I am amazed to see how much Greenland has changed for the best. I was stationed there in 1968. Too bad I am old to return there and see this nice place again. I am happy for the natives .
OOOhhhh, my childhood town! Have been longing for a couple of month to revisit it; 15 years since last time I had the pleasure of this beautiful place...
It is hard to believe Greenland or Kalaallit Nunnat is so beautiful , so lively . In my childhood I learnt a little about the country . I formed an idea that the country is covered with snow entirely and inhabited by the Eskimos using dog-drawn wheelless cars over snow and kayak on water and living on meat available from seals , polar bears and so on . But the picture has changed altogether . Now it is peopled by a generation that prefers to be known as Greenlanders speaking Greenlandic belonging to the Eskimo language family . They are almost like us and are very hard-working and energetic . I am all along interested in Greenland . In my early career I had correspondence with the Royal Danish Embassy in our country and they used to supply to me a lot of informations on the development of the country . I made correspondence even with Nuuk capital of the country to quench my thirst . This video delights me extremely and I become thrilled , excited and overwhelmed with excessive joy when I watch it on youtube . With hot love from a small town of India .

inukjorgensen . I seen 2 videos where planes take off from Greenland. (Kangerlussuaq) in winter and one in summer. When was this video taken and what weather do you have in the summer. You must have extremely long days in the summer.

Canada and Greenland are not similar in temperature and landscape. Greenland is to unfriendly land in term of life and diversity of life. You die or you live, that's why Greenland have so many unpurporsely died peaple, lower than Canada but people adapted from it in thousands of years.
Greetings! I'm captivated by the images I see from the Greenland postings on RUclips. Though I'm now on a fixed income and with my travelling days over, I can still dream. Now I've found a special place about which to dream!
I didn't know how green actually Greenland is. Great place i want to travel to some day during summer. Hilsnerne til dette smukke land fra en Græsk søfarer. elsker jeg også nordlige steder og smukt Danmark har været i.
The music is as foreign to Greenland as you are. Like a bad film telling ya how to feel. It's more transcendent and beautiful with the music turned OFF
I love the music. Actually I've been obsessed with it the last couple of days, and I also love how it's blended. What is the source music of the piano piece? I cannot find it anywhere.
Tak for en profesionel film om vores dejlige Grönland. Jeg bliver så varm i kroppen når jeg ser denne film.. Sidst jeg var "hjemme" (IVITTUUT) var i 1996..
Hey, you know you could make a great movie with this video. I am a greenland lover too. It is just a beautiful country. Is this video you took yourself?
It’s a form of grass, Arctic Cottongrass I think it’s called in English. The Greenlandic name for the plant is Ukaliusaq (which literally means “looks like a hare”).
I've always been told there are NO trees in Greenland. Apparently this is not true since there obviously are some trees featured in this video, in the yards of homes. 🎄
A lot has happened on that front with in the last few decades. Both due to the ease of importing trees and due to a warming climate, which lets the bushes grow taller into (almost) tree like statures.
If you are seeking for breathtaking beauty, now you know where to go before getting to Paris or London or N.Y. or anywhere else...Here I come, Qaqortoq!
Name of the Country is Greenland, in the native language: Kalaallit Nunaat. Meaning land of the humans. Name of the town in the video is Qaqortoq, in Southern Greenland. Qaqortoq means "The White" (colour white)
The latitude is the same as Bergen and Oslo in Norway, and they have tall trees there; in the bottom of the fjords the native birches of South Greenland can reach 7-10 meters, that is a tree! The willow can grow to 4 meters there, and in Qaqortoq, where the video is shot they reach 3-4 meters. In a fjord nearby a tiny forest of a canadian and sibirian trees are planted, they've grown fine to be very tall now, they are just not native
It is my desire to visit someday. Is this city Nuuk? What wildlife will you find near this city? I loved the birds singing. Thank you so much for this beautiful video.
You should go: an experience for life! That town is Qaqortoq in South Greenland. On the lake you will find the amazing common loon nesting and make its eerie cry in the evenings. Lots of other birds, arctic hare, polar fox, lots of fish, in the nearby farming areas sheep are roaming the mountains. Whales, mostly the little minke whale, seals like spotted seal, hooded seal, bearded seal. Birds in the area: raven, sea eagles, mallard duck, snow bunting, auk, etc. Fish: salmon, arctic char, macquerel, redfish, catfish, capelin etc. - Oooh, how I miss my childhood town! Loved living there as a child

The beauty of their place is quiet away from the smoke of the car. And also the amount of fish in them is fresh. That's when I got to greenland
