Beautuful video with great sights of reef and also liked it when you named all of the fish. I like to see Desiree in the water because she looks like a mermaid in her elements and she makes it look so safe and easy.

Hi there D n J, those islands look just like the ones I am originally from, the Marshall Islands, tiny little islands in the Pacific Ocean, look just like the ones shown here in this episode, everything shown in this clip, the white sands, coconut trees, the birds, the hermit crab, so yeah, loving it! Happy sailings!

Beautiful footage and editing. When you shot the boat from the beach my first thought was "I wonder who's there with you?", but then I remembered Atticus is a ketch so the bell went off in my fuzzy brain. The crystal emerald water is amazing. I don't think I could tear myself away from that. Well maybe for a 'grog' run. Happy trails

I think you really capture what freediving is. The pros have another outlook but for me it is the peace. the ZEN, the pushing your limits and the absolute aloneness you have down there. Somehow the fact that it is only temporary raises the bar on it as well. Being less of a people person Desiree I bet you can really get into it that much more!

You two always get great underwater shots. I always show my friends and family.
P.S. Consider that during a blackout you typically have the ability to simply bring your dive buddy to the surface, remove their mask, and blow air along their eyes while tapping their cheeks and speaking with them to wake them up and get them breathing again. During a blackout, your body doesn’t open its mouth to breath in water. However, IF you leave the snorkel in your mouth while underwater it can act as a funnel, allowing water to flow directly into your lungs, now adding the need for CPR. Check out “Adam Freediver” and his “How to Rescue a Blackout” video on YT. Stay safe!

After seeing most of them so far, I must say that your videography has greatly improved. Good job with that, y'all !! You have taken us to places in the world that we may never see otherwise. Even your free diving has been intriguing. You have been growing so well in nearly everything you do, including getting used to each other in a really small space. A beautiful couple for sure. Beautiful, thanks for sharing, guys! (A tip I was given once about free diving-take out that snorkel out of your mouth when you dive. If you black out, your body's natural reflex is to close your mouth. With the snorkel in your mouth, though, you basically have a funnel straight into your lungs.)

Wow, you guys have some of the coolest vids on this ‘Tube! One observation I have to make as a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor (#15109) - and we teach Free Diving also - I was very concerned to see a lot of the really visual and nice two-shots of you but where you were both diving free deep at the same time and not close enough to assist the other in case of SWBO (Shallow Water Black Out). I I hope you are aware of this very real danger to especially very experienced deep free divers, and keep in mind that you have only moments to pull stricken diver out of shallow water (often as shallow as just 10 or so feet) and get them to the surface for the Two Quick Breaths (more as necessary)to try to get the breathing going again. It’s recommended that one stay up and the other to the deep free dive, but if you insist on deep diving together, please stay close, very close, on the ascent. I just shudder to think of either of you out of position to make the assist for the other that would delay a rescue. Lastly, but along this same line, they make low profile CO2 inflatable Skin Diving Safety Vests. I know...it won’t look as “cool” on camera as no Safety Vest, but Safety is the Coolest Thing of all when you consider the alternative. Try one turn each trying to give the other the Breaths on even a calm surface without the Vests and with the Vests; you’ll swamp the others head under water probably and now you may have to deal with water in the lungs in addition to SWBO. I want to see a lot more of your vids together. Please.

Another amazing epi you Guys. Thanks for sharing. and a special thanks for the fish identifying, most channels don't do that and it really helps newbies like me. I've done some saltwater fishing on the west coast of the US but this will help me for when I'm spear fishing in the reefs all over the world. also a quick question... do you always leave your snorkel in place when your free diving? I've heard from a few pros that it is NOT recommended.

Beware of shallow water blackout. Always free dive with a buddy when exceeding 40' . Scuba dove the Blue Hole did 152' (way beyond sport dive limits) Got "Narked" but ascending dissipated the effects. Scuba would really expand your depth and range but its trade off. Tanks weights & bc plus a compressor to refill tanks. Atticus is only 30' so you might be max real estate now
    Love you guys, stay safe
