Late Night Munchies: Busan, South Korea

- DJ and club manager Sun Gin and club owner Mino head out for a night on the town, dining at local culinary gems that dot the streets of Busan until long in the afterhours. Mino and Sun Gin head Output, one of Busan’s biggest and most popular nightclubs that hosts DJs from all over the world. Entertaining international artists with delicious Korean food is a welcome part of their job description and this time VICE is along for the tour.
They start the night with comforting mouthfuls of pork gukbap and pat-bingsu in Seomyeon, before driving out to the Haeundae District for fresh steamed snails and a live barbecued spicy garlic octopus-all washed down with rice wine, bottles of soju and a night swim at the beach. That’s just the Busan way.

This probably one of the coolest, if not The Coolest, video I have seen about Busan. I lived in Busan from 2000 to 2005. I worked as a systems engineer at the time. I met incredible people. Busan will always have a place in my heart.
I've lived in Busan for 18 years and love to see this. For too long this city has been living in the shadow of Seoul. It has its own spirit and food culture. Thanks for shining the light!
Seems like it's an awesome place with an amazing EDM culture. Wish I could live there, or even visit.
I prefer Busan instead of Seoul. Busan is more relax and people are more welcome.
Well I felt the opposite, some people ignored me because I was speaking English or I don't really know, while in seoul even they are not fluent in English ( but most of them are good) they were always helpful..
This is the best video I've seen that shows what real drinking/eating culture is like in Korea. Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines have the best food in the world.
Love to see content about South Korea outside of Seoul! The real culture is always outside the city
Agreed! My mom is from Busan, so I had to see this.
Not in Korea. Seoul is Korea. Half of the population lives in Seoul + surrounding areas.
@@HKim0072 lol If ur not Korean stfu, u wouldn't even know. everyone knows real culture is outside of the capital.
Busan is the second biggest city in South Korea. It is a huge city
Its the second largest metropolitan city in korea.
Miss busan so much love from hongkong 💗🇨🇳
such lovely people. very wholesome and great content. keep it up guys! :)
Nostalgia is very powerful. Sweet red bean desert with shaved ice is so delicious.
I enjoyed this episode-an authentic night out in Busan with lots of tasty food and a dip in the East Sea afterwards!
i love busan, its my spirit city because i am from california and its similar style
부산 ❤
finally an answer to What's tasty in Busan
Beautiful cinema and stories. Wow!
I'd be puking in a gutter if I ate and drank like that, I'm impressed.
I love Busan. I highly recommend visiting. (fighting)
Enjoy beautiful see side cafes in Busan !
I cant wait to visit Busan one day! Asian food is so delicious....I have seen alot of Busan through EXBC on twitch
Interesting lifestyle well the drinking never stops just like LA and Las Vegas and New York but I'll stick to festivals now that's where the real party is. Well I'll be back to Korea around August to visit family yay fun times.
Nice Video .. Where is this club? I may visit it on my visit to South Korea. - Thanks for sharing!

I thought I saw this content a few months ago? Also, you will see two or maybe three people go into the ocean at night (unless people are drunk and throwing people in) in Busan. lol
LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!❤️🔥
Guy with the bucket hat: 1
Octopus: 0
Al of it looks yummy. I am not Korean but I respect other people’s culture and food. In other words, “don’t yuck people’s yums”
I'd love to try live octopus as fresh as it can be.
Output is the best!
Very cool video & great to see different foodie culture, but it seems so cluttered with all the little dishes/plates....does all that stuff end up being eaten?
Wow and what am doing with my life!!!
The interviewer is so pretty ^_^
How many cheers??
Torturing the live octopus is offputting. :(
when i lived there i didnt think anything of it but now living abroad, my mentality changed and it is off putting. just as off putting as boiling live lobsters in a pot of hot water
I miss it so much!!

wasn't this previously aired?
Definitely nobody’s wearing mask 😷
I wanna be her friend so bad
Sad to see octopus being tortured...
kinda messed up to grill octopus alive or bite off a piece while it is alive.
Very. Saw a few restaurants specializing in life food when I was in Asia. They eat all sorts of stuff alive there, not just octopus. And not just south Korea, south/east Asia generally. Every sushi or eel place will probably filet fish alive, they wouldn't normally bother dispatching first. Then there's China, Taiwan, Vietnam.... They sure do have a different mentality...
Of course, many Koreans and Asians enjoy such foods, but some Koreans like me do not like raw fish or intestinal food. I even loathe eating steak rare.
They had a famine for like 100 years. Let humans eat. That’s the way God intended.
Meanwhile in the N.korea life would be different in exactly the opposite manner!
❤
🖤🥋
Atleast develope some humane way to kill that octopus. Or just have a control over your taste buds
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bro, if you go eat with Koreans at a Korean restaurant, you gonna be cheersing every few minutes. And the rule is you drink with every cheers (ggumbae).
Re-upload?
Watch your insulin levels guys.
오영주인줄
Why this are upload?
Ha! The fruit and beans with shaved ice and condensed milk looks exactly like Siguotang from Fujian, China 🇨🇳 except the sugary liquid (siguotang is made with sugary syrup or coconut milk instead of condensed milk)
Eating live animals is foul. I love eating meat, but not lowering myself to aninal torture
Why is it that the population of Korea is concentrated in and around Seoul?
Holy crap these people can drink…
Lol, you never heard of Korean drinking culture? It's intense.
@@Nightriser271828 I am Korean, but these people are next level 😂
7:37 You can hear his accent clearly (even though I'm really bad at Korean).
Her English accent is odd as well. Guess I'm used to hearing my cousin's bad English.
I like Vice, Vice is fun but switch to a vegan life style
Not even gonna kill the octopus first? Absolutely sickening. People in Busan should boycott Output. Morality transcends culture before anybody starts to bang on about how "it's their traditional food."
Nobody would boycott because that is how it is meant to be eaten. You should learn to respect other people’s cultures before standing on your moral high ground.
조직스토킹변태원인들은 쓸모없음죽여버릴듯
come to china !!
she is so drunk not even close to the end of the end .... do you feel even taste of food at that point?
Ah, Busan the birthplace of Korean Zombies ! Noiceeeeeee
what the hell did they shoot this with??
haha they got a greatest club in busan named output i went there every weekend with ma friend to hangout during two years before i finished ma collage in kroea. but i planning back to ma country next week , too many things happened and lots of great memories in that club and this city..im gonna miss those guys and busanTT
I love this kind of content
Mino is right.
Food is culture.
It’s only 1 week ago, I’ve left Korea :) was a nice experience and def. not my last visit.
Where did they have space to chow down all that food?
It was kind of date for them
