It would be great if Pentax joined M43! They could make a camera with character, they'd immediately have a huge library of lenses available for it plus they'd have their own. Those already invested in M43 would be tempted to try Pentax. Come on, make it happen!
Hoya considered m43 when they were looking into mirrorless. Obviously they went with the Q system. The president of Hoya at the time thought the Q system would be a big hit and help make the PENTAX Imaging Systems division a nice profit. They sold the business to Ricoh just before the launch of the Q system. The idea of mirrorless at the time was the smaller the better, which helps explain why they went with a compact sensor. It's interesting to note that Asahi Optical Co (PENTAX) looked into a similar idea of a mirrorless compact many years earlier before mirrorless was a thing. Talk about a missed opportunity! Then again, the technology just wasn't there to make something good at the time and likely would have failed.
L mount alliance would be a nice option for Pentax to start a mirrorless system. Market for M43 is not big enough for another player that’s just good at shooting stills.
Michael, absolutely agree with you. Pentax has all technology - ibis, weather sealing, AF, processing units, all there. Just make one camera with two lenses and DA to m43 AF capable adapter, it will be a good start. Now Pentax loyalists are lost. K1 is great camera but is not competitive enough to get enough critical mass of users. DSLR as segment for non professional photographers is good as dead. Create new system with new mount? - no way! in existing world it will crazy idea. L-MOUNT? Better but price point will be crucial, not sure Pentax can attract enough people. m43 would be an excellent opportunity, as long time Pentax user, I would really consider m43 camera by Pentax just with Olympus glass ;) Olympus Pro primes are incredible!
The first thing I said when I bought my first m43 system back in 2012 was that the only way Pentax could crawl out of the hole they are into and once again be a major player was if they join m43. Imagine all those amazing limited lenses made specifically and natively for the m43 mount.
Wow, funny to see this pop up. A friend of mine bought some pentax-110 lenses just a month ago (the 18mm, the 24mm and the 50mm) with the intention of having me design and 3D-print adapters for them. I printed adapters both for MFT and Leica-M (to use on the APS-C Ricoh GXR), and can happily say that the lenses actually cover APS-C just fine! I'll be uploading the adapter designs to Thingiverse for everyone to use for free when I'm finished polishing them up.
They’re actually not too bad priced. I picked up a couple sets of Auto 110s for about $100 each. One set was the camera, auto winder, 18mm, 50mm, and 70mm lenses. The second set was a LNIB complete set that had camera, auto winder, 18mm, 24mm, 50mm lenses, with all of their filters and hoods, wrist strap, camera and flash pouches too. I ended up selling off the extra camera winder an extra lenses for about $100 anyway in order to pick up the 18mm Pan Focus lens. The 70mm and 18mm Pan Focus lenses are expansive so if you can find those in a set online it’s worth it.
As a Pentaxian who moved into the M43 world, I definitely support the idea of a Pentax M43 camera! I adapt my Canon FD 55mm f/1.2 and FD 50mm f/1.4SSC on to my GX9. I even use a focal reducer, so you can figure out how much light that 55mm 1:1.2 throws on the tiny sensor. Other lenses I adapt are my old Tamron adaptall-2 zooms, with excellent results from the 80-210mm 103A and the 28-80mm SP 27A, a Helios 44K-4 MC 58mm 1:2 and a SMC Pentax 55mm 1:1.8 K. Great results with all of them! Thanks for this video!
I'm in Calgary and I have a 70mm if you want to try it. I had the whole collection of primes and the 70mm is the outlier; it shoot unexpectedly well next to the the arguably awesome Oly 75. The other thing to note is these lenses work well on APS-C since they give character shots anyway.
I have these lenses, and Lumix GM5. They form a very good, fun combos! Sharpness are acceptable, contrast are adequate. Can't stop smiling when using them!
As a recent OMD shooter, coming from a Pentax K20D I’d love to see that. The two champions of weather sealed cameras is my thing for outdoor photography in the mountains.
Been shooting 110 lenses on my olympus for years now, works great, very soft but prints well. would totally buy a digital Pentax 110 camera (with a m43 sensor) in a heartbeat.
I think that Pentax entered the M/43 Consortium then it could be beneficial for both Pentax, as well as for M/43. They could bring bodies like what Olympus did by making their OM-styled cameras. Imagine a M/43 Pentax modeled after a K1000, that would sell like hot cakes, and would certainly open up a lot of possibilities if they decided to make it a hybrid camera like the GH5 or the EM-1 Mark III.
I have collected a full set of these lenses (and I have the camera also and have shot 110 in it) and use them on my Panasonic G85 occasionally -- yes, they are not as great quality as my native Panasonic lenses or my adapted vintage full-frame lenses *BUT* considering how small they are, they work very well. And as you said, they have a unique character -- I especially like them when shooting video.
Pentax Q with an electronic viewfinder is what we need. For the Pentax QS-1, I bought all of the Auto 110 lenses and the results are great. Because the lenses are not sharp, no need to go to Micro 4/3, I think, though there is of course a significant crop factor on the 1/1.7 sensor. As to the suggestion that Pentax create a camera designed to take these lenses, Pentax quit the Q one model too early as that viewfinder is essential for focusing with manual lenses (for those of us who don't like focusing a handheld camera on a screen, with or without a loupe). So if this thread lobby's Pentax, count me in.

How about doing a shootout between some companies’ early 50mm and their latest ones? Canon and Nikon both have some legendary rangefinder lenses from the 50s. Leica goes back before that.
That was fun! Now, the question that I have been asking for a long time now is, why are modern digital lenses so huge!?? Just take a look at the current FF 35 and 50mm lenses. They are humungous. That's why I continue to use MFT cameras and lenses and leave my Nikon D750 at home when I'm out and about. The FF system is simply too big and heavy to lug around for a day's walking in the hills or even in the city. Come on all your manufacturers, let's see better but smaller lenses.

One of the incredible benefits of mirrorless cameras is their ability to use almost any adapted lens via converter with a longer flange distance than the mirrorless camera has. I would love it if you guys would do more of this with really, really old interesting/unique lenses. There are a few videos on RUclips with 100 to 140 year old lenses. How cool is that? With your guys style with making videos both entertaining and informative, I think it would be a fantastic idea to dive into. Get super creative and have fun with it while educating viewers about lens designs and their characteristics. Just a thought but one worth consideration.
Great Video :-) I love shooting with vintage lenses. I’ve a collection of Zeiss Lenses made in East Germany in the 1970s and some made in the Soviet Union.
The Pentax 110 lens are very sharp when you use them at f/5.6-F/8 but because the iris/shutter is in the camera body so it is why you need an adapter with an iris /diaphragm to get the best out of them. I used a lot my Pentax Auto 110 super with Kodachrome 64 , Verichrome pan B/W film and Fujifilm and Kodak color film and printed many 20X24 inches prints from those tiny negatives with amazing results. I was working in a professional photo lab printing very large format prints and enjoyed printing large prints from my 110 negative to impress my fellow photographers with my tiny SLR. Today i am making an adapter with an iris to use them on my Canon EOS M camera series. To get the best of them make sure to use a lens hood and matt paint on the inside of the adapter to cut the flare.

I love adapted lenses its what got me into film photography. Definitely try Pentax Super-Takumars, which film makers have already found as great lenses. Also would have been nice to see some video from Jordan with the 110 lens (I know the wide open aperture might have been an issue for shutter speeds).
Evidently, the aperture was in the Auto 110 body and when you use them with these adapters and no aperture, they are actually brighter than 2.8 and not as sharp as they could be. One company makes an adapter with an adjustable aperture and it does seem to make a difference but it costs much more than $10. I'll agree with what other people have said- lenses like these were made in a time where technical perfection wasn't the main goal and they have some great character to them. Even the zoom is pleasant to use.
I got a mint Nikon FM body, Nikkor 50mm 1.8, Nikkor 105mm 2.5, Sigma 75-250mm zoom with a bunch of accessories for $149. Use all the lenses on my digital Nikon system and my Olympus m4/3 system and have gotten back into shooting film as well. Even took the FM on my vacation and shot 7 rolls of film. Thoroughly enjoyed the step back in time.
Adapt some old Minolta glass!!! Rokkor-PF 135mm 2.8 is honestly my favorite portrait lens. Just please adapt all 35mm format lenses on to fill frame cameras. The edges are where a lot of the character is at.
I think micro 4/3 brands should start making the most ridiculous tiny bodies they can fit the sensor. Ricoh GR III has an aps-c sensor with IBIS, Im sure someone can make an outrageous small camera with a micro 4/3 sensor. I think the novelty itself would be enough to sell some cameras.
Great video! In case anyone is curious, the 24mm lens in this family will work fine on a Canon M-series mirrorless camera. I have one on my M5 and there is full coverage of the sensor, with mildly dark corners. At shutter speeds of over 1/1500 or so, there is a pronounced vignette or dark gradient effect on just one side of the sensor, but I hear this is common for ECFS shutter system cameras. If you are having problems with infinity focus, know that this lens was never designed to be very sharp at long distances, but it helps to check that your lens is fully seated in the adapter. (I have a Fotasy PTX110-EOS M adapter that I got for about $15 shipped.) Overall this is an extremely fun lens that does create decent separation/bokeh when shooting closer to a subject, almost as a portrait lens. It can be very sharp in the center of the frame. Thanks to its very small size, I can shove my APS-C camera into my jacket pocket on my way out the door, for spur-of-the-moment street shooting. Thanks to this video, I have just hunted up the other two lenses on eBay before the prices go up!
Fun video! I have all Pentax 110 lenses and I have tested them all on M4/3. It was fun but I won’t be using them again. They’re actually not very good lenses. The 70mm is the best of them and the 20-40 is by far the worst of them.
Used all of the kit when new, a joy to use and produced lovely Kodachrome slides. The top end 110 format was also supported by Canon and Minolta but with much more conventional cameras. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
If your doing videos on adapting lens, what about the classic Olympus Pen series lens on APS-C or M4/3. Also, what about looking into the newer speed-boosters, are they really any good? I shoot a lot of film on Canon FD glass and was curious if the new Metabones adapters are something fun to mess around with.
Not sure if there's an episode in this or not, but the funkiest lenses I've adapted are the 35, 50 and 100mm Cintagon lenses that go on my mid 1950s Argus C44R. They have the coolest chrome design, although I don't know that the performance matches the look. They're famous for their complicated bayonet mount. I say "adapted," but actually, since there's no adapter, I instead held the lens up against a Minolta to micro 4/3 adapter, which was about right. Not having three hands, I found it difficult to hold the camera and the lens and focus precisely, but I got close.
My very first camera i had as a teenager was a Pentax and would love to see them make a tiny digital ILC. I'd buy it asap. Pentax made me fall in love with photography. BTW, great fun video. Keep up the fantastic work and dont stop slipping a joke here and there in youre reviews!
I've strapped a Minolta 45mm 2.0 and 58mm 1.4 to my Fuji GFX. Sure, the image quality is definitely not there but it's fun and the results are just...unique.
I have the same set of lenses - fyi you can buy an adapter that has an iris built in so you can stop down. Also watch out on the adapters, the Fotasy one I bought has a pretty huge light leak around the lokcing pin. You can fix with a long thin strip of 2 sided velcro, but just be aware.
Got a Pentax 110 and an E-M1, so looks like I'll be getting an adapter!!! And, if Pentax ever came out with a digital 110 camera, I'd buy it in a heartbeat :D
Got the 18 and the 50mm and an adapter to E-mount after watching that video from Caleb some time ago. They are indeed fun to use. Liking the idea of Pentax releasing a mirrorless body for these lenses and maybe a couple of new ones.
For the Pentax 110 lenses, I think that you can stop down the aperture with an insertable disk like the Lensbaby kit of removable magnetic disks. Old Bolex movie camera lenses with a D-mount adapter work on small sensor mirrorless. The original 8MP Ricoh GR Digital is fun in monochrome and the modular Ricoh GXR with interchangeable lens/sensor kits is built like a tank.
I had never heard of these until a few years ago when I found the 18mm lens for 3 euros in a local thrift shop, and just took the gamble on it. The adapter to sony was 4 times the money. It does fully cover aps-c, though the corners are very weak. It's a fun toy and the smallest lens I own.
I've been playing with some Industar M39 lenses with an adapter on my EM-1mII. A $10 M39/m43 opens up a world of fun. Definitely gives an interesting look that's fun. And the Indistar lenses are full manual so you can adjust the aperture (no electronics, of course).
I don't know about any particularly interesting lenses to adapt, but you know what everyone has forgotten about? the Nikon 1 series. Their only real fault was being too expensive. The idea of a compact camera with a good sensor and interchangeable lenses wasn't a bad idea, I think. It just needed to be marketed differently, and definitely sold cheaper. The same goes for the Pentax Q series.
I used to have an Olympus E510 and E3 with grip. I had the 50mmf2 macro 11-22f2.8 and 12-60f2,8-4 but I also had tons of M42 lenses with the adapter. Best lens I have ever used was the LEICA SUMMICRON-M 50mm f/2, using it on the E3 was obviously 100mm equivalence. This lens I bought for about £400 and now I looked at the prices and they about £1000.
I remember seeing a Pentax Auto 110 and all its lens collection inside a display cabinet at a photo or electronics shop back in the late 70s when they were new! I was around 8 at the time, and really wanted them. But alas beyond my parents price range.
Despite the lack of sharpness, which wasn't really apparent anyway, there were some great shots there. I'm currently going through some serious GAS with vintage niftys, specifically super Taks, Canon FD and Rokkor. Would love to see a nifty fifty shootout among these lenses on a FF digital (obviously I can and will do this myself but I'd like to see your take on them).
I bought the same set of lens ad a adapter for my Pentax Q10 some time ago - due to quality and lack of aperture I already have sold it again - My fency tele adapter solution is a K-Adapter and the Pentax DA40XS (from the K01) which on the q10 ia an equivalent of app 330mm/2.8 - on MFT it would be eq. 80/2.8
Would love to see the video output of these lenses on a G85, G9, or Bolex D16. Pentax won't join M4/3, it's too "video" for the Luddites on the Pentax Forum. And I say that as someone who love K & P67 lenses on cinema cameras, and owns multiple Pentax bodies.
M39 adapted lenses would be interesting since they were designed for a short flange distance resulting in a small adapter. Plus they cover full frame and the adapter comes very cheap.
There are some small Russian cine lenses for 16mm film (basically equivalent to 110 or m4/3) with the Kiev-16u lens mount with are easily adaptable to MFT-cameras 12, 20, 40 and 50 mm all in f2 (with aperture). Also, a 50mm f1.2 (no aperture) Russian cinema projector lens, for the same Russian 16mm film, which makes gorgeous pictures with stunning bokeh, but it is more difficult to adapt/use.
That was fun. Great idea. More of this fun of photography stuff please. How about how to use a Land camera with Instax film? Adapted old medium or large format lenses on Fuji MF? Shoot out with a local professional using entry level whatever?
It would be cool if Pentax revisited the Q line - I unfortunately heard about them after they had disappeared then became a cult hit. I would even settle for a 1 inch sensor like the Samsung NX mini. Shame you guys didn’t use these baby lenses with the GM5, that would have been one compact kit
What I'd love to see is some old Meyer-Optik glass adapted/speedboosted onto mirrorless - I have a Primotar 135 3.5 personally and absolutely adored the look of it when shooting on a Fuji system, as well as a Zeiss Planar 50 1.8 from the 70s. Now with the X-T4 having IBIS, and potentially speedboosting these lenses, it might be the perfect time for some manual glass, SOOC jpeg shooting. Just as well on a PEN-F or E-M body, fwiw. Would love to see that.
Would be cool to see some of the old Soviet lenses adapted to the newer mirrorless bodies. Like a Helios 44-2 58mm F/2 on a Nikon Z body using focus peaking.
Pentax and Fuji all day... the highlights for me from my collection of 35 Pentax lenses are the m-series 28mm f2 and 40mm f2.8, but the SMC early k series 85mm f1.8 or the SMC takumar 35mm 3.5... all day.

The Pentax 110 lens are very sharp when you use them at f/5.6-F/8 but because the iris/shutter is in the camera body so it is why you need an adapter with an iris /diaphragm to get the best out of them. I used a lot my Pentax Auto 110 super with Kodachrome 64 , Verichrome pan B/W film and Fujifilm and Kodak color film and printed many 20X24 inches prints from those tiny negatives with amazing results. I was working in a professional photo lab printing very large format prints and enjoyed printing large prints from my 110 negative to impress my fellow photographers with my tiny SLR. Today i am making an adapter with an iris to use them on my Canon EOS M camera series. To get the best of them make sure to use a lens hood and matt paint on the inside of the adapter to cut the flare.

I love adapted lenses its what got me into film photography. Definitely try Pentax Super-Takumars, which film makers have already found as great lenses. Also would have been nice to see some video from Jordan with the 110 lens (I know the wide open aperture might have been an issue for shutter speeds).
Evidently, the aperture was in the Auto 110 body and when you use them with these adapters and no aperture, they are actually brighter than 2.8 and not as sharp as they could be. One company makes an adapter with an adjustable aperture and it does seem to make a difference but it costs much more than $10. I'll agree with what other people have said- lenses like these were made in a time where technical perfection wasn't the main goal and they have some great character to them. Even the zoom is pleasant to use.
I got a mint Nikon FM body, Nikkor 50mm 1.8, Nikkor 105mm 2.5, Sigma 75-250mm zoom with a bunch of accessories for $149. Use all the lenses on my digital Nikon system and my Olympus m4/3 system and have gotten back into shooting film as well. Even took the FM on my vacation and shot 7 rolls of film. Thoroughly enjoyed the step back in time.
I shoot thousands of photos with the 110 auto all over the rocky mts. camera went everywhere with me.
Adapt some old Minolta glass!!! Rokkor-PF 135mm 2.8 is honestly my favorite portrait lens.
Just please adapt all 35mm format lenses on to fill frame cameras. The edges are where a lot of the character is at.

I think micro 4/3 brands should start making the most ridiculous tiny bodies they can fit the sensor. Ricoh GR III has an aps-c sensor with IBIS, Im sure someone can make an outrageous small camera with a micro 4/3 sensor. I think the novelty itself would be enough to sell some cameras.

Great video! In case anyone is curious, the 24mm lens in this family will work fine on a Canon M-series mirrorless camera. I have one on my M5 and there is full coverage of the sensor, with mildly dark corners. At shutter speeds of over 1/1500 or so, there is a pronounced vignette or dark gradient effect on just one side of the sensor, but I hear this is common for ECFS shutter system cameras. If you are having problems with infinity focus, know that this lens was never designed to be very sharp at long distances, but it helps to check that your lens is fully seated in the adapter. (I have a Fotasy PTX110-EOS M adapter that I got for about $15 shipped.) Overall this is an extremely fun lens that does create decent separation/bokeh when shooting closer to a subject, almost as a portrait lens. It can be very sharp in the center of the frame. Thanks to its very small size, I can shove my APS-C camera into my jacket pocket on my way out the door, for spur-of-the-moment street shooting. Thanks to this video, I have just hunted up the other two lenses on eBay before the prices go up!

Fun video! I have all Pentax 110 lenses and I have tested them all on M4/3. It was fun but I won’t be using them again. They’re actually not very good lenses. The 70mm is the best of them and the 20-40 is by far the worst of them.
But Lomography starting to ship 110 film soon or even started already, so the system itself lives again..

Used all of the kit when new, a joy to use and produced lovely Kodachrome slides. The top end 110 format was also supported by Canon and Minolta but with much more conventional cameras. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧

If your doing videos on adapting lens, what about the classic Olympus Pen series lens on APS-C or M4/3. Also, what about looking into the newer speed-boosters, are they really any good? I shoot a lot of film on Canon FD glass and was curious if the new Metabones adapters are something fun to mess around with.

Not sure if there's an episode in this or not, but the funkiest lenses I've adapted are the 35, 50 and 100mm Cintagon lenses that go on my mid 1950s Argus C44R. They have the coolest chrome design, although I don't know that the performance matches the look. They're famous for their complicated bayonet mount. I say "adapted," but actually, since there's no adapter, I instead held the lens up against a Minolta to micro 4/3 adapter, which was about right. Not having three hands, I found it difficult to hold the camera and the lens and focus precisely, but I got close.
I got an Argus (brick) adapter for my Fuji's. Great fun.

I've strapped a Minolta 45mm 2.0 and 58mm 1.4 to my Fuji GFX. Sure, the image quality is definitely not there but it's fun and the results are just...unique.
I have the same set of lenses - fyi you can buy an adapter that has an iris built in so you can stop down. Also watch out on the adapters, the Fotasy one I bought has a pretty huge light leak around the lokcing pin. You can fix with a long thin strip of 2 sided velcro, but just be aware.
Got a Pentax 110 and an E-M1, so looks like I'll be getting an adapter!!! And, if Pentax ever came out with a digital 110 camera, I'd buy it in a heartbeat :D
Got the 18 and the 50mm and an adapter to E-mount after watching that video from Caleb some time ago. They are indeed fun to use. Liking the idea of Pentax releasing a mirrorless body for these lenses and maybe a couple of new ones.

For the Pentax 110 lenses, I think that you can stop down the aperture with an insertable disk like the Lensbaby kit of removable magnetic disks. Old Bolex movie camera lenses with a D-mount adapter work on small sensor mirrorless. The original 8MP Ricoh GR Digital is fun in monochrome and the modular Ricoh GXR with interchangeable lens/sensor kits is built like a tank.

I had never heard of these until a few years ago when I found the 18mm lens for 3 euros in a local thrift shop, and just took the gamble on it. The adapter to sony was 4 times the money. It does fully cover aps-c, though the corners are very weak. It's a fun toy and the smallest lens I own.
The lens aperture is formed by the pair of shutter leaves in the Pentax 110, I guess they couldn't see quite this far into the future ;)
I've been playing with some Industar M39 lenses with an adapter on my EM-1mII. A $10 M39/m43 opens up a world of fun. Definitely gives an interesting look that's fun. And the Indistar lenses are full manual so you can adjust the aperture (no electronics, of course).
I don't know about any particularly interesting lenses to adapt, but you know what everyone has forgotten about? the Nikon 1 series. Their only real fault was being too expensive. The idea of a compact camera with a good sensor and interchangeable lenses wasn't a bad idea, I think. It just needed to be marketed differently, and definitely sold cheaper. The same goes for the Pentax Q series.
I used to have an Olympus E510 and E3 with grip. I had the 50mmf2 macro 11-22f2.8 and 12-60f2,8-4 but I also had tons of M42 lenses with the adapter. Best lens I have ever used was the LEICA SUMMICRON-M 50mm f/2, using it on the E3 was obviously 100mm equivalence. This lens I bought for about £400 and now I looked at the prices and they about £1000.
These recent videos shot with Fuji X-T4 seem to have a warmer tone than older videos made with Panasonic cameras.

you can put a paper water-stop aperture behind the lens in the adapter to stop it down. The corners are still going to be soft.
I remember seeing a Pentax Auto 110 and all its lens collection inside a display cabinet at a photo or electronics shop back in the late 70s when they were new! I was around 8 at the time, and really wanted them. But alas beyond my parents price range.
I'd love to see Pentax 67 lenses on a Pentax 35mm body! I've seen the adapters around and I've always wanted to try it out.
Despite the lack of sharpness, which wasn't really apparent anyway, there were some great shots there. I'm currently going through some serious GAS with vintage niftys, specifically super Taks, Canon FD and Rokkor. Would love to see a nifty fifty shootout among these lenses on a FF digital (obviously I can and will do this myself but I'd like to see your take on them).

I bought the same set of lens ad a adapter for my Pentax Q10 some time ago - due to quality and lack of aperture I already have sold it again - My fency tele adapter solution is a K-Adapter and the Pentax DA40XS (from the K01) which on the q10 ia an equivalent of app 330mm/2.8 - on MFT it would be eq. 80/2.8
Try shooting with olympus pen-f (half-frame) lenses!

Pentax won't join M4/3, it's too "video" for the Luddites on the Pentax Forum. And I say that as someone who love K & P67 lenses on cinema cameras, and owns multiple Pentax bodies.

M39 adapted lenses would be interesting since they were designed for a short flange distance resulting in a small adapter. Plus they cover full frame and the adapter comes very cheap.
There are some small Russian cine lenses for 16mm film (basically equivalent to 110 or m4/3) with the Kiev-16u lens mount with are easily adaptable to MFT-cameras 12, 20, 40 and 50 mm all in f2 (with aperture).
Also, a 50mm f1.2 (no aperture) Russian cinema projector lens, for the same Russian 16mm film, which makes gorgeous pictures with stunning bokeh, but it is more difficult to adapt/use.
That was fun. Great idea. More of this fun of photography stuff please. How about how to use a Land camera with Instax film? Adapted old medium or large format lenses on Fuji MF? Shoot out with a local professional using entry level whatever?

It would be cool if Pentax revisited the Q line - I unfortunately heard about them after they had disappeared then became a cult hit. I would even settle for a 1 inch sensor like the Samsung NX mini.

What I'd love to see is some old Meyer-Optik glass adapted/speedboosted onto mirrorless - I have a Primotar 135 3.5 personally and absolutely adored the look of it when shooting on a Fuji system, as well as a Zeiss Planar 50 1.8 from the 70s. Now with the X-T4 having IBIS, and potentially speedboosting these lenses, it might be the perfect time for some manual glass, SOOC jpeg shooting. Just as well on a PEN-F or E-M body, fwiw.

Pentax and Fuji all day... the highlights for me from my collection of 35 Pentax lenses are the m-series 28mm f2 and 40mm f2.8, but the SMC early k series 85mm f1.8 or the SMC takumar 35mm 3.5... all day.
