@@olderetiredtreemahn3234 Snook is closed but Marco Island and on the Atlantic side season opens Sept 1st with a bag limit of 1 28" min -> 32" max size. For Redfish it does open Sept 1st but Marco Island and the Atlantic it is open with a Bag Limit of 2 18" Min -> 27" Max with a bag limit of 2. Of course, I have not caught any yet in those areas 😀
It may be. It is usually good fishing down there but we have had days where we did not get much. Most of the time we did well there but it is fishing, just go and enjoy and I am sure you will catch something. 😁 Blind pass most baits work and even lures. I usually used live shrimp, fiber mullet, and pins, which worked. Live shrimp always worked. I hope that helps
mostly live shrimp. Small shrimp will not work but the medium to large ones work pretty well. I have also used green backs and small pins but mainly live shrimp.
@@damianmartinez725 We have figured that out over time for Sanibel. Over here on the Upper East side the morning is just as good as the evening for Red. Snook are around all day but only seem to really bite in the morning or evening.
That first fish is bleeding from the gills. He will die. Also, stop holding the fish by the lower lip. Places tremendous stress where the neck meets the head. Stop it
At times it happens when they bleed from the gills. We try to avoid it but sometimes, depending on where the hook is located it is not always possible. I used to hold it differently but was told many times to hold it that way by many anglers.
Looks like a great day 👍
Too bad they had to close that side.
Maybe a big storm will wash that peninsula out.✌
Which side is still open?
@@jasonudchitz302 believe he said the west side by the jetty 😉
It was a great day.. They are supposed to dredge it back out but I am not sure when that will happen.
@@BeyondFishingFamily yes there's always ecological concerns. Good news redfish season opens September 1st Snook will remain closed

Snook all day. Great day fishing
It was a good day fishing. I wish I could have caught something else though but it is better than a catfish. 😁
I'm going down there in a little over a month. Do you think the fishing will be similar then?

If u don’t mind , what bait where you guys catching all the snook with especially the bigger snook ?

Do pinfish work at day ?
@@damianmartinez725 Pins can work but they do not work all the time. Shrimp tends to work all the time but if they are small then not so much.
@@BeyondFishingFamily if u didn’t know at night there’s a better chance for bigger snook and redfish 💪

At 0:08 What's the swimming in the water. Manatee , dolphin or shark ???
Manatee 🙂
@@BeyondFishingFamily Nice 👌 👍
actually had 3 dolphins chase a Snook on my line as we were going down the beach. There's a couple of videos on utube of Snook getting chased.😉
Is this the west coast of Florida? Good day for you and your wife
Yes, it is the West Coast of Florida on Sanibel Island.
Just get a drop net you won’t have that problem and better for the fish
Thank you for watching! We have a net but I forgot it. :-). I tend to always forget something when we go. :-)
Support the fish with two hands, you could break their jaw by bending back their mouth.
Thank you! We have been doing that with the larger fish we catch. As we gathered more information we are better at this now. No perfect but better.😁
Dude is treating those snook like shit.
