Pokemon: Pikachu vs Aegislash

Ash's Pikachu battles Sawyer's Aegislash in the Kalos League.

Aegislash is one of my favorite pokemon.

And here we have a level 100 Pikachu that tanks 2 sacred swords and a level 5 Aegislash that folds to one thunderbolt.

That did my head in too. I get it’s plot armour and everything, but at least be a little bit subtle and not just have pikachu take a thousand hits then one shot aegislash.

The thing is that aegislash has two forms, one of them is when it doesn’t use its shield. In this form its atack and special atack are 150 but both of its defenses are around 40 which is pretty low. Anyway, I don’t think that they thought about this while they were making this fight.

​@@juanignaciocastillo6284 gonna play devils advocate and say that it makes sense. Aegislash was a straight up tank when in its shield form, having the protag counter said form with an innovative and surprising move deserves a one shot after, or at the very least a two shot. Plus aegislash is frail in sword form but yeah they probly didnt think about that LOL

@@04musicgurl In order for it to use King's Shield, which works like Protect, it needs to be in its Shield forme.

Not sure what Pikachu thought was gonna happen there. Its fastest move is quick attack, which is worthless against a ghost type like Aegislash, and it had sacred sword (?) already active, so…

Es decir, ¿respetan el hecho de que Aegislash al no tener escudo su defensa baja muchísimo, y por eso le gana de un ataque, pero Pikachu aguanta toda la barrida de Aegislash y gana así como así? Terrible.
