where they go will always be compared to IZ*One. Any new groups will always be compared and people will talk about how much they miss IZ*One because IZ*One is how everyone got into those idols and they'll lose their momentum because fans will be too busy missing IZ*One to get into them properly.
I'm hoping to god that none of them get put into existing groups because that will fuck things up for both parties, but then any new groups likely won't be released soon enough to ride the IZ*One wave.
@MyGaming Den She wasn't overly popular but she had some popularity behind her. Heck she ranked in one of the Senbatsu's, even if it was only 82nd. Plenty of the AKB girls would love that! She also is part of two teams which gives her more chances to grow up and more.
Yena joining Everglow is a bad idea becaise it'll negatively effect both her and Everglow. People are already pissy about whoever it is getting so many lines in Everglow, and with Yena added people are going to be pissy about Yena getting too many lines while others will be pissy about her not getting enough. Everglow already has a strong rap line too, and f she gets rap lines people will complain that there's too much rap in Everglow, if she doesn't get enough rap lines people will claim that she should be rapping. It'll lead to so much stress for her to deal with, and I don't wish that on anyone. A lot of people who stan Everglow as it is will leave because they think it's unfair Yena gets added, the new fans they get from IZ*One will give them some fans but a lot won't like it
The best option for Yena is to pull a Chungha go solo as she is such a well rounded idol, but that's even harder for idols to do. So many idols try to go solo and there isn't a big enough market for solo. On top of that, to try to ride the hypewave from IZ*One she'd have to debut within a year.
@MyGaming Den Yeri joined 7 months after red velvet debuted and joined for their first comeback and she still gets an insane amount of criticism from ‘fans’. Yena would be joining at least 2 years and four comebacks later when Everglow have really managed to establish themselves.
@MyGaming Den Everglow are from a Chinese company, and I’m not sure you realise this but Chinese company’s give very few shits about album sales. I’m in China and so few groups have notable album sales, everything is singles and such and Yibo is making hella bank from it! Although Everglow are a kpop group and Yuehua are trying to get more used to the Korean markets, they likely still aren’t used to pushing albums. Not to mention the massive international audience that can’t afford $25 shipping. They’ll never have big album sales because Yuehua are Chinese and give 0 shits about album sales

Theres a trainee named Kang Damin in Produce 48 that was with Hwang Soyeon (girl at 7:34) at the time and it’s rumored she moved in with Starship and a few days ago she took down her Instagram and RUclips channel.... I think she is starting to get ready for debut soon with Izone’s Wonyoung and Yujin after Izone disbands ?? I saw her dance academy ‘Heart’ a fans comment on their RUclips channel around a year and half ago that said “Kang Damin joined Starship!!!” And they acknowledged it with a heart. Oop if it’s true we gonna have a starship girl group in the future in 2021 or maybe early 2022 with these 3 girls plus more.... let’s see what happens (P.S I saw on Naver someone make a video about it like this one and they stated Damin did join starship plus Instagram fans all circulated it then her dance academy ‘Hearted’ the comment) hmmmmmm....
