seeing someone not expect to feel the passion and then become completely encompassed by it is such a memory i still have a dented elbow from learning kickflips in my parents garage
That’s insanely impressive. Pre internet era it took me and the homies for ever to land our first kickies l, all we had was Mike valalies (don’t know how to spell his last name) ppv video on the tv
I was about to say he clearly used to skate, those first couple ollies were pretty decent. He probably skated for off and on for a year or two, then got bored and gave up. That’s how a lot of my friends were. They all tried to skate but never stuck with it. And if they tried to skate today it’d probably look like that.
Very first lesson should always be falling and the willingness to get hurt...if they can't do that, then they're just poser and should move on to something else... that's my first 2 cents i give anybody "wanting" to skate... long story short, if you want to skate, you'll do it naturally like every one of us did... that's the honestly the only way to become a skater...it has to come from within...
Let everyone progress in their own way instead of gatekeeping the community. No matter where you come from, how you learn to skate, how you progress pushing yourself, you're a skater as long as you skate. Positive mentality goes far far further than trying to dictate a certain way of advancing.

That got a good cackle out of me, just the sheer confidence and innocent lack of knowledge was golden 👌
Came here to look for this comment before I said it 😂
