Just installed my h&r super sports on my f30 and am very happy about the result. They do not negatively effect the ride quality and keep it comfortable with a nice stance added
That bike made me miss mine 🥲🥲. Great video bro. 🔥🔥🔥 hell of an intro 😂😂😂
lowering spings give you over 90% of the performance of a coilover for a quarter of the price. Most people get coilovers and don't even know how to dial in a suspension, they just slam it, leave it and forget it. This is why springs are better for most applications. Unless you have an old car and your shocks are worn then springs are the way to go, or if you are actually tracking your car. For 99% of people springs are more than enough. Get springs and save your money. I've even tracked Springs and they worked just fine.
nice vid bro, that dip was something fierce !!
Mannn it had me shook
Just ordered some Super Sports for my 440i! You put me on! Love the content. Keep it up!
Did you end up getting new shocks? How was the ride quality?
@@blainejungers8491 still on stock shocks, it rides okay, more harsh on the bumps. Definitely handles better
@@Icy.mk5 did it take too much of the comfort away?
@@Eddy-09 yeah. It’s a lot more stiff and harsh on bumps. Depending on where you live can be a factor. The roads here in ga aren’t shitty so it’s okay for me
Car looks and sounds so good. I felt that bump lol good thing everything good.
just got my 340i but it has adaptive m suspension, im thinking about doing dinan performance springs and their bumpstops, would that setup work w the adaptive suspension? And will it destroy the shocks?
Love the videos bro keep it up 👍🏽✅
Thank you 🙏🏽
Previously it was M-sport springs? I'm thinking about opposite, going from lowered eibach springs to stock M-sport springs
Yo would having 18x8.5 +30 72.56 fit on the front instead of +35?
Do you have the m adaptive suspension
i literally just put them on today theyre lit
Just bought lowering springs and a new set of shocks for my saab
What's your tire set up
Looks great! How is the bootmod3 running? Do you have to upgrade your intercooler for stage 2?
Bootmod3 is great! You do need an upgraded intercooler to go stage 2. The b58 engine doesn’t use an intercooler though. It uses a heat exchanger. So for the engines with a heat exchanger you don’t necessarily NEED an upgraded heat exchanger to go stage 2 but it is recommended
Looks sick!! But how do you feel about getting a bigger wheel size with a stock suspension? I like the flush look without the wheel gap but also don’t want to lower my car.....
Yeah that’s another way you could do it. Just by getting bigger wheels
Getting 19" wheels vs the 18" wont make that big of a difference in wheel gap but it does look better
You would need a shorter tire to compensate for the bigger wheel so the speedometer still works lol. Overall diameter would be the same.
Love all your videos bro! But what’s the intro song?
Name change by Niko Biswas
Quick question, should I get new shocks n struts for lowering springs? Since right now I’m stock and my ride is wobbly sort of. Need helppp
How many miles do you have on those shocks and struts? If they are starting to ware and you can notice it then I’d definitely replace them because the springs will only make the ride quality worse tbh
I'm thinking about going H&R Sport for my 435 on my Channel... Roads here in NYC suck
Haha I bet man sport would probably be your best bet then
Hey Antonio!! Just wondering what’s the difference between H&R SPORT SPRINGS and SUPER SPORT SPRINGS? Is it the level of lowering?? i have a BMW F33 convertible (430i) with 20 inch wheels. What do you advise which springs to choose ?? Thanks
Yeah super sport are lower than sport, with 20in wheels I think sport would probably be a better bet but just preference
Same bro I got 20s debating on sport or super sport
Do you think we should go super sport with 19" wheels or lower than supersport ?
With 19 I know some of my friends are running the sport. But you can run super sport and just get a thinner tire I’m sure. Check forums for the setup you’d like to run. Forums always have great info
u still running these to this day?
Antonio what's your wheels fitment? Do they stick out a bit? I was wondering because on my F30 I have tiny bit of poke with stretch tires so would you go with super sport spring or the sport ones?
Also it's more the facts that my F30 is Xdrive so it have higher suspension than Rwd and it's not a m sport so even more high. I'm scared to go super Sport because of my stretch tires sticking out a tiny bit (they are 18x9.5 +30 all around) what would you do super sport or sport?
@@alexinadon7999 so how it went since there bro ? I'm going super sport soon on 18x9.5 et35 rear and 18x8.5 et30 front
@@battleforfairlife7834 Since that I have an Xdrive, I couldn't opt for the super sports since they don't make them for Xdrive models. So, I went with the sports H&R springs, which gave a nice drop that I'm happy with. If I had a RWD F30, I'd definitely choose the super sports without hesitation. The fitment is perfect with stretched tires, but with your +35offset, your wheels will stick in a bit more than mine. I'm surprised you don't experience rubbing with a +35 offset, as I have a 3 mm gap with my wheels and shocks in the front with a +30 offset. I'd suggest checking the state of your suspension since that putting lowering springs on oem shocks do premature wear on them. But yeah, going with the super sports is the way to go otherwise, the sport ones would be too high. Juste make sure your suspension is a-okay.
@@alexinadon7999 only 3 mm gap with just H&r sport ? What’s you tyres specs ? Have you any videos or pictures ?
My car has now 40.000km so I think it’s ok for the moment.
I chooses tyres for front 235/45/18 and 265/40/18.
@@alexinadon7999I saw another guy did 18x9 ET30 front and rear the same as mine and it looks really flush. I don’t want them to stick in
Do you think its safe to go super sport on xdrive cars?
They would have to be made specifically for the xdrive. I know the regular ones on x drive will be a rough ride
I think if I did anything to my f36, it’d be the sport springs as people seem to be happier with those or dinan
I heard h&r is more comfy than dinans
I haven’t heard too much about Dinan springs but H&R are very good 👌🏼
did you ever end up doing it? i had a dilemma; dinan/h&r sports + bilstein B8s, or, drop the extra $$$ for the bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers, about a $1000 difference. ended up going with the springs+shocks; dont want much of a drop, just to freshen up the suspension and get a bit firmer of a ride.
i scrape my m sport lip regularly in San Franciso, so im aiming for a 0.5-1" drop. i've done the coilover thing on previous cars; cheap coilovers are not DD-able, expensive coilovers are better, however can still run very stiff due to spring rates, additionally they require dialing in height, corner balancing, and adjusting dampening. i figured i'd try the highly rated bilstein B8s and pair them to a well-known spring that offers a subtle drop. still waiting on FedEx to deliver my H&R sport springs, as soon as they show up, the car goes on my lift and i'm swapping them in.
@@that_ninja_junhow is the drop with the h&r sports I’m worried it’s not low enough for me
@@chaoticdimes8496 how low do you wanna go? H&R sports (blue springs) dropped my front about 1.25" and the rears about 0.75". Rear sits a little higher than front, but im okay with it. The 1.25" drop up front is making my m sport lip scrape very regularly lol. I drive my car like its got a 2.5" drop to avoid scraping the shit out of my lip. My wheel offset plus the drop, new tension struts, and m3/4 wishbones and i rub very slightly up front on the bumper fender liner if my wheel is slightly turned and i hit a bump while at speeds, particularly where the side camera is mounted onto the front bumper.
I cant imagine dailying H&R Super Sports. I probably wouldnt even drive the car tbh. I have little stress fits when driving somewhere new and not knowing road conditions and drive way slopes lol, but im still able to send it if i have to and the lip will scrape a little.
Subbed 🔥🔥
I appreciate that!
what wheel size do you have ???
They should be in the description bro
im running 245/40/18 in front you think they scrape if i get the super sport springs ??
Nah you should be good. I’m running 235/40/18 in the front with 10mm spacers and I’m fine
@@Metoy3r appreciate it for the respond 🙏🏾
How long did it take for the springs to settle? Did you see a significant drop from day 1? I do know it can take some time to fully settle. Should one worry If they don't see much drop on first day?
It took my car about a month to fully settle to where it is now. You won’t see the drop you’re looking for right after installation but give it a few weeks and it will look a lot better!
@@Metoy3r Thanks. Your BMW is Dope bro. Keep that ish nice.💯
Just installed hnr sport on my w204, is that normal that front sits higher than rear bro?
I’ve heard of the rear sitting a little higher but not the front. How much higher is it sitting
How is the ride with h&r w204?
Did you need wheel spacers on this?
No I didn’t use spacers in this video
Can you send link for springs you bought
Link is in the description
Why springs over coil overs, cause I got magnetic damper and shocks, not giving that up.
how much it cost to install ?
I did it myself bro
I have a second car that used to be my daily. I went thru so many fitment woes and finally put it on coils. Then bought an e class for ride quality. Just got some wheels last week and gonna drop on h&r this time. Coil overs + gf + bad roads = nope.
Antonio! Question for you, if you ran spacers would it rub?
On the front or back?
@@Metoy3r either one, and also Ik everyone says they wear out the oem shocks quicker, but how quick is it really
Spacer fit in the front but 275 tire width is the biggest I’ve been able to run in the back without running. And I’ve tan my springs from 22k miles to 40k and I’m just now staring to notice slight ware but nothing crazy. I’d say depending on how old your second already are they will probably last 15-20k miles
@@Metoy3r sheesh so throwing on spacers on my oem shocks with 40k miles probably isn’t a good idea. Probably gonna have to go with some coilovers
Well 40k at stock ride height is different than 40k lowered. You should be able to get about 20k more out of them after lowering
I want to lower mine too but imma have to wait :/
Why’s that?
My H&R set up was 2,100 for springs and struts just for the front and everything changed over from skunk2 coilovers coilovers we’re cheaper by far my coilovers we’re 750$ 😂
That hurt me and it ain’t even my car
Arent you xdrive? Kies said super sport runs a risk of snappin your axle
I’m not xdrive
Does this apply to the M340i xDrive as well?
@@Eddy-09 im pretty sure but email kies they respond fast
keep it stock *noted*😅😅😅
Haha nah man I really enjoy they way it looks now. I hated the wheel gap
