@@calmrakegame pass is such a huge W for this reason. There is no way I'd be $60-70 for this but because it was just available to me through game pass I'm getting to try it out. I wonder if Steam would ever do something similar.

Getting Mantis' Ship and having pirates running away from me was extremely unexpected and fun
@TheMacroShow I thought the oxygen challenge was bugged but it turns out you actually have to use up all the white bar and the red bar to complete the challenge

I think powers deserve a mention too, as they become a good part of the gameplay and almost totally negates the "exploring , regaining oxygen and running again " part

The hero we needed
Vasco is a comedic relief robot companion, sort of like Claptrap from Borderlands but less emotional. Also his design reminds me of Loader Bots from BL as well, so it's an easy pick.
If they extend the mao whilst on foot then a mech/hover bike update would be so cool
About the oxygen challenge, I don’t know if it was recently fixed or not, but up until recently I was only depleting the white o2 bar and letting it refill and that didn’t count towards the challenge. Out of curiosity I depleted the white o2 and maxed out the red co2 bar and it actually counted towards the challenge.
Started playing yesterday, didn't even make it to new Atlantis yet, got lost on Kreet trying to find the last Flora that I can't seem to find anywhere lol
This game reminds me of this game I used to play called “Starbound”. It’s basically Starfield and Terraria combined. Pretty solid game, gonna have to buy Starfield now.

They made the ship editing so good but we hardly get to use our ships since exploring is done mainly using fast travel and the fact that you can't fly your ship in a planets atmosphere is a crime

In order to upgrade you oxygen you need to burn all your oxygen and let the red bar go all the way. Tho you might already know this

I'm playing Starfield right after Baldurs Gate 3 and I do think that affects your opinion of Starfield since they both are RPGs. I actually give Starfield the same rating as him a 6.5-7.5/10 and maybe would've given it higher if I hadn't played BG3 or Tears of the Kingdom. It's a good RPG game but nowhere near the other greats of this year and Spiderman 2 hasn't even come out yet. I'm just happy to have game pass on the PC so I didn't have to spend $70 on Starfield. BG3 and TOTK was worth every penny though and could've sold for way more.
@@consilienc3 I personally think the gameplay is better than both totk and bg3 and starfield is definitely not getting swept under the rug by spider man 2
@Jd-kw9yz I def agree with the gameplay being better in starfield compared to bg3, I'm not a fan of turn based combat systems, but bg3 still clears starfield regardless. Totk's gameplay can suck if you approach it like you would any other game, but you can build mechs and planes and automated bombing drones, and crazy swords with laser beams

I'm gonna have to subscribe because Macro just likes gaming. A million other RUclipsrs are just in it for the bag and make videos like "THIS GAME LITERALLY KILLED MY PARENTS!!!"

Graphics are weird
At the same time, it’s been delayed already and they let out an unfinished game for 70$. I feel bad for anyone disappointed who got the game now, could’ve waited for a sale in a year or two when the game is a lot better

Not to mention the Capital Wasteland Mercenaries from a few years ago, maybe that was them testing the FO3 waters in Creation Engine

They are both open world rpg's, starfield is backed by Microsoft and is their flagship console exclusives for the generation. Even if they are sorta different, there's absolutely zero reason why the dialogue options in this game are not only a lot harder to find, but also less branching

I was playing the main quest when I got a bounty on my head when I was traveling to new Atlantis main quest, I ended up getting arrested and became a agent for the uc against the pirate faction I then later betrayed the uc and became a pirate it was awesome and this is just a side quest that ended up being 7 hours long

Bro why does everyone hate on the adoring fan? The first time I saw him I recruited him on my fleet. Best NPC in game!
7:04 What do you mean by that? Inon Zur composed both the Fallout and the Starfield score and the Fallout 4 Main Theme is great, so I guess you think the only music in Fallout are the licensed tracks?

Basically, if you love Bethesda games you already know the answer to whether you should play the game or not but if you came for THE space exploration? This game will be the biggest piece of dogsh*t for you
Yeah, tbh I'm kinda annoying when people compare this to space sims since they're completely different. This wasn't made to be a space sim, and shouldn't be treated as if it was.

@@sai_neko_reddy from what I've heard, the marketing was kinda mixed. But still you should always check what people who've played it say about it, and if all they do is compare it to space sims and not rpgs, you'll get the wrong idea of the game. Comparing to space sims doesn't help anyone, since that's not what it is
There should totally be fun methods of exploring on each world. I liked Destiny's summonable sparrows. Perhaps something similar would work great for StarField

I went for the diplomat build too, and tbf I'm not too disappointed, except for a few times when I felt like I could have solved a mission a lot easier by lying or persuading etc, and the game wouldn't give me the option to approach the mission that way.
For attackers there's a diplomacy or intimidation option to make them stop attacking you for a bit, but it's just unpractical to use and a bit ridiculous so I never use it.
About the Oxygen and storage capacity I agree 100%, it's super fkng annoying. And you could have also mentioned the USELESS food/aid items that increases your oxygen or carrying capacity for like 2 MINUTES. I think that's what I hate more.
But I'm really addicted to the game tho
Vasco is the best because he's the only one I can do illegal activity with without him being a wuzz about it

Fallout 3 and 4 had a score also and guess what the same composer did them. It's no coincidence that the revelation melody used in Starfield is almost identical to that used and fall out.
I just wanna know because no one has answered this question for me.
Is it really REALLY necessary to spend hundreds of hours building an Outpost for your inventory management? Or I can just go galaxy from galaxy with only the inventory of my character and ship.
Because guys I really loved this game but I do not have the time to spend it in building a damn outpost :c

Oxygen challenge is not bugged, you actually have to drain all of the O2 AND completely fill bar with CO2 till its red. Hope that helps
the first ship battle was kinda hard since they wouldnt stop moving up it was easy other then that since i was a bounty hunter but i dont really like the ship battles now

Btw for that oxygen challenege it seems that it needs you to use all your oxygen and carbon dioxide to get to the full red bar
Plus some venders have a limited amount of credits so they cant fully pay for items that you sell.
I've been playing for a while and recently I discovered a bug that, to put simply, I just cant move while im first person... I don't know why, or how, I just can't... I do know it started on a 0g space station on, I think, the Olympus sistem ? So be aware

do people not realize you can store items in your ship at any time any where even when over encumbered just go to the ship menu go to cargo and switch to player inventory and transfer your mountain of loot boom you have a 600+ carrying capacity. i don't understand why every review complains about carry weight.

If I played this game and I got rich in the game I would build a big ball that inside is a whole big interior or a cheese ship so when I activate a button a lot of weapons come out of my shop if it's even possible
