Wooow I couldn’t believe how fast and easy this was, I caught myself in the garage looking for old brass items to clean more 😂😂.. Awesome Video

Thanks! I used the powder in this video, but I now prefer the the liquid. It’s less abrasive and easier to work with. No mixing. Put a small amount on a dry cloth and polish. Then wash and dry.😊

Yesterday, I was thinking (not talking) about how I would like to clean my brass floor lamp and BAM! Today, your video popped up on my feed.

This is a great video. I am so glad to see this ,I have a lot of brass candles and other pieces that I need to clean. Thank you so much for your help ❤

I buy brass every time I see it at thrift stores or estate sales. Some pieces have so much patina and dirt that you would never think they would come clean. But, they do with the two products you use. I’ve had to clean some pieces with etchings in them and several elaborate candle holders. That’s when I use a soft bristle toothbrush to get into hard to reach areas. It works great! Thanks for such an informative video.

Thanks for the tip. I cover the inside of a plastic container with aluminium foil and add a couple of tablespoons of bicarbonate soda . I think you call it baking soda over there, I am in Australia. . Place Sterling silver jewellery in the dish and pour in boiling water. It bubbles and fizzles and cleans into all the crevices. Rinse really well with cold water.Only use on genuine Sterling Silver and not marquisite or anything set with stones. The best way to clean your silver jewellery that I have ever found and I worked at a jewellery store for many years.

Wow! I never thought of using barkeeper's friend for polishing brass, even though I have some and use it for polishing up my SS pots and pans. Thanks for the great tip, Natasha!

It's hard to tell for certain from the side-by-side comparison at the end, but it looks like the Bar Keeper's Friend may have been more abrasive and left sort of a scuffed finish, or perhaps the finish was already a little rougher. For a super shine, you can't beat a buffing wheel with the appropriate buffing compound.

🥦🟦very informative, thank you. I've been using brasso, if I clean it. I did a couple of lamps, it was very labor intensive.

I use the liquid Barkeepers Friend. The directions do say to make sure you ventilate the area well and I'll second that. I turn on the kitchen vent fan, wear gloves and open the windows. The vapors are pretty intense if you're doing multiple pieces and it's taking time. It's acidic so not great for mucous tissue like eyes, nose and eventually lungs. Especially with kids or animals around. But super effective to get brass clean!

Thanks for the video. Do you think either baking soda and/or Bar Keeper's Friend would be good to use on brass and ceramic incense burners to remove oils and resins residue?

    Wow!! Fantastic cleaning job!!
I know it takes time to put these videos together but when you have some time (no rush of course), could you share as to how you clean up other items? Pillow cases with fringe, purses, knick knacks (spelling?), lamp shades and costume jewelry.
I'm not too good at this and don't know what products to use on some of these various things. Also, what type of brush or type of cloth you use (depending on the item)
Thank you Nateesha for all your wonderful videos.

Awesome! I use Etsy shipping labels and get 30-40% off shipping. I also have a Canada post business account, and that helps me save a little bit on shipping within Canada 😊

It is too lengthy procedure . Use lele brand BRASS and Copper Cleaner instead of this .
