My occasional dream is going outside, it's daytime, and the sky is black - the atmosphere has somehow been swept away. There's an ominous sense of impending doom.
Same here , that dream freaked me out and it was at night time when the planets were showing so it was even creepier. I knew in my mind I should not be seeing the planets so close. The planet that stood out the most was a red planet.

1) The sun is not a planet
2) The moon is not a planet
3) The moon replaces itself, with itself? I don't know.
3) Pluto should be on the list, as it was considered to be a planet once.
4) If you're talking 'proximity', if the second Earth were to be placed exactly where the moon is - it would be a lot closer than depicted here. Even closer than the GIANT Jupiter. Wouldn't it?!?

Correct except uranus which has a gravity 12 percent weaker than earth's, so uranus would still be our moon

basically the distance between earth and the moon is aprox 384,400 km and the radius of the sun is aprox 696,340 km.
my initial point is that there wouldn't be any earth to burn, since it would be *inside the sun* if the sun were to replace the moon. so no, overlaying the image with flames is *not* what would happen. :P

Quite often I have dreams in which I look at the sky and see various planets just moving through or sometimes even towards me. I love those dreams, because the views are simultaneously beautiful and uncanny.
This reminds me of the dreams i had where there would be multiple moons, multiple planets, moving stars, ect.
It was cool but filled me we an uneasiness of seeing something other than the regular sized moon or sun in the sky.
