I've had a RSPdx for a couple years, love it. Lately I've been thinking about getting a Duo as well, and running 2 RSP servers with the Connect software. Should I be waiting for a similar hardware update for the Duo? Also, just a future idea, a Morse decoder module for Connect would be a cool feature.
Why not show the PCB and the difference / quality in components and design? I would guess 90% of your viewing audience would immediately understand the difference -- the thought, care, and expense that went into the new offering. Just saying it's the new black box leaves me wanting.
I am having a hard time picking up anything in VHF/UHF. Not even FM Radio. Changed modes, narrow and wide. I have connected to HF and VHF/UHF antenna through duplexer. I have used with other radios and can confirm antenna works. I am running through panadaper on Icom 7300. Perhaps it can't pass any signals beyond the Icom 7300 range? It is working as separate HF receiver. So I am thinking I would need to use another duplexor and run VHF/UHF signals to separate antenna input? Will that offer enough protection from stray signals you think if I transmit on Icom 7300?
Great news been waiting for this to happen, purchased a RSP1B a few weeks ago and now ordered one of these beauties, great timing, now just waiting for the next update to SDRConnect , any dates anyone?
I'm presently using the RSP1a and now looking to either move to the RSP1b or to the RSPdxR2......question is there any receiver performance advantage on either of these ? Thank you
Hello, would like to see a comparison video between de new RSPdxR2 and the RSPDuo in case of filtering and so on..... a hard decision to make for the moment about wich one I should buy ....
I have an RSPdx and a Chinese 16-bit Dragonfly RX103. On shortwave, RSPdx is not worth half as much as Dragonfly. I use the RSPdx only in the VHF-UHf band. It's good there. Their software is overcomplicated and difficult to use. SDRConsole is better and much nicer. As they say: "Less is sometimes more!"
Curious why in 2024 these still USB-B? USB-C is ubiquitous now, takes up less space on device, provides more power and is inherently shielded better than most USB-B cables.
@@SDRplayRSP You must not own a MacBook. I’ve never had a USB-C unplug accidentally and there is an audible and physical click when a USB-C is plugged in or unplugged.
@@MIAMIC70 I have both a MacBook and an M1 Mac Mini. Constantly having to find adapters to use those USB-C ports. The USB type B on the RSP is the least of my concerns!
@@SDRplayRSP USB-B was released in 1996 I’m old enough to remember that as I was in the computer printer business 20+ years. Come on there’s ZERO reason for this legacy port. Hell many printers have moved on. It’s low data throughput, low power and hazardous ZERO reason to exist in a consumer device in 2024. That said I just ordered an RSPDX R2 but rather than resist and justify, listen to feedback. I know many people that will NOT buy a device that is not USB-C. I myself have over 90% of my devices on USB-C.
Great to see that SDRPlay release another great product!
Just bought a 1B and love it. It is a good improvement over the 1A and the price is right.
Thank you! I have Three sdrs and use them on vacation up near Hayward Wisconsin.
Thanks for this new unit video…I plan to by one in a couple of months!
73! Have a great day!
Oh yes. 10MHz bandwidth. Can't wait to get one !!!
Me too 👍👍👍
The old RSPdx had that.
much respect for your affords sir! wonderful work and some serious professionality and its much appreciated.

A profound difference on LW. I still enjoy pulling those NDBs out of the noise. 📻
Congratulations, another great addition. Stay safe....J

Today we did an update adding a Frequency module

@@SDRplayRSP Thank you
I very nearly pulled the trigger on an RSPDX this week but I got distracted and didn't complete the purchase....glad I didn't now
Is this now a 16bit a/d converter or the same 14bit as the dx and 1A/B ?
Amazing work! As a new MacBook owner I also enjoy the sdrconnect 🙂

30 days to return so send it back for a refund or exchange, easy peazy
@@bern047 unfortunately I am abroad at the moment and took it with me so not coming back to uk at least a couple of months.
@@littlechestnutorchard I see. the problem is you travelling abroad not the return/exchange issue
Can you recommend an EU distributor that have already taken the RSPdxR2 into stock?
The stock will arrive with most of the EU resellers by Wednesday or Thursday next week. If there is a specific one, we can check on Monday to confirm.
Impressive, Jon.
Is there any android support?
waitin for quad tuner .....
Waiting for diversity control thru mouse wheel

Have ordered it from HRO.

Would be nice if it had an ethernet interface also.
Bought a dx just a few days ago. Shame.
On you?
This sucks - Just got a dx
same here... pfffff
