Choosing to live in a building that you know is a constant tourist attraction for one of the biggest TV Shows of all time, and then throwing a hissy fit when people come to see it, is a whole new level of petty lol.
There got to be something that holds them there, i guess nobody wants to leave their beloved home. But I bet they could easily sell it for three times the amount that house would go for without bb
@@Paul43210 I don't think the family that agreed to let it be used for filming expected it to be such a big show. That's my guess, at least. They've probably lived there for a very long time/it's a family home. I think it is helpful to let them know they aren't standing on much, if anything... 😅 I had an employee of a Walmart try to physically knock me off my board, because they didn't like it. No one told them to lightly jog after me. They wanted to, then tried to come up with a good reason for touching me. I told them to never do that again, period. He has no right to touch any customer for any reason. He was trying to get himself and Walmart sued over something really dumb. I only ever want ppl like that to learn thier lessons. I truly don't understand why after all this time the owners of the Walter White House don't just do what they did with the home from A Christmas Story and open it up as a museum and make some money off of it. Digging their heels in and choosing to live miserably like this has been a net negative, and the next owners of that house will probably have better hindsight with what to do with the property.
How is Ricky so calm and nice when confronted by that absolute cretin claiming she’s going to “confiscate” his camera.. I would have replied “chill the fuck out lady”
Albuquerque resident here. Love the video idea! Unfortunately, most of the breaking bad spots aren't that fun to visit, and tourists miss out on all the actually cool things in Albuquerque. Next time you come through try skating some of our arroyo spots, or take a cruise from Nob hill to downtown. Glad you went to the crest though! Also, I feel like I have to say that both homeowners in the video were jerks; most Burqueños are nice people.
You are on a public sidewalk and street, she can't do anything at all to you. And if she "confiscated" your camera that would be theft and she would be the one in trouble.
Honestly, screw that lady. I assume it's a public street, and you can film yourself doing a kickflip there if you want for whatever reason you desire. Her threatening to "confiscate" your camera is a laughable empty threat, and if it escalated to her actually trying the law would undoubtedly be on your side.
whoever live there now must know its a hotspot for tourists 11 years after the show ended and yelling at him doing a kickflip and crouching down in the intersection on the other side of the street from the house makes me believe they get a kick out of being an asshole.
I think so too. Those people likely had nothing to tell their entire life, and now they live in a house where they can act salty all day and feel like they finally have authority in life. Poor souls
I haven't gotten to watch many skate vids. Simpler times.. I am still getting out there with it 😅👍 I am still mad about what happened. I know it doesn't help.. I have been cheering from the side lines. I'm really sorry I only come out of the wood work to say something rarely. ppl will find you. You're such an inspirational individual. I know real things are going in the background, but you have this energy about you 😅 if that makes sense 😅 Thank you for everything you've done and will do. Your Amazing 👏 😁👍🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹👍😁👏
I live in albuquerque. People are weird. Some people are nice as anything and some people are mean. I guess it's just like anywhere else. That guy that came out of the apartments and stood there was bizarre. I would have laughed.
...well it's his apartment, ya know. If someone was skateboarding in front of my house, I would have checked it out too...or I would have probably just peeked out the blinds for a few seconds. Abq is a drug city, really. People live here because free healthcare, and it's only 3 hours from the Mexican border, if you know what I mean.
Imagine if one of those 1st Amendment channels showed up there. It’s a public sidewalk. It’s perfectly legal to video anything on private property from a public location. May not be a nice thing to do, but perfectly legal and protected activity. Basically if your eyes can see it, your camera can. 🤷♂️. Sweet kickflip 👍
Private house.... Wait until they sell it.. "Once in a lifetime chance to own one of the most iconic houses in television filming history! $30,000,000"
Or... they can choose to live in the house they bought. Yeah they made a choice to let their house be used and she has the wrong attitude... but you have no place whatsoever to tell someone what they should do with their house or belongings.
@rickyglaser sure. As I said they went about it wrong. But did you consider them at all? They deal with "you" daily. And I'm 100% certain a lot of people are way less considerate than you. So you unfortunately are guilty by association. Should of walked up introduced yourself and explained what you were doing.... Might have been a different outcome? But it's easy to play the victim card or blame someone else. Keep skating!!!
@rickyglaser I was only joshing because it's such a weird term and I've never heard it before, but good to know I genuinely was actually impressed with your demo for them with falling because as a cyclist my biggest fear is losing a bud on a 50kph cycle sprint and having to locate it again. How are they with hearing ambience around you?

Is there something special about your house other than the display that I should be aware of that would prevent me from skateboarding in a public space in the very location you state people can photograph your house, despite the fact I am actually recording this sick kickflip?" i’m conflicted about the breaking bad house. sure, it’s legal to film there, but i’m not quite sure it’s ethical to do so if the owner has shown they aren’t interested. i wouldn’t like my house filmed daily either. i notice people try and swerve that conversation with advice about how the owner could profit from the famous home, but all that does is ignore the owner’s wishes. i agree though, she should make her money and sell the home to someone who is a bit of a better sport

The sign even said to take pictures across the street, which is where you filmed, yet she was still upset 😂
