@@atomic_atom You just have to stay solid because there will be times you wish you didn't start with this, but in the end it is worth it. First time you get your led to light up, your piston to extend or your robot to function you will feel such joy and satisfaction.
Also, be prepared to invest a lot of money and time into learning.
You will need to know C++, AutoCAD, FluidSIM, PartSIM, Excel...
Also you will need expensive stuff like rapidographs which are like $80 a set, a good mechanical pencil is like $35, the compass is atleast $15 and it adds up quickly, i broke the $500 barrier within a month. And then add the price of your PC and programs..
Also, you will need some talent and i recommend taking up art classes early on, it helps with your sketches and you will be able to express yourself better.
If you are not good at math then you may not even do it, the physics are kind of hard to learn but possible while math is just unbearable. I used to have 5(highest grade) and i'm now on the border of 1 and 2 (1 means im not passing)

The mechatronics career involves different skills and knowledge of some branches of science, that's more noticeable when a project is carried out since it can be done from design to creation and programming of it, I think it's a very versatile career and where there is room for creativity when creating something at the same time that it's a well-paid career and that's why it caught my attention and I made the decision to study that career.

  • @javiertruebapichardo5827

The mechatronic engineering career is a combination of electronics and mechanics with which new ideas can be generated such as heliostats that are cheaper than a solar panel, since it is generated more than a solar panel, since it can be programmed, that is very interesting, due to the fact that it is programmed so that it follows the path of the sun to capture the greatest amount of light, they move based on air capsules that change in size to be able to position themselves exactly. For this project the combination of electronics, design and above all mathematics is necessary.

Also trying to reduce the size of the panels is something remarkable because those currently used are very large and by making the models smaller they would be cheaper and more efficient in their I use this that is being done is important because it would help many places and with it we could generate clean energy for a longer time the use of this mechatronic race and its implications are very interesting with various applications as it teaches us to be creative in everything we observe

      @Alex_Interests 5 лет назад +13

@@austinjohnson3977 I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have taken a mechatronics course. Mechacatronics deals with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and control theory. All these disciplines require knowledge of calculus, most notably differential equations. Then the field gets more into control theory which requires modeling the physics of the system and being able to control it with microcontrollers which requires coding. You'll need to understand state space modeling in order to control the system. Then you need to build the system which requires knowledge of electrical engineering. What I'm trying to say it's a multifaceted field, and you probably won't get bored because you're doing a lot of different things. If you're interested in this stuff I recommend studying mechanical engineering then enter the field of mechatronics. You'll be more than prepared for the math by then.
I have some engineering videos on my channel if you're interested! Not necessarily mechatronics though...

    • @ItIsYourBoyMe

I am currently studying mechatronics and I have heard this as well. I don't think it will be a problem though. It is a very specialised field of work indeed, but also one that more and more companies need. As told to me it is a combination of three principles: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and informatics. Knowledge of only one of these principles can not give the best result for the specific task a mechatronical engineer performs.

Well if you would want to do so, I suggest you read a book on industrial automation. If you are dutch I recommend "Industriele Automatiseringstechnieken" by A. Drost. Do know mechatronics are very expensive. If you would want to make small things like robots I would say you best look into electrical engineering. Maybe you can buy a small robot kit. That way you will get to know the basics. Next quarter I will be building custom speakers for credit. I can keep you posted on that if you would like.

I dont recommend this field as a mechatronics, hard to find a job and the salary is way worse than a software engineering. Go se and stydy C#, easy to find a job and career would be better...

      Asko it's a multiskilled job..
it had mechanical, electrical and software dude.
add physics to that and you're iron man.

Pointless study, poorly paid compared to mechanical or electrical engineers usually don’t have enough experience electrically or mechanically to competently work independently on either electrical or mechanical systems I have worked in the rolling stock, nuclear and aerospace industry and sit in on interview to employ candidates we are sold to always select someone who is an electrical engineer or mechanical engineer over someone who is mechatronics we have a maintenance team who service and calibrate robotics and CNC lathes machine tools ect and they have employed a few mechatronics people and had to let them go and employ 4 electrical engineers and 4 mechanical engineers because the mechatronics people just didn’t understand enough in depth of either field at Rolls-Royce aerospace we call them failed electrical engineers.
