Good work! Great solo horse neigh at the end! Great team work, too! I had not realized how the work is nicely split between the two trumpets. At 0:32 Is that the 2nd part, that muted clip clop is nicely done so rhythmically. She also does the jazzy part well at 1:46. I love the slight crescendo to accent at 1:24 and repeated afterwards. To me this is an important part of the drama of the piece: this is the part where I imagine the horse bucking, setting up the buggy driver cracking the whip in response. Which reminds me... The way I imagine how the beginning works is that like a car backfiring twice before getting started and the engine chugging away. I imagine the horse is doing sort of the same before settling in. So if I were playing this, I would be just slightly a little later or off the half beat a little more and with more accent for the first two times, maybe more the important opening or first time than the second. And on the third time maybe a little less so as that flows into the chugging along that follows. Also, if when done the first time at beginning, it also alerts the audience to stop talking and pay attention. I am not a trumpet player, but something I notice is that when the mute is inserted, pitch of the instrument drops a little and that is noticeable at 1:28. I don't know if this can be lipped up a little to compensate. Again, great work by both of you. Just as the woman in the photo, that neigh put a smile on my face. Thanks for sharing.
Hey I’m a clarinet player switching to trumpet as a rental you did really nice in this video when playing sleigh ride I’m gonna play Trumpet in 7th grade rn I’m a 6th grader with the clarinet still so yeah nice job
Nice job. Whatever you recorded this on doesn’t do you justice. The Mike set up seemed slow and it sounded like you were splitting tones on all entrances.
THAT TRUMPET NEIGH WAS BEAUTIFUL 2:40
Lol ya! The girl in the back was also laughing lol
YESSIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
That neigh was immaculate

That lovely young lady laughing over the whinny is worth the price of admission. An epic whinny and a wonderful trumpet section.

No one talking about how the Tubas killed ts???? Jeez…. Also good trumpet playing from a trumpet player.
this guy made crown btw!
NICE JOB🔥🔥
The whinney is written for first cornet, but he was playing first trumpet. GJ tho.
Most bands have auditions for who plays the whinney, it's not ever really part based.
I played second trumpet but did the horse Whitney because I was the best at it
This guy made scv btw!
Me and my friend are 7th grader and we can do that neigh but we are in 10th grade band since we play better and music and notes then 7,8,9th graders
I have the same trumpet as you!
