To actually be there at the exact time must have been a tremendous feeling, the noise on the video was loud, it must have been incredible to actually hear it from the cameraman's position. Fabulous,
That was incredible. What was more adrenaline pumping was how you guys did't seem to be at all worried about the tsunami about to head in your direction - until almost the last moment !
The fact that these types of glaciers have been around for as long as they have is incredible. And to capture it is once in a lifetime, literally lol. Great capture!

2:10 when the ice bridge collapsed you can see the face on the right close an eye as if the bridge was it's lifeline. Very lucky to film it or no one would believe it.
Awesome. Sorry you had to not film the big crash, just to save your life :D. I actually found the smaller drops just as awesome and moving as the big ones. Thank you for not zooming and just keeping the camera steady, letting us see a wonderful event.
Great capture. Thanks for sharing this. Finally a video with decent sound no people cheering. Interesting that we hear the loud crack at 1:52 just before we see it. It should be the other way around unless it cracks inside a few seconds before it falls.
I agree .. I can't stand being on boats or tours with loud, cheering idiots - and screaming women yelling, "Oh maaaa Gard, oh maaa Gard". I look at the way they behave and feel sick. Why can't they appreciate the majesty of nature in silence? They have no idea how some of us feel ... we paid the same amount of money to witness the same things, but when I booked our tickets I had a different, much more silent picture of how the experience would unfold for us. And it happened again just last week whilst whale watching Humpbacks .... I could have put a fist through one screaming woman's nose ... she just didn't have a filter or know when to stop! For 4 and a half hours she just went on and on at the top of her voice - but at hour 4 I suddenly remembered that I had nice squishy ear plugs in my handbag from the moto drag races the weekend before .. I didn't take my eyes off her as she watch me open the package and fit them in my ears, LOL. But she STILL just kept on going!! : ( I just like quiet beauty ... just like this.
