- I finally ordered the guitar I’ve been looking at. For many years I have dreamed of owning and playing a better quality guitar. Today I received it via Fed-X from Sweetwater music.
Check it out !
Sadly after purchasing this guitar I found out it is not USA made! 😞 Taylor somewhere along the way bailed on manufacturing these in the USA!

I just bought myself a really beautiful new Breedlove it has a red cedar top mahogany back and sides solid wood no laminate I named her Eleanor ...Eleanor means light and she sings like an angel... picking out and buying a guitar is almost a spiritual experience✝️🌻🕊

Top is solid koa and sides and back “layered” koa , not junk laminate . Yes Mexican made but still excellent quality, buy full wood guitar and you have to be very careful to humidify correctly. This guitar you don’t have to be so careful, excellent choice sir.

Amazing guitar. Played this today at Guitar Center. Stuck between this and the 314 CE V class. I am leaning towards the 314 because its American made and all wood body. Love the way the 244 plays sucks that the body is not all solid wood for the minimal price difference between the 314.

Hello Pastor and God bless. I bought the exact same guitar used a 2017 model a month ago and just played it at a church event called coffee shop last week. I sang and played Psalm 23 in DADGAD tuning like that fellow on RUclips I think his name is Justin. I like that instrument because it's perfect for me the size being just smaller than a dreadnought and the cutaway so I can solo on the higher frets. I have the elixir strings and I downloaded the factory specifications for set up which I do myself because I work on guitars. I had to take the bridge saddle down 1/32 of an inch and take the nut down a little. And the neck relief on that guitar should be about .040 inch where most acoustics are .010". Keep up the good work and God bless you and your ministry. The other thing people don't know is that pick up system is so amazing it does not feed back when you get it reasonably loud like other acoustics and the power of that low E string I can feel it in my stomach. Amazing instrument I would pick this over the top of the line Taylor 914 CE for me this guitar is better. God bless you and your ministry. Mike from New Jersey.

Congrats on your first Taylor, brother! You will enjoy it for many years. I got my first Taylor (710ce) in 2001, then later added a Baby Taylor (2003), a T5 (2008) and last year got a Custom 414ce-R that Taylor makes for Musician’s Friend. Keep using your talents (and guitars) for the glory of the Lord!

Ya baby!! I was considering that exact guitar for myself for the same purpose. Waymaker is on our set list every 7 weeks. Deciding on just which Taylor to get, I have found, is an extremely difficult decision. Each time I look at Sweetwater’s site I start drooling, become dehydrated from it, and have to stop looking until the next day. Did you have it PLEKed?

Ultimately, I got an AD 27E Taylor, which actually plays and sounds better than this guitar. I use it every week now.
I am still leading worship, but now it’s at two churches that I Pastor and my kids help me along with others. Thank you for watching.
sounds great unplugg.... may i request you to make video plugg in to check the pre amp..... actually my wish is to buy taylor in the future and also buy a yamaha with transacoustic, i will just get the transacoustic PA then install in the taylor..... thats what im immagining to do.
I actually traded in this Taylor for an AD27e which I think sounds even better but isn’t quite as pretty

I had one just like that, the looks sucked me in. I also had a 114 at the time. I was never happy with the sound, koa is supposed to improve with age. I traded for 314 with their new/old style bracing as the sound was superior. Yours sounds good on the vid. Turns out I'm a Gibson acoustic guy, still have the Taylor though.

@@PastorRF why’d you send it back? I got a 214CE Koa and thinking about sending it back to exchange for another Taylor or even Martin with a thicker neck (nut width) Since I’m used to a thicker neck. I am the singer for the church but my main instrument is the piano. Did they charge you to send it back for the other one? How are you liking the new one?

Think youre supposed to wait 24 hours for the guitar to "climatize"before you unpack it.Sounds daft to me but what do i know.
Climate was very similar outside to inside this time of year.
That Taylor 224ce with Koa is beautiful. MIM factory is owned by Taylor with super skilled workers. Should be a forever guitar worshipping God!! Btw, what parts did you use for the strap locks especially on the weird ES2 button? Was it music nomad with Schaller locks?

I ended up in the long run trading this one in on an AD27e Taylor with the new V bracing. I use it every Sunday in church. It has a better sound for live performance than the 224 does
I also want that one but haven't any😭 budget, Hopefully Lord will Gift me🙌🏼✝️
It took many years to be able to buy one like this. I went many many years with a cheap one. I turn 50 years old next Feb.

I took a long time making my choice. I played a lot of Martin, Taylor and Gibson guitars. If I felt like I could have spent more I would have gone for the Gibson J45. I didn’t care for the Martin guitars. I guess it’s a personal taste. - thanks for watching

Buying a Taylor for playing chords. To me sounds like a waste.
Sorry you feel that way - have you not noticed how many are used for mainly playing chords! Thousands but I also fingerpick too so there is that 🤷🏻♂️. So if you just play chords and don’t find them to be worthy of a Taylor oh well. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
