This video came at the perfect time when a rest day became an actual living nightmare as my worst depressive thoughts came back to haunt me. I just want to be a reverb tail, softly modulated on a cloudy LFO. For some reason, this spooky season just doesn't feel right... Thanks for the video. See you next time. (btw, this is Morph, changing my handle to Noyd for cross-platform consistency)
Thanks so much for being here, and I’m really happy my video could help you in some way!! I hope everything gets better soon ❤️ ❤️ I would be honored to have you as a reverb tail if you ever become one 😂 ❤️
You just put me in a 8 min trance, Amazing playing. Those pedals are bonkers, not only do you have a ton of settings but the art work is so sick you can hang them on the wall
Today's selections are just exquisite, and that Cirrus seems singularly well suited for the harp itself and pieces played. Best review, so far; well done!
This sounds great. Have you ever done any video game soundtrack work? This stuff would fit so well in an RPG, I'd love to hear what you'd come up with.
I was researching delay pedals and this KMA was one of my options (quite far from the first tbh), but after watching your performance I'm completely sold! Unbelievable playing and the sounds you get from the delay are simply mesmerizing.
Thank you for this. Your playing is great as always and the KMA Cirrus is also amazing. I love that you added the Guardian of the Wurm. As a lover and owner of several fuzz pedals I don't NEED any more dirt, but I've been eyeballing that one anyway.
Ms. Hopkins, you are one of the few RUclips pages I listen to from beginning to end. It is nice to hear you actually play a piece music. It is wonderful! The rev-delay pedal wasn't bad either. Thank you. 💖
Sooooo... That was a POWERFUL intro, all guns blazing! The highlighting of the pedal functions in time with each note was a splendid touch indeed👌In all honesty though, what you played from 7.15 onwards was literally the stuff dreams are made of... And now I can rest 🤗
I was mesmerized by the music and your performance. Oh those strumming ❤️ The pedal’s effects were very much a musical contribution and not a distraction. You’ve got a great music track right here.
Really beautiful. In the first section of the video, some of those chimey overtones from the pedal are a bit shrill for my ears. The third section is so ambient but still melodic and rhythmic at the same time. I love it.
It added some high overtones in that first section that were a bit shrill - I didn’t want to take it out in post-production because I wanted to be transparent about how it sounds!! I had a lot of fun with this one though!!! Thanks so much for being here and listening ❤️ ❤️
Some of those passages brought tears to my eyes and just made my heart swell with their majesty and beauty. Absolutely spell-binding! Thank you so much for you art and your passion.
🎃 So dope! That Cirrus pedal was super sweet with this!! And your performances... such a Harpy Halloween treat!! 😁 So awesome to have found your channel Emily!! 🙌🐀
You can score a whole 1980's horror movie with this. E.g. First 1:28: Helicopter shot. Green K Car wagon driving down an autumnal New England road. Yellow and brown trees scatter their leaves across the road. Opening credits roll in foreground. Car arrives at worn but stately house. 1:30 - 3:00 - Unpacking montage . Boy and girl child play quietly among the leaves with a dog while the parents move a meagre number of boxes from the car. Existing furniture is all covered with sheets. Woman places picture of the family on the mantle. They are all happy and smiling on a sunny beach. As the final chords fade out, the camera pulls back to show her face - Her expression is sad and wistful. Her hand drops from placing the photo and she turns and walks slowly form the room, shoulders hunched as if defeated. You can fill in the rest. ;)
When they say that there are people playing harps when you get to heaven, I think this is what they're talking about. (whoever 'they' is) Just beautiful...
Thats a cool unit! Not that I need anymore pedals! LOL Just got me basically a travel pedal board set up! Old Blood Noise makes some nice stuff, never heard of KMA, looks like someone to watch! Russ, always good seeing your hands tweaking the pedals, and Emily great playing as always! I know you likely do weddings a lot but now days I would be surprised if you couldn't get season work with bands and such! My Cellist friend does that!
Thank you for this Emily. I've had this pedal for a few months now but have been struggling to get sounds from it that work for what I do. Time to invest more time with it methinks, this was inspiring.
This one is definitely intimidating cause of all the knobs and options it offers. I find it takes a little longer to dial in what you’re looking for, cause it’s really not a straightforward pedal like something from EQD, and they really packed this thing with options - even reverb and delay order!! I’m really happy to have inspired you!!! Thanks so much for being here 😊
Your playing is so beautiful, would you consider doing a longer musical piece where you play maybe with just one or two pedals, but for more like 30 minutes so we can really just listen to your playing? Do you have an album or music we can buy?
One of the most beautiul things I've ever heard. Until 07:10 it wasn't spooky at all, then you sent shivers down my spine hahahaha Also, I love the instructions! For a non-musician like me, being able to identify the differences is really a plus!
Emily this is amazing, it is really relaxing, gothic, and beautiful. You should offer this on CD, yes I actually buy music and still buy cd. I know everyone downloads, but I like CD quality and having the artwork. Anyway even if CD isn't possible, you should put a download of all your best work, like this one. this is 8 minutes of peace for me, beautiful
Fantastic video, as usual! Have you tried the DOD rubberneck? Its a "bucket brigade" delay with gain, modulation and the rubberneck (kinda warpy lol) setting. My favorite feature is the effects loop- love to run my walrus slo reverb into it.
Well that was absolutely delightful. A T M O S P H E R E. I actually have been looking for a modulation verb, or at least a shimmer verb. Harp question (I apologize if you've talked about this before) but as I understand it a pedal harps are diatonic (major scale) and you can adjust each note up or down a half step using pedals. What scale were you using in the first song?
@@emilyharpist "I usually just set my pedals in a random order and play" That actually sounds like a TON of fun! Makes me want to play the harp even more! I'm gonna have to try that, at least on piano...maybe even code up a little tool that will randomly generate scales, although I think @12tone did something similar already

This was very nice.

I would happily listen to an album of this!
I’ll put this whole thing up on bandcamp soon :)
I know I sometimes watch her videos just to hear the music.
This is so appropriate for Halloween because you’re playing like an absolute MONSTER
😂 😆 happy halloween!!!
Thank YOU for clearing up what a spatial-temporal modifier is.
Somebody had to do it!!!
this video layout where the pedals are superimposed over the room is awesome
Thanks!! I used to do a split-screen with the pedal but I found this to be so much better!!!
Absolutely love the settings, playing and vibe at 7:15
That’s probably my favorite setting and part too!!
I love this part the most.
Boards of Canada sounds at 4:47. Awesome
😊
You just put me in a 8 min trance, Amazing playing. Those pedals are bonkers, not only do you have a ton of settings but the art work is so sick you can hang them on the wall
Thanks so much, Mike!!! There are so many knobs and settings, it was a little overwhelming at first but super fun!!!

Wow thank you so much!! I really appreciate you 😊 ❤️ this one worked so well with my playing that night!!
This sounds great. Have you ever done any video game soundtrack work? This stuff would fit so well in an RPG, I'd love to hear what you'd come up with.
Thank you so much!!! I have done a LITTLE bit, but not as much as I’d like to!!! I would really love to do some more in the future :)
The synchronization of the music with the white labels (30sec in) was so exquisite it gave me goosebumps.
Thank you so much ❤️ this really made me smile
Cirrus temporal modifier sounds like a time machine name. Great sounds.
This was SO GOOD!!! Especially loved the part starting at 5:37. You are beyond amazing!
Thank you so much, Stefan!!! I really appreciate you :)
I'M STANDING, CLAPPING AND YELLING BRAVO!!!
This just made my night SO much better!
Thank you Emily!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This comment made me smile HARD :)
i love that you smile every time you finish playing. you passion shines through.
😊 thank you!!!
That last piece was hauntingly beautiful 👻

Wow, it means so much to me to hear that ❤️ I really appreciate you!! Thank YOU for being here and leaving such a nice comment!!!!
This is the kind of reverb sound I look for
It’s a cool sound!! There are so many options with this pedal hahaha but I think I covered a lot of it!! Thanks for being here Kenny 😊
The harp playing was next level!
Thanks Samuel!
Beautiful as always - I don't come here for the pedals but rather the compositions . So inspiring !
thank you so much 🥺❤️ I really appreciate that!!
Don't mind me. Just gonna melt over here because of these dreamy sounds.
Your talent and the magic of this pedal is just amazing!
Thank you so much!!! 🥰❤️
I enjoyed all of this...playing, pedals, the whole thing.
Exquisite Emily! Happy Halloween! 🎃
Excellent playing and, as ever, you really showcase what this pedal can do. I'm always impressed by your videos.
Thanks so much Simon :) your comments always mean so much to me!!!
Amazing as always

Your playing is improving week by week - so good to hear it happening for you.

One of the best pedal ever
I let this play for trick or treaters to let them know I was giving out candy because my porch light broke. Beautiful work, thank you

This really sounds like the screen print on the front of the pedal. I found one recently used that I might pickup.
Super nice pedal!! I really liked this one :) Spacey sounds with nice reverb and distortion. Kind of a, "do whatever you want pedal". Super!
